Silver quickly rose from his slumber, his heading pounding away at him to close his eyes once again, pain pulsed through his entire being as he groaned to life. What happened? Just what caused this? Why was he staring at the abyss of a crater from above through the window?
He stumbled out of his seat, his right arm ceasing to function as his shoulder looked warped and limp, using what strength his dizzied stature could muster,he hauled himself out and into the open space of the craft, observing the battered interior, he noticed the two others unconscious in their seats, luckily with no injuries that would hinder them. bruises and reddened faces from the suspension of being pressed against their safety belts.
"What happened?…"
Mumbling to nobody he haphazardly unfastened the taller woman and dragged her outside the craft, only a few feet away propped against a rock to sit her up a bit, once going back to grab the smaller one out he sat down by the craft panting for breath.
"Just five minutes rest…"
He whispered as he fell into the slumber of darkness with only the distant blipping of the ship and gentle breeze caressing his ears.
His eyes shot up with an audible gasp escaping his lips, the rays peaking from the cracks of the mountain tops on the horizon, his ears sparkled to life as crackling and snapping accompanied a low humble roar echoed throughout the quiet air. The aches and pains bellowed and pulsed throughout his entire entity, turning his head slightly he noticed the flames and two figures sitting idle by, contemplating the events. Sacha, the dark haired was the first to spot the male's stirring into the consciousness.
"Ma'am he's awake!"
"Oh thank the stars! How are you feeling? You're in a horrible state…"
Horrible state…horrible? Was he really in that bad of a shape? He clumsily opened his call-card, a bit broken but functional, he scanned himself as a voice proceeded to list the injuries.
'Concussion - major
Dislocation - Right shoulder and wrist
Broken bones - 4 ribs
Lacerations - 76 locations found'
"Wow the list is pretty ba-"
'Fractured - left leg and 3 toes
Bruised - 42 locations found
Internal bleeding - 15 locations found'
"Seems like it can't get any wor-"
Sense of humour - gone
"Okay nice joke…how was I able to even move?…"
Sacha began immediately attending his wounds, occasionally hopping into the broken craft to find medical supplies and blankets to protect from the brisk climate, the two had thought about bringing Silver into the craft for better protection, but they were unable to lift him due to the amount of pain and damage it might do to him.upon noticing this Silver stood up, albeit shaky but proceeded to stumble into the craft and onto a bed, his injuries definitely seemed worse than he initially thought, he wouldn't be able to move much at if he let the adrenaline wear off completely.
"Silver please rest, though it's cold the craft should have some power left to keep us heated."
"Any luck with a Beacon pulse?"
Avalencia shook her head as she sat opposite the man, he and sacha began taking his top off his overalls in order to wrap and bandage up his wounds, Avalencia and Sacha red in the face as his muscles flexed and stretched evenly as he moved to help. He wasn't like his burly friend on the station, but he wasn't a typical build you find in those Japanese or Korean comics, his build was muscular, yet they seemed supple and warm to stare at, and to touch once he relaxed as Sacha soon found out.
"No luck, though this view makes up for it…"
Avalencia blurted before the man tilted his head softly, almost like a golden retriever in confusion. Everything became a bit of a blur for him after that, he went to lie down, the girls went out to make a small fire to keep warm inside. Discussing about the plan from then on,
From the tiny pieces of 'real reason' and 'our plan'.
Once they came back they took a few things and began unpacking, after that, Silver completely blanked, the adrenaline wore off and all he could sense was distant echoes, his memories faded into a single streak as all he could recall was dipping in and out of death's door, beeping and murmuring as soon. It stopped.
Black. Darkness, the abyss, his eyes embraced the deep. His stature drifted into the boundless void, lifeless, inert to the will of its user. His brain was scrambled, while his heartbeat was as clear as day.his breath seemed to reverberate throughout the enigmatic plane. His senses stretching beyond the event horizon, however, as soon as his eyes opened to take in the despondent nothingness that enveloped his being. A sudden rush of fear and dread ensnared the male as eyes sneered deep into his soul.
