Chapter 92 - Leap of Faith.

"Now, I am not very experienced in taking and modifying skills but my lord gave me the basics so I should be fine." Diablo said as he looked at the restrained Zalario.

They were inside Diablo's Temptation world, it was akin to a mirror to the real world, but inside it Diablo was akin to a god with absolute control.

Zalarius was fully immobilized by the chains all around him holding him with his arms and legs apart from his body. Feathers from his wings were strewn all across the floor.

A sadistic smile appeared on Diablo's face as his hand began to glow.

"This might hurt a little. Unlike my lord, I cannot easily meddle with Ultimate skills ingrained in the soul. But don't worry, as long as we are here you won't die."

"Diablo… you know that I was being forced to not let you pass right? It's not like I can just let you go meet up with your lord." Zalario asked as small beads of sweat began to form on his forehead.

"I have no idea what you are talking about."

"How are you, Dino? It's good to see you again, even under the current circumstances." Gracia said with a bright smile as she saw her old companion.

"Gracia. To tell you the truth, I am extremely angry. How can Feldway dare to destroy our lord's creation?"

"Ugh, I've had to deal with his temper tantrums for a while now. It all went downhill after he tried to talk to Zelanus. I guess it is a good thing that he let us keep our consciousness since we are old coworkers but sometimes I wish I was as clueless as Velgrynd is. I wish I had left with you." Gracia said with an annoyed tone.

"Gracia…"

"Dino, please leave. Feldway will be here at any moment and once he is here you will be in the same position as me. There isn't much we can do once we are under the influence of his skill. Believe me, I've tried." Gracia said with a begging tone.

"Don't worry, I'll get you out of-" Dino tried to speak as the palace all around them began to crack and tremble.

"Watch out!" Gracia yelled as her body suddenly moved forward as she pulled out and swung her sword.

"Just how big is this place?" Chloe asked as she looked at the bullet in front of her.

She had been wandering the halls of the palace and stopping time to capture anyone she found on her path.

She felt bad hurting them without knowing if they were being controlled or not so she just took the safe route and captured them before they even knew what happened.

With Yog-Sothoth, God of Space-time, she created a small spatial storage in which she would just throw whoever she ran into to deal with later. They wouldn't be able to leave it unless they had high control over space, and in the small chance she ran into someone like that she was ready to throw an unlimited imprisonment barrier at them.

From the moment she got separated she got teleported into a room in which she was surrounded by strong angels and phantoms. But she just stopped time and threw them all in her "bag".

She decided to try to assist by capturing the people inside so that they would not be in the way of other people and complicate things. And now she was face to face with one of the empire's strongest humans. Tatsuya Kondo.

"Oh no! A gun! My biggest weakness!" She joked inside her mind as she stared at the frozen bullet in the air. In truth, this bullet was infused with enough skills and magicules to even pierce the defenses of a true dragon, but well, it couldn't do much if it couldn't move.

[Chloe, stop wasting magicules. Just because the stopwatch and I make it easier to stop time it doesn't mean that we won't run out.] Manas: Chronoa reprimanded her.

"Alright, alright. You are no fun. Come on, into the bag you go!" she said to the frozen Tatsuya as she scooped him into her "bag".

'Teacher Balnor would be proud.'

[For someone who was extremely stressed out about this you sure do seem to be messing around too much.]

'I know, I know. I just feel so relieved. It feels like everything is finally going as planned.'

Chloe released the frozen time to conserve magicules, and just as she did that the entire palace trembled and cracked. And moment's later dragons began to roar in the distance as chaotic energy began to leak into the world.

'Ok, time to get serious.'

Chloe said as her mask appeared on her face and began to run through the halls of the palace with all of her strength. Tackling and capturing the hundreds of phantoms, angels, and humans trying to block her.

[I swear, Veldora was a bad influence on you. We should put him in another prison after this.]

Leon's sword was moving so fast it would disappear from sight. With each swing, he would expertly maneuver his opponent so that they would move in a specific pattern, fulfilling the requirements and giving enough time for his skill to activate.

Originally his Sacred Tetrahedron Demon Sealing Barrier would be most effective on demons. Light attribute beings such as the primordial angel in front of him would only be captured for a short period of time before the barrier failed.

But, during the preparation period before the attack, he had been given a book to study on. "Holy-Demonic Inversion for Dummies. A practical guide on inverting the attribute of your holy magic. By Adalman, Shuna, and Beretta."

At first, he was confused by the title but the more he read on the more he was enlightened by the amazing research notes found inside. And they were written in such a way that the meaning of the words and instructions was as clear as daylight.

And now he was putting what he had learned to the test against the primordial Pico. An angel with six small black wings that had a childish appearance, but her speed and dexterity were amazing. In exchange for a smaller frame, she was able to move around at incredible speeds, even being able to dodge and parry Leon's attacks.

Her usual strategy was to whittle down the health of her opponent using her speed, and once they were hurt or tired enough she would deal a fatal strike. Unfortunately for her, she hadn't been able to hit her target once. And by the time she realized something was wrong, it was too late.

"Cursed Tetrahedron Angel Sealing barrier."

A tetrahedron with four dark pillars made from crystallized spirits grew all around Pico. A Barrier imbued with eternity, which would steal the magic power from the target and use it to reinforce itself.

And now that its attribute had been reversed it was especially effective against her.

She tried to move out to escape but the pillars suddenly moved and wrapped around her, trapping her in place.

"Stay."

Those were Leon's only words as he left the room. Moving with ease through the crumbling palace. He wasn't worried about Pico being crushed or hurt after he left since just as the barrier kept her in place it would also keep her safe.

"Those cracks… They're connected…"

Dagruel looked at the emerging chaos dragon. He had already had a bad experience dealing with the aftermath of one chaos dragon, Milim's pet. During the rampage after Milim lost her dragon his territory had been almost destroyed.

During the chaos created by Guy and Ramiris trying to contain Milim, a giant chaotic gash had opened in his territory. It was because of it that his people and his land had been struggling for such a long time. The chaotic gash brought storms and monsters that threatened his citizens. And with the chaotic magicules, it was almost impossible to grow good crops.

Add to the fact the monsters filled with chaotic energy that continued to leave the gash in his territory he had to deal with constantly, as they were extremely strong.

He looked on at the dragon that emerged and realized the similarities between its energy and the energy leaking out in his territory.

Taking in a deep breath he stopped to think. He knew he couldn't act rashly, as this would involve the fate of his citizens and of the universe.

He looked on at the fight above him and took a deep breath.

"If he dies his magicules will probably go out of control and consume everything around it. Which would mean there is a good chance that my people would die unless I close the gash."

He looked at the crack from which Ivaraj had emerged and back at the battle above him.

"I will place my trust in all of you." he said before taking a leap of faith into the crack in space from which Ivaraj had emerged. If he was correct he would be able to close the gash in his territory by going in.
