Chapter 40 - Revenge Part 2/2

*A month after Bloodrends attack on Fargas*

Aisrin had joined the armies of Fargas in their crusade against Bloodrend under the leadership of Elvira. As they were taking back their towns and villages, Aisrin had begun to further digress into a fearsome symbol of death.

Both enemies and allies alike had begun to fear him. His ruthless and Merciless demeanor made him tyrannical in the eyes of the people.

Bordertown was not spared any mercy either. Once the large force had successfully passed into Bloodrend territory, Aisrin became even more ruthless, killing not only soldiers, but even civilians who got in his way.

"Aisrin? Are you... are you alright?" Blackhawk finally approached Aisrin after the armies had set up camp somewhere near the annihilated Dorstend.

"Never better." Aisrin responded, emotionlessly. Blackhawks face clouded over as if something had been confirmed, but said nothing else and left him be. By dawn, the Armies had begun to move once again.

The following villages and towns had been entirely abandoned, the closer they got to Bloodrend City. They were all burned, crops and houses alike to block the armies from a means of resupply.

"They prepared in advance. Most likely after the Bordertown massacre." Elvira commented as she glared at Aisrin. Even the girls seemed to be distancing themselves from Aisrin.

Aisrin didn't care, it was as if he had been replaced with a darker and undesirable spirit. He had a cold aura about him, and his eyes were Void with nought but deep hatred.

Soon the walls of Bloodrend City rose above the horizon, and Aisrin could finally see his revenge spread before him. Elvira rose her hand to halt the armies progression.

"We shall camp here and prepare for tomorrows battle." Elvira announced and the armies quickly began setting camp. Aisrin instead left them and stood staring at the City.

"Six god damn years. Six accursed years! Thinking about how you just lived your lives comfortably while I suffered, it makes my blood boil! But, now... now I'm back. And your omen of destruction with me! Just you wait for me, I'll be seeing you soon!" Aisrin reached his hand out and clasped it into a fist at the end of his declaration.

*

Aisrin sat outside the camps, glaring at the City, while the soldiers were being merry and drinking. A custom in this world, he found meant to be a way of leaving your regrets behind, before a looming death on the battlefield.

Unbeknownst to him, he was being watched. His every move noted in their mind.

*Noon the next day*

The Armies had long began their march upon the capital city. Siege magicians were charging up their spells to break down the barriers surrounding the walls, and hopefully to break through into the city.

The seconds ticked by before the magicians at long last signaled the start of the Siege by releasing their magic. Though they were repelled by the barriers.

Bloodrends soldiers and magicians returned fire and the battle ensued. No progress was made due to the barriers, infuriating Aisrin.

"Meteor Fall!" Aisrin shouted. From above Bloodrend, a giant ball of flames fell swiftly. It seemed to engulf the sky above the city and when it collided with the barrier, there was a ear shattering boom as it shattered the barriers. The spell was mostly dispelled, but the fragmented remainders rained upon the city.

The first scars of war had finally touched the city, billows of smoke rose from within the city. Aisrin wasn't finished though, he once again pointed his magic towards the city, aiming for the gate.

"Fire Ball times fifty!" Aisrin once again shouted. Fifty fireballs raced towards the city gates.

(That's overkill and you know it! Snap out of this Aisrin!)

Aisrin ignored the voice in his head, only a sickening look of glee was present on his face. The gate was effectively destroyed, as well as the sections of wall around it. Several buildings were obliterated and others were on fire and being consumed. Civilians had began to run away, while others perished in the flames. Others had been wiped from existence.

None of them had ever thought that the city would be breached so easily and the thought of retreating from the gates never arose in their minds. Aisrin led the charge through the gates. A small Faction followed him. Soldiers and guards had rushed to the demish3d section of city to defend it from invading forces.

Aisrin easily cut through them. He sped through the enemy, spraying blood all over the streets. His mind further deteriorated as soon as he entered the city. His sword cut down everything before him.

He took his time going through the city. By the time night approached, and he stood before the palace, blood ran thick in the streets of the city. Aisrin himself was drenched in the black sticky liquid, some had dried while some had began to clot. There was even fresh blood still on him.

His appearance was more Demonic than the ancient stories depicted them to be. Aisrin met more resistance as he approached the doors of the palace. But he would not be stopped. He stabbed and slashed his way through.

Finally, he stood in the throne room and stared at a the king standing before his throne, dressed fully in battle gear.

"You dare to stand before me? Have you no sh-" Aisrin flashed before the king and swiftly separated his head from his body.

"You talk too much." Aisrin stated. The decapitated king fell, his blood decorated the now empty throne. Aisrin smiled and sat in the seat. The scene was nothing short of tyrannical. Aisrin looked every bit a tyrant as he sat upon the throne.

Aisrin didn't sit for long. He still had one more person to kill. And he felt that it'd be rude to keep her waiting for too long. Wandering the halls and courtyard yielded him no results in finding her.

A thought occurred to him and he headed back towards the throne room, where he happened upon her. She stood above her father, a large grin on her face.

"Nothing can stop me from taking your throne now father! Ah! Sadly I must take our beloved people and abandon this city, but fret not... I'll get vengeance for you!" Her last words and expressions didn't match at all.

"You'll go no where bitch." Aisrin revealed his presence. Miriam spun around, startled. Her expression softened and then returned back to a sneering grin.