Awakening to a loud gasp and dimly lit roof. He shot up from the bed in the craft. His body was still sore but at least he could move. His eyes scanned the interior of the forgotten craft, moss and small vines wrap and hug almost everything. How in the hell did nature work so fast? He had no answers that could be conclusive, attempting to stand was a mistake, doing so left him rolling over and landing face first onto the floor, good job…even still, his willpower overwhelmed his body as he balanced on his feet like a block of jelly, stumbling up to a standing position, he waddled over breathless to the exit, the door, closed and mossy as well, sighing he knew he had to force it open. And thus, after 10 minutes of endless tackling, it broke away from the vines and opened with a loud screech that pierced the man's skull, his shoulder was sore and tender but his smile beamed as he absorbed as much fresh air as his lungs could take, letting the air circulate around his blood before exhaling, before he looked up that is.
"Why is there a tree growing around the lander?!"
His question was never answered, but the rocky landscape that surrounded him before was replaced by a beautiful forest of unprecedented scale, that crevasse that the leaning craft was teetering on was now home to a gigantic waterfall, roaring thunderously in the ambiance, his awe kept overwhelming as wildlife scattered throughout his field of view, from rather tame and normal animals to creatures completely unknown. As if on queue, in typical anime fashion, a large winged beast soared between the ravine and up into the clouded blanket suspended on high.
"Great, must be a dream or something because this planet surely didn't have dragons around before I passed out. Neither did any life around was around here…"
He went to step inside his craft again before feeling defeated, his body still pulsed in pain, his thoughts were a mess, the ship was planted, he had barely anything, and yet he wanted to use the craft as much as possible, after all the bed would surely be more comfortable than a makeshift one…when it was cleaned. For now his only goal was sitting down and thinking on what to do and that he did, sitting in the pilot's seat he thought and examined his options, he had one mineral testing kit, with only a few uses, a few days ration and only an emergency knife in case of self defence, everything else was missing…the portable shelters, the other 3 months worth of food and water, the weapons, the other kits for their excursion, even the damn miniature stove. The fact that everything could be placed on top of the dashboard was depressing to the man. To the point where he slouched back into the dry padding, exhaled heavily before leaning his now teary eyes upon the white ceiling. Stumbling over his emotions over and over, his collectedness shattered as reality dawned on him evermore.
Alone, barely anything to work with, unable to know where, or when, or even how of anything so far, his mind rattled over and over trying to squeeze out a reason, a solution, Silver broke down, slamming his head onto the dashboard causing everything to jump slightly as his tears streamed down from his eyes. His life wasn't all that good to begin with, and now it's even worse.he was just a scout in a space exposition colony, just a goon really, the thing he had going was the amount of missions he returned from, it was easily double the amount of the second best, but the more he thought about it, the more he realised that was to hide himself, but now, there was nobody to hide from, and so he wept profusely, unable to hold back from the pain and suffering that had built up over his years, losing it all over again he shot his head up in frustration.
"Dammit!!"
His screamed bellowed, but he cut short, the craft was now old and decrepit sure, but it never echoed, he knew all to well, he began to slowly tap the ceiling, listening attentively as his ears tuned in to dark 'tink' of the craft, until he shuffled over to the emergency top hatch, there it is. The echo, the hollow interior of what must be the tree.
Frightened, he shakily undid the latch on the panel, and creaking open, he found…a hollow inside. Dark, but hollow, and if this tree…if the tree was growing still…it means it's bark would be tough, usable…
"Eureka?!"
He blurted into the pillar of emptiness, if he was to make it out of this, alive, he would need somewhere to stay, a place to call home, and this was it, he could use it like a docking port so to speak, if ever he had to return, he would have two locks to seal himself, and if he could displace the ship, he could very well be invisible to the unknowing creature…
This was it. His golden thread, his light at the end of the tunnel, his goal, was to kit out this tree to be liveable and self sufficient…somehow…however as he finally figured it out, his eyes grew tired once more, and thus after closing the door to the outside world, and the hatch to the new inside world, he laid on his bed, accepting of the drowsiness that soaked him, and as his breath grew softer, his body slacked, and darkness ensued. Sleep embraced his weary soul as the man rested for another day.
