Chapter 39 - Filler/Revenge Part 1/2

For the next 6 months, Aisrin avoided being around the royal family, as well as the girls. His main goal was to level up and gain power to conure his only goal. The complete annihilation of Bloodrend.

He conquered dungeons, subjugated hordes of beasts and fought against many opponents, earning him the prestige of being Elrims strongest and Merciless being.

He commanded skills that had not been seen or heard of before. He truly looked every part the demon he was. His abilities grew faster than ever before, and he reached heights he'd never imagined.

His name spread through out the Continents and the Empire like wildfire. The Empire, knowing what they had done, feared for their own well being and forbade any trade between them and the Continents.

Fargas became prosperous and enjoyed a relative peace between them and the surrounding kingdoms of man. Ruen became prestigious for its capability to produce such a monster, whether it was by their own doing or not.

Nights Dawn rose to the top three guilds within those 6 months, astonishing everyone including themselves. But peace wouldn't last.

Despite the danger and the warnings, Bloodrend continued to amass their armies, and finally set out to march upon Fargas and take the capital, Fargo.

They trampled the lands, and refugees flooded the city. Instead of marching directly to Fargo, the Forces of Bloodrend chose to surround the Capital, isolating them and removing the supply lines. Aisrin had been in the labyrinth for 4 months, attempting to conquer it.

When he returned out of boredom, he was called upon, and set out to fight a war he was already prepared for. This army, was nothing but a gift in his eyes. A prelude to the fall of the most hated Kingdom.

*Present*

Aisrin stood atop one of the Siege towers, looking at the infinite number of campfires that dotted the once desolate plains.

"Idiots. Camp fires are basically telling the Enemy, 'Hey, attack here!' Espically at night." Aisrin muttered.

"You seem unfazed." The King noted. The two decided to take a stroll to survey the situation.

"It'll be a breeze to destroy such a puny army. I've fought hordes of monsters in the labyrinth and dungeons that'd put them to shame." Aisrin answered easily.

"Only you would be bold enough to say something so outlandish." Deramus shook his head with a sigh.

"This also provides me an opportunity to finally trample upon that accursed kingdom." Aisrin honestly stated.

"That's... understandable?" Deramus looked at Aisrin in concern. Aisrin had become far more Demonic looking, both in style and in personality. His attire all black, two black wings sprouting from his back, and horns adorned his head.

"So, how many times did you berserk?" Deramus pointed at the horns, for the third time.

"I didn't, they just don't go away." Aisrin replied, he didn't like them either, or the wings. They felt unnecessary.

"I see... I do hope you have a plan to thwart this... invasion. I promised to leave it to you as it was your request." Deramus mentioned.

"I do. You shall see tomorrow." Aisrin assured the king. Deramus simply sighed. This man was frightening and unpredictable. And he had less faith in his personality since his emergence from the labyrinth.

"I hope so..." Deramus muttered as he left Aisrin. Aisrin grinned maliciously at the dotted landscape, anticipating the arrival of dawn.

*Dawn*

Aisrin was standing outside the gates of Fargo, the armies of Fargas at his back. The approaching Armies of Bloodrend where gathered on the horizon, a thousand meters ahead.

Iwata stood before them, leading the force.

"Ah, Sin-Kun! Ah, no, that's incorrect! Aisrin! I've been awaiting this moment for so long! Now I can finally take your head!" Iwata called out in a gross tone. Obviously, Aisrin could hear from that distance, but chose to ignore it.

"Ah, I see how it is." Iwata switched into a serious tone and motioned the army to advance. Aisrin simy moved forward, and the army behind him followed. This March quickly became a jog, and finally a charge, with both sides yelling and drawing their weapons until the two collided with the infinite sounds of Iron striking iron and the immediate sounds of death wails as the first lives were taken.

Aisrin lost sight of Iwata, who had retreated into the midst of the Bloodrend ranks. Aisrin easily cut through the soldiers as if they weren't there to begin with. Their armors nothing but paper before his sword.

"Wind Blade." Aisrin stated as he sent a simple blade of wind through the ranks before him. Taking around a hundred men with that single strike. This made those around him wary and terrified.

Iwata too, was stunned. It was a whole column of men who just perished and left a void in their ranks, that was filled by the enemy, easily breaking into their own defenses.

*Six hours into the battle*

The smell of blood filled the air and the ground became wet beneath the feet with it. The casualties were heavy on both sides, but none could touch the Demonic beast that dominated the field. Men fell like flies before him, and the screams of the dead surrounded him like a christening.

"I can't fight him! Miriam-Sama! He's... He's not mortal! It's as if a Death God has descended upon the battle field!" Iwata trembled at the back of his army, speaking into a crystal that connected him to Miriam.

"Tch! Retreat then! I can not afford to lose more men due to your impotence! Aisrin has obviously undergone some sort of Demonic ritual!" Miriam replied with both fear and hatred in her voice.

"Of- of course! RETREAT! FALL BACK TO BLOODREND!" Iwata immediately called. Aisrin looked over at the Hero of Bloodrend and grinned before lunging towards him, cutting down each man that stood in his way.

Aisrin seemed to materialize before Iwata, a look of Demonic glee adorned his face.

"I thought you wanted my head? Why leave so soon Japanese?" Aisrin taunted. Iwata's face fell as he realized who he faced.

"You... you're from Earth too?" Iwata trembled, his sword and crystal fell from his hands.

"Physically, no." Aisrin answered and took the man's head in one motion. The look of terror and regret frozen on Iwatas face as his head fell to the ground.

The Armies of Bloodrend fell into disarray quickly, and were swiftly dealt with. The couple thousand that escaped were left alone. The battlefield was littered with the dead. Aisrin was covered in the blood of thousands, and still he beheld a look of uncaring.

(I warned you not to put that damn ring on! Now you look like a tyrant!)

The ring mentioned was an all white ring with red inscriptions he had found in the boss room of the labyrinth. In exchange for unfathomable power, he had to give up his humanity. Aisrin assumed that meant actual giving up the little bit of human blood in him and put on. But it instead took away all the emotions that made one human.

Kindness, mercy, love, sympathy, ect. Leaving him only hatred, anger, and a deep desire to destroy all who stood in his way to what he wanted. One of the effects was the unwillingness to take the ring off after placing it on.

'Yes, and it feels great!'