"What a lovely look you have, Aisrin the Hero. No, perhaps Tyrant fits you best now?" Miriam jeered.

"I don't care what I'm called. I just want to see your throat split open and your blood spilled on the ground." Aisrin answered as he raised his blade once more.

"If you kill me, you'll only be seen as the Demon who killed the royal family. Surely, you don't want to further drag your name? You've killed my father, my brother, and now you want to kill me too?" Miriam began to act.

"We both know the truth Miriam. You caused me years of suffering as a slave in the Empire. Then you executed my family as some sort of sick Justice! Well... now I've massacred your city, bled your soldiers dry, I've burned the buildings and soaked the streets in Bloodrends Blood! Now, I'll christen my work with yours. And I'll finally be rid of your cursed existence!" Aisrin shouted as he lunged forward.

A shot rang out and an empty feeling spread through Aisrin. His strength faded and he fell to his knees. A hole had been opened in his chest. He stared at it, feelings and emotions flooded into him. Regret and remorse were at the top of the list.

"Sorry Aisrin. But, I can't let you do that." A familiar voice spoke from behind him. Aisrin coughed up blood.

"Blackhawk...?" Aisrin muttered. Blackhawk stepped forward and stepped up between him and Miriam.

"The goddess was right. You really are enshrouded in darkness. All those innocent people... Why?" Blackhawk knelt down before Aisrin.

"I... I don't know... what was I doing?" Aisrin could feel his body grow cold.

(Your heart has been punctured. You've used all your mana up in the city... There's no regenerating this... but at least you're you again.)

"Tch! Pretending gets you no where Aisrin! Miriam has been proven innocent by the goddess! She said you were an agent of darkness, sent by the demons to weaken humanity and sow the seeds of war between the Continents!

I've witnessed your misdeeds throughout the city! Only someone evil could conduct such heinous deeds!" Blackhawk suddenly exclaimed.

"You fucking... hah... moron!... It's a.... lie-...." Aisrins eyes clouded as his life left him, leaving him kneeling in his eternal slumber.

*

Blackhawk stared at Aisrins dead body. He felt saddened at his friends death, but it was necessary.

"Ah, my hero!" Miriam threw her arms around Blackhawk. Blackhawk wasn't looking at her, but she had the most ecstatic look of glee. She looked at Aisrins corpse with a sneer. Afterall, even the goddess was on her side.

*The unseen world*

Askarah stood over Aisrins body. A sadistic look of lustful desire was on her face. She was a slender woman with bright violet hair and eyes. She was large breasted and fat assed.

"One more earthling soul! Ah, their taste is so addicting!" Askarah reached out and pulled Aisrins soul out. A red ring of chaos inscription floated around it. Askarah opened her mouth and brought the soul towards her.

"So this was your plan? I can't say it wasn't well thought out. But, I guess even some back water, third rate goddess can come up with a semi decent idea." Loki appeared before Askarah, while also taking Aisrins soul from her.

"Tch. Return that soul to me. It belongs to my world." Askarah snapped as she reached back for the soul. Loki moved it out of reach.

"The moment he contracted me, I knew. This man was once a Soul on Earth. You know how taboo that is? Even I'm not that crazy! Ah.. I'm getting sidetracked... What did I come here for... ah, yes. Askarah, as per the decree... some old people, in order to uphold something important with the Supreme One, you are hereby stripped of all your holy Divinity... blag blah blah... effective immediately... more jibberish that I didn't pay attention to, and bye bye." Loki half assedly relayed a message. Sure as shit, right after he did, Askarah lost all her beauty and turned into a grotesque creature. Not easily or immediately of course, she was screaming and tearing at her flesh for hours.

As for Aisrin he was carried by Loki back to the realm of the gods. Aisrin was not conscious nor aware of any of this.

Shortly after he was brought to the gods, as a soul, a discussion broke out amongst them.

"Earthlings don't reincarnate, ever. It's one of His rules. As it is, we can't give him back. His path once was eternal life in Heaven, but, he's been through two lives." Horus spoke out the strongest in the discussion.

"Then do we give him eternal life the only way we can?" Anubis asked the council.

"I doubt anyone would appreciate that kind of eternity." Hades disagreed.

"Perhaps make him Immortal then?" Zues offered.

"He's already been dead in that world for a few millennia. Well, not that it matters since it's been through a reset now. After Askarah fucked it all up with her chaotic reign. I agree with Anubis. Just Re-Reincarnate him for eternity." Athena proposed.

"That's terrible! At least remove his memories from the last world beforehand! A soul can't handle the capacity of multiple lives, that's why reincarnation with intact memories was prohibited in the first place!" Hephaestus jumped in.

"Why not just reincarnate him one last time with all of his skills and abilities, at level one of course. We'll remove the 'False Hero Seed' that Askarah embedded in his soul. Also the chaos inscription that's been seared on his soul will need an equal amount of blessings to balance so he doesn't lose himself again, or get controlled so easily.

Let's also make sure to erase all of his sufferable memories. Leave all of his Earth memories intact, but meddle with Elrims memories. Let's also make him Immortal, to an extent, so I don't have to drag his ass back here again." Loki finally compromised the situation with his own blend of ideas. Muttering and discussions broke out amongst the deities before they agreed to Loki's idea.

Thus Aisrin was once again sent off to reincarnate once more.
