Olivia's mind spiraled after hearing the stunning location of her family. She felt a surge of adrenaline.
" I'm sure the Captain had a good reason for…" Meredith said before being interrupted. Olivia stomped her foot, unleashing a mild shockwave of green magic, knocking her and Scott down.
" Good reason? What kind of logic would Moss have for keeping me away from my family?"
" Liv, you said it yourself." That book you opened was too dangerous to have around a witch in your family."
Olivia swatted Scott's hand away and gritted her teeth.
Jill floated to Olivia, hoping to comfort her.
" Olivia, I know you're overwhelmed about your family. But please, keep a cool head long enough to stop Priest and save the captain."
Olivia regained her composure." Yeah, sure thing Jill."
" Agent Ethol, how are you feeling?" Meredith asked.
" Good enough to get back in the fight."
" Good, we need all the help we can get. We'll appreciate your help."
" Sure, but there's something else I need to show you. It may be the reason Priest took the captain. Follow me."
Olivia and the others followed Sam down the flight of stairs until they reached the middle floor of the bureau.
The tiles on the floor had a blue outline of the bureau's badge.
" We've seen this before. "Scott complained.
" I know," Sam said. He reached into his back pocket.
Sam knelt and pulled out a small, silver crystal.
" Sam, what is that?" Olivia asked.
" A Faust gem," Meredith answered." Used to unlock any barrier concealed by large amounts of magic. I'm not surprised the captain's star troublemaker wouldn't know that."
" Play nice," Jill said." We got bigger fish to fry."
" Everyone step in," Sam ordered.
Olivia and her friends stepped into the symbol of the bureau and Sam ran to the middle.
" kufungua muhuri na kila hekalu," Sam chanted while pressing his stone to the crest."
The stone made the crest glow a bright blue. It teleported the agents to an ancient hidden shrine.
The interior was filled with demonic statues, spell books, and podiums.
" Unreal," Jill said. She floated around the shrine.
" What is this?" Olivia asked, turning to Sam.
" This is the Hall of Armageddon."
The other agents turned their heads, looked around the shrine.
" This place shouldn't exist," Meredith said." The Supreme Commissioner outlawed its existence after Parabola's great war."
" The war that ended with the ancients banning together against the age of Nihilo?" Jill asked.
" Mind filling us in on the history lesson you two?" Olivia asked.
" Yeah, I missed the class that involved this Nihilo thingy," Scott added.
" Nihilo is a prophesied omen of all the creations of man, witches, and all other forms of life-ending at the hands of the Deus Demons," Meredith explained.
" You mean like dying?" Olivia asked.
" Worse," Sam said. He dusted off the altar table.
" What could be worse than death?" Olivia asked.
" Not existing at all," Jill answered."
" You mean?"
" That's right," Sam answered." Total eradication of all existence."
" Why would Priest want that?" Olivia asked.
" We're not sure. But your family's magic plays a huge role in it."
" Then Cult should stay here until we find her family before Priest does," Meredith said.
" Not a chance," Olivia argued." Priest is after my family. There's no way I'm staying here."
" You sure that's a good idea, Liv?" Jill asked." Last time, it didn't end well for you."
" That's why Max gave us these new toys."
Olivia summoned her Virgin Mary to her side, grasping the enchanted weapon.
"Is that Valkyrie weaponry?" Meredith asked, scowling." Those types of weapons are strict…"
"Prohibited?" Olivia mocked her. "Listen, desk jockey; we need every edge to stop Priest before he gets his mitts on the spellbook."
" She does have a point," Sam shrugged.
Meredith dropped her head into her palm, outnumbered with little time to debate.
" Fine, but you better know what you're doing, slacker" Meredith called to Olivia.
"Relax, Triclops. We got this handled."
" Don't you dare call me Triclops."
" Save the catfight for later," Scott chimed in.
Let us get going," Jill added." Sam?"
" On it."
Sam pulled out the crystal and pointed it to the ground.
" Mimi mwenyewe yanayofundishwa katika askari."
The five agents all became consumed by shimmering blue light, teleporting them out of the shrine to begin their mission to save their captain as well as existence itself.
The teenage detectives returned to the Sanctum Aurora.
" We still need to get everyone else up and running," Sam said. "In case you fail, Priest may try to attack headquarters again we must prepare if that happens."
" Good point," Jill said." How much phoenix blood do you have left to heal everyone else?"
"Unfortunately, that was the last vial," Meredith said." Besides, unless you are a spellcaster, that potion will not help. If anything could kill you."
" Yeah. Why is that again?" Scott asked, scratching his head.
" Phoenix blood is created from pure manna, the substance of basic magic. Only spellcasters are physically and mentally adaptable to absorbing manna in its purest form."
" I'm going to nod my head and pretend I understood that."
" You think you're strong enough to heal everyone on your own," Olivia said." I'm not skilled in healing spells."
" Lucky for you, I have spent years studying and healing spells," Sam said." However, it would take me long to heal everyone here without draining my energy,"
" Sweet," Scott said." While you play nurse, we can go outside and hunt for Priest,"
" Don't underestimate Priest." Meredith folded her arms and glared at them. "There's little information about him in our archives. But he knew enough about us to break in and capture the captain."
" Relax, Lust," Olivia said with a smirk on her face." All we have to do is find Priest, stop him from getting the book, and rescue Captain Moss."
" Leave it to Olivia Cult to make something daunting sound simple," Jill said.
"You know it's what I do best."
"If you two are done wasting time, you should focus on getting to Buffalo New York before all hell breaks," Meredith said.
" Hate to say it, but Lust is right," Olivia said." Let us get moving,"
" You got it, Scott said. He placed the knuckles on his hands.
Scott summoned a portal to journey to target their destination.
" Our badges will work while we're in the human world," Olivia said." If anything goes wrong, page us."
" Likewise," Meredith said.
Olivia, Jill, and Scott jumped into the portal. As the portal and close themselves. Sam and Meredith each harbored a deep sense of fear.
" You think they stand a chance out there?" Sam asked.
" Those two slackers and a ghost?" Meredith said. "I'd be lying if I said I had complete faith in them. But they are the best we have. I'll stay here and research what could help us stop Priest."
" Don't forget this," Sam said as he handed her the dagger.
" Right, Meredith said." Rest while you can because we need our people healed."
The two agents went their separate ways, preparing for the most dangerous fight anyone within the organization has ever experienced.
