As night fell, everything was plunged into darkness. It was on this moonless night that the Punishment Hall disciples left YanNan as they traveled back to GuangXi.
"Junior Jīn, I saw that painting thing behind you. What was that?" An inner disciple asked.
Jian Feng interjected,
" That was an 'intent', Lu Ji. "
Lu Ji was one of the top 10 ranked inner disciples, placing at 6.
He was a long shaggy-haired male with a thick and tall build standing at 8ft, apart from being golden he looked like a titan in every sense of the word.
He was also selected since he wasn't currently on any given mission.
"Junior Jīn, this is Lu Ji from the western border. He's probably the only one nearly as gifted as you in Body Cultivation." He looked at Kosi and explained. " Lu Ji, is the descendant of a divine beast, The Divine Ox to be exact. So he'd be a Fei."
"Just call me big bro Lu! Aha, we're both out of the norm so we'll get along just fine. " He smiled cheerfully at Kosi, "We have to look out for each other! Now, tell me about this intent."
Jian Feng smiled, " An intent is normally what occurs after you reach Completion otherwise know as Grand Perfection in a fighting technique. " As he continued, "There are different types of intents formed based on the technique or weapon."
"So would Fist be Fist Intent?" Kosi asked.
"Yes, your Fist technique gave rise to the 'Fist Intent of the Moon Gazer' " Jian Feng explained.
"So if that's an Intent. What're compounded intents?" Lu Ji asked Jiang Feng as everyone listened closely.
"Compounded Intents are an Intent formed seamlessly from multiple Intents. Similar two twin sword Intents, would be made from 2 contrasting but not conflicting Intents." He looked at the other disciples. " Compounded Intents are harder to learn, but they're far stronger than regular Intents."
As he looked at Kosi, " Now that you've learned a Fist Intent, you should probably learn a kicking one, when combined they'll make a Martial Intent which would be vastly stronger."
It gave Kosi a lot to digest as he thought over the information he received from this senior brother of his.
"Stop!" Lu Ji shouted. Due to being a Fei he had higher senses and was keener than regular humans.
As he peered ahead into the darkness he shouted, " Come, I know you're there, I can smell the blood on you."
'huehuehuehuehuehue...'
"Who would have guessed they'd have a mixed breed of a beast and a human within their midst..."
The voice echoes around them as everyone raised their guard. Lu Ji took out a large black Warhammer as he readied himself.
Jian Feng's hair flowed into the air as he unsheathed his sword.
His sword intent billowed, his sword qi surged as the blade hummed.
The scene of wind blowing appeared behind him as a sparrow rested on a tree blowing in the wind, leaves falling as their whipped into a small cyclone.
Madlenkosi also made his stand as the air rippled behind him like throwing a stone into a lake. The Mountains rose as clouds swirled. The moon rising behind them, being the only source of light within this small forested area. As a haze circled him, he readied himself for the attack.
A tall, slender, beautiful woman, draped in red and white stepped out from behind a tree trunk as multiple Blood Buddha Disciples followed suit.
"Liàn Huā, what are you doing here.." Jian Feng said as the wind billowed out with him as the origin.
Liàn Huā stared at Madlenkosi as he smiled, "I just wanted to see who's the new disciple in Titan's Gate who's strong enough to kill my junior brother." As he redirected his gaze towards Jian Feng he flapped his fan twice before snapping it shut.
"Jian Feng let's exchange a few moves, if I win I'm taking that Junior." Liàn Huā said as he pointed at Madlenkosi.
Jian Feng grimaced as he looked around, though the Blood Buddha disciples were of lower strength they were many, though he didn't have to worry about his junior brother jīn or Lu Ji, he also had to think of the other disciples.
As his eyes glared at his opponent, "Fine. We'll decide with one move" He did through gritted teeth.
Many knew of Liàn Huā's strength and his vicious he was, if he didn't come out on top at least they could still fight it out.
Kosi looked towards Lu Ji who had a stern look on his face. "That's Liàn Huā, a disciple of the Blood Buddha Sect. A deranged killer that would go to any lengths to get his way. He probably didn't calculate you learning an Intent, or this could have gone very badly, very quickly. " He looked to Kosi, " Those with Intents are usually far stronger than their peers who don't."
The night was quiet, everyone's nerves were taut as they stared at Liàn Huā and Jian Feng. Neither moved as they aimed to find the other's weaknesses.
As Jian Feng harnessed the power of his 'Billowing Wind Sword Intent' his aura began to rise.
Liàn Huà smirked as he raised his fan, a red mist coagulating behind him.
The mist formed a black opened fan, with red cloud decals.
It gave off a sense of intense Slaughter as blood qi billowed from it like thick red clouds.
As he absorbed the clouds into the fan in his hand, it emanated an eerie red glow.
As they stared at each other as they both launched their attacks!
'Kill Indiscriminately!' Liàn Huā shouted as he waved his fan, red qi rushing out like a sea of blood as it swept everything in its way!
'Wind Flowers and Spring's Rain' Jian Feng whispered. His sword glowed as he cut his way through the sea of blood splitting it directly in half and away from the disciples behind him.
His charge was powerful, everything ending in the blink of an eye.
*SPURT *
Liàn Huā spat blood as he was forced to step backward once, his lips pursed as his eyes gazed intently at Jian Feng. "Hmph, it seems your intent has broken through to Greater Mastery. We shall see each other again soon enough." And with that, he and the Blood Buddha disciples left.
As Jian Feng coughed, a line of blood ran out the side of his mouth. "We need to get back to Titan's Gate asap," he collapsed soon after.
"It seemed he forced himself over a barrier of intent and suffered a backlash because of it." Lu Ji said. " His minor qi channels are all messed up."
As he placed Jian Feng on his back, they redoubled their efforts to get back to the Titan's Gate Sect...
