Chapter 30 - Bai LeiYu vs Su Xiaotian

...' Tribulation Returns To The Sky'...

Bai LeiYu's aura began to rise as her body flickered with a pale blue current. Her fighting aura multiplied as she readied herself, her white hair fluttering without wind.

As more of the pale blue LeiQi formed on the spear, it began to buzz and tremble. The air surrounding began to vibrate in resonance with her spear as her eyes flickered with electricity as LeiQi circulated across her body.

' The Plague God's Wrath!'

In a preemptive strike, Mao Su Fei leaped into the air as all the Miasma Qi in the area was centered around her and her spear. Green waves billowed off slowly from the spearhead.

Bai LeiYu looked up to her as she smiled, lightning and thunder crashing behind her as a Thunderstorm was soon formed from her Thunder Intent.

The LeiQi focused on her spearhead became more violent as they danced like lightning snakes trying to attack and devour everything in sight.

The LeiQi flooded the area near her as tiles were torn from the arena and the sounds of thunder filled the venue.

Everyone was in awe at this scenery that came into being.

Amidst her attack, Mao Su Fei's eyes began to fill with fear as she saw Bai LeiYu's Thunder Intent. It felt violent, powerful, domineering, and unrestrained. As she started at the attack falling towards her, she stabbed upwards as a giant golden shadow appeared behind her.

A Spearhead reached out from the Intent behind her as it tore through the air like a comet. Rising into the sky like a reversed thunderbolt, it collided with Mao Su Fei's attack.

The crowd was shocked as they sucked in a cold breath of air when they saw this.

This attack was absolutely horrifying!

Mao Su Fei's assault was demolished almost instantly as the two came into contact.

As her attack crumbled she screamed as she tried to resist but was sent flying as her aura began to crumble.

Mao Su Fei vomited blood as she was sent flying and was covered with wounds. She slammed headfirst into the arena floor as she twitched, covered in residual LeiQi.

"Bai LeiYu has won and taken the 45th position!" the judge said as he stepped in to announce the victor. "Will you be fighting again or will you take a rest?" he asked as Mai Su Fei was taken down from the arena.

"I'll fight, Su Xiaotian! Get up here and receive death!" She clamored.

The judge's eyebrows rose as he was a bit shocked, but then shook his head and smiled.

Upon retreating from the arena a short and stocky young man wielding a large dadao slowly walked step by step onto the stage.

He was Su Xiaotian, an outer sect disciple who focused on Body cultivation and Saber Arts. He was famed in the outer sect for his Saber Art, 'Soul Losing Saber'.

"Hmm, you sure are an arrogant one, don't blame me if you go down from here crippled." He said as he drew his blade from its sheath.

He rested the blade on his shoulder as he readied his fighting stance.

"Do you always talk so much?" She spat back.

As they stared at each other, Su Xiaotian made the first move as he dashed towards her like a snake moving across the tiled arena floor.

As he approached her, he leaped into the air as he performed his first move.

'Wherefore Art Thy Soul!' He gathered his Life Qi onto his blade which covered it in a gray ghostly tinge.

He raised his blade upwards as he chopped down, a large murky gray saber shadow chopped down towards the head of Bai LeiYu.

She was taken aback at how fast and ferocious he was as she dashed from beneath the blade. The blade and blade shadow slammed into the arena as it left a large smoldering gash on the arena floor.

As she wanted to raise her spear to attack, Su Xiaotian's attack wasn't finished as he charged to the side in her direction! 'Reviving Spirit!' He held his blade with both hands as his every move flowed seamlessly as he aimed to pressure his opponent.

Bai LeiYu could only haphazardly defend his attacks. Sparks flew as they danced across the stage. As his momentum grew, he pivoted with his blade in a reverse grip. 'Soul Departs In Nine Turns!' He spun like a top as made his way towards her, slicing and chopping as he went.

Bai LeiYu had felt unbelievably stifled as she had the power but was unable to use it. Being unable to get off one proper attack made her frustrated, and her concentration wavered even more.

Upon seeing her inattention, Su Xiaotian smiled as he pivoted and launched himself towards her. He yelled as his blade overlapped with multiple ghastly shadows which flowed with the blade, like after-images.

'Art Of A Thousand Spirits!'

As he slashed out, hundreds of slashes were overlapped as they blasted her into the air and out of the arena.

"Ah!" She screamed as she hit the floor on the outside. As she sat up, she sat there with a blank expression as she was unable to comprehend what had happened.

"You are truly foolish if you think I'll wait or give you time to unleash your intent. An initial mastery Intent seems to be only so much." he sneered as he chuckled at her.

"If you want a rematch, wait till the second round where it'll just be the rankers who fight, though the result will be the same, Hahahaha!" He swaggered down from the stage as he passed by her, her fists clenched, gripping the grass below her.

"Victor, Su Xiaotian!" The judge shouted as he asked for another challenger to come forth.

"Guess it's my turn then." Kosi stood and stretched as eyes glanced over, only to be met with an outstretched hand, "Young lord, I'd like to go first." BaiHua said as she bowed slightly.

"Eh? Okay fine, fine. Have fun." as he shooed her off.

BiHua took up her sword box as she walked downwards to the second stage, while the first was being repaired.

"Time to put the experience fighting the Young Lord to use." As she stood in the arena she glanced around, "You...come." as she pointed and curled her finger making the person in question fumed so much that his face went red.

"You Bitch! Do you think I'm easy?!" He leaped up to the arena as he drew his staff.

"No, it's just that I'm currently quite used to a staff user. But...I do think you'll be easy to beat now." She said with a smirk.
