Chapter 91 - Denial

(This is a picture of what I imagine the outside Heavenly star palace to look like. Since I will be referring to it as "Void" a lot in this chapter. Smaller chapter at 1k wordssince I have a poll/question at the end I need before continuing.)

"Sigh, this is why I told myself to never let my opponent power up. I just had to go and have some sympathy for the dude."

I looked at the completely empty eyes of Feldway before sighing once again. I really wanted to give him another chance because I knew that there was a chance those I knew would have done the same or worse. Diablo and Shion would have probably already destroyed the entire universe by now.

I really ought to talk to everyone after this. Not that I am planning on leaving, but it is better to do so either way.

I looked through the broken walls to see a long red dragon flying in our direction through the void. Velgrynd resembled a Chinese, serpent-like dragon, with a relatively small pair of wings. Her scales were crimson red and her stomach and horns were an off-white color. She flew as if she was a snake by slithering around in the sky.

There were also growing cracks on the void itself which were releasing the chaotic energy from Ivaraj. And I already knew he would be appearing from there any moment now.

I took a moment to admire the scenery all around me and to talk to Ciel. A moment than in truth was less than a fraction of a second thanks to Ciel's Thought acceleration.

'Ciel, Can you give me a report on the current situation.?'

[Of course,

The most important thing first. This entire 'world' is collapsing. You could consider this place something similar to the void world inside of you. This is something that was created alongside Veldanava, and it was being supported by Veldanava's magicules. After you obtained the Veldanava skill, the magicules that had been left to keep this place stable returned to you.

In order to keep this place stable Feldway had connected to the core of this world and managed and supported it. It didn't stop the collapse but it slowed it down significantly. He did so because otherwise this world and most of everything in it would be consumed and destroyed.]

'Does that mean that I should go to the core and stabilize it? Or would it be better to get everyone out of here? Actually, how did he even get the magicules to support this place? He shouldn't have enough on him to keep this place running.'

[There is no need to worry about that for the moment. Guy is currently heading to the core and with the magicule breeding reactor he copied from Milim he should be able to keep this place from being destroyed.

As for how he kept this place together. He exchanged the virtue skills he was a holder of for magicules. Thanks to the skill of Michael, Lord of Justice, he could provide people with angelic skills. Except instead of giving it to his phantoms or angels he was feeding them to the core.]

'What about everyone else that came with me?'

[They have all been spread out across the palace. Feldway sent angels, phantoms, and the other primordial angels to try to delay them. ]

'Where's Michael?'

[Michael's Manas' core is currently dormant inside of Feldway. This is just a prediction based on what I can observe, but I assume that Rudra's body was weakened from all of the reincarnations and the burden of holding the Ultimate skill Lord of Justice. So after leaving the cardinal world he fused with Feldway in order to be able to use the full potential of his skills.]

'I see… What about that guy over there?'

I asked as I looked at the first signs of a claw emerging through one of the cracks in the void.

[That's Ivaraj, Veldanava locked him up because he didn't want to kill him. He feeds on chaos and likes to go around destroying stuff. He has been chained up for so long that he should be thankful he is basically mindless.

It seems like bathing in his own chaotic magicules and being stuck in one place had an interesting effect. He was unstable and chaotic before but now his magicules are behaving completely erratic and volatile. He might just blow himself up at any moment without meaning to.]

Having a clearer picture of the new situation I deactivated Thought Acceleration.

"I'll stop my sister. All I gotta do is freeze her and stop her long enough for you to deal with the skill controlling her."

Velzard said as she jumped out of one of the fissures in the wall and transformed into a dragon flying straight towards Velgrynd. Velzard's draconic form resembled a white European dragon with tones of blue on her scales. With four wings on her back and what appeared to be a crown of ice on her head.

"I'll take care of that one." Milim said while pointing at the black and red draconic head emerging from the void. Her face was still as serious as the moment we arrived in this world.

"Milim, be careful, he can't even properly control his own magicules at the moment. He is a walking bomb." I warned her.

But my words only brought a cheeky smile to her face.

"Don't worry, who would know more about explosions than Little Nuke herself?" Milim jumped towards the void outside as she entered her battle mode. A blood-red horn emerged from the middle of her forehead and dark armor covered her body, along with the wings that sprouted from her back.

"Hey bro, are you good if I go help them out?" Veldora asked as he hardly could contain his excitement to fight.

"Go ahead."

And just like the two before him, he jumped and transformed before heading to assist Milim.

"I guess that leaves just the two of us, doesn't it?" I asked Feldway.

A golden shield appeared all around him as he activated castle guard. An absolute barrier that would protect the user no matter what as long as there were people who followed him. A barrier whose defense was so high that it came at the price of the user not being able to attack or use magic while being protected.

"I would like to see you try."

I could see he was planning to stall me here until the entire place collapsed. Since all he could do was stay in place and get attacked.

"That's some neat trick, that shield of yours."

I said as I moved towards him until I was right in front of the barrier.

"I gave you a chance and you didn't take it. So how about no."

[Activating Origin skill Incomplete Denial.

The usage of Castle Guard has been denied.]

~Question/ Poll ~

So I'm going to be honest, I am getting a bit tired of writing all of the fights and want to move on. And I am wondering if you all are getting tired of reading them.

I had originally planned more fights but they are not really important to finish up this arc. So the question is whether I should just focus on the main fights or if I should do the ones I had originally planned.

The options are

1. Just focus on the two/three main fights. (Milim +Veldora vs Ivaraj, Velzard vs Velgrynd, Rimuru vs Deadway/Feldway.)

2. Focus on the main fights but jump Povs to catch a glimpse as to what is happening in other fights. So they are not going to start to finish just parts of each person's fight.

3. Just go with the original plan and do all of them. It's going to be like 4/5 extra fights if I do.

I don't really mind that much either way. Though it is going to take me a while to research and make up skills for the other characters that don't have any canon skills if we go with 3. So a bit more of a hassle.

I kinda wanna get to the aftermath of all of this since it's been all I have been thinking of for the past month or so.

Alright, see ya later. Sorry for the cliff.
