Valeria Campbell
"And then he kissed me," Lucy says with excitement as I widen my eyes.
"NO FUCKING WAY." I gasp and slap my hand of my mouth. "That's so romantic, I'm so happy for you." I continue.
"Thank you." She says with a warm smile. "So, how have things been with your Knight in shining armor?" She changes the subject raising her brows in giving me a curious look.
"We haven't talked much, he still drives me home, we just can't see each other as much as we want to. But things have been great. I like him." I blush thinking about him.
"I'm sure he's just been busy."
"Yeah probably," I say unsure.
At least I hope he is...

"That's so cool dude, now we can go on double dates," I say as Roger has an annoyed look on his face.
"I already regret telling you." He answers.
"Why?" I furrow my brows.
"Well, because when we go on double dates, you and Val are going to be all flirty, and kissing each other, while I will have no idea what to do with Lucy. What if she doesn't like that. We aren't officially dating yet." He explains. I understand, I felt the same way after I kissed Valeria at the fair, and didn't know what our relationship was.
"Don't worry, I'm sure she feels the same way, now stop being so stressed about it and enjoy the pizza."
He sits down, grabs a piece of pepperoni pizza, and starts eating it.
"How are things with my sister-in-law by the way?" It annoys me when he calls Valeria that, but he won't stop, so I just roll with it.
"Things have been normal, just haven't talked or seen each other as much."
"What the hell are you doing here then? Go take her out. She probably thinks you're bored of her or something." He raises his voice slightly saying that.
"Why would she think that Cupid?" He's starting to get on my nerves.
"Well because all girls gave trust issues, and if you don't show her that you still want her, she'll feel left out, and start making false assumptions. They need affection and proof that you still want them" He explains making a point.
"When did you get so wise? But you're right, I'll talk to her tomorrow, it's getting late." I look at the clock and see it's 9 pm.
"And you're eating pizza that late. Get your ass up and go to her house coward."
"How the hell am I supposed to go to her house right now Einstein?" If he wants to act like a smartass, might as well give me some good ideas.
"I don't know, figure it out. Now get up before I shove the entire pizza down your throat." Why does he care so much? He probably wants to eat the pizza by himself.
But he kind of tempted me to go. He was making a good point, and I missed her.
Time to act like Romeo.
"Fine, I'm going." He has a smile on his face but tries to hide it so that he doesn't think he won.
*one hour later*
Here I was standing in front of Valeria's house with no idea what to do. I see a single room with the lights on, it must be hers. I need to get there and I surely won't knock. I go to the backyard trying to find something that could help and I find a ladder.
Today is my lucky day.
Thankfully, the house isn't too big so I can reach her window if I climb this.
I pick it up and start walking discretely without making a noise. I place the ladder in a position below her window, then I make sure it's stable and begin climbing it.
Step after another, I finally reached her window. She was laying in her bed under the sheets, book in her hand. She looked so beautiful.
I knock on the window and she instantly jumps up from her bed frightened.
Once she makes eye contact with me, she had a relieved and confused look on her face. She gets up and starts walking towards the window to open it.
"What the hell are you doing here?" She whispers shouts making sure no one but me can hear her.
"I'm here to take you out mademoiselle." I bow down slightly.
"Couldn't you wait until tomorrow?" She has the same tone in her voice, which I found adorable.
"Nope. Now put some shoes on and climb down before anyone hears us." I say excitedly.
"What? No. Of course not. It's late." She debates.
"I don't care, I'm waiting for you down there. Meet me in a minute." There is no way in hell I was changing my mind. Ever.
"But-"
She tries to argue but I interrupt her. "I'm not taking no for an answer."
She nods annoyingly and goes to her closet to get some shoes.
I climb down and wait for her patients to come.
After a minute, I see her looking down at where I was standing.
"Come on." I mouth to her, not saying a word out loud.
She put her leg on the top step and starts climbing down slowly to not fall over.
There she was, standing in front of me with a pair of grey sweatpants and a black oversized sweater with some white converse. She even put on a ring with a purple crystal on it for some reason.
"Where are we going?" She whispers.
I didn't think about that. Not good at planning things last minute.
"I don't know." I scratch the back of my head embarrassed to admit I snuck to her house to take her out without knowing where I was taking her.
She thinks for a moment then suddenly smiles and looks at me.
"Can I drive your car?" Her lips curl into a smirk.
What was her plan?
"Sure," I say confused.
We walk to the car, and she seats herself in the driver's seat, while I was in the passenger one. Look at how the tables turn.
I give her my car keys and she turns the ignition, stepping on the gas so the car would start moving.
She starts to drive us somewhere I didn't know.
"Where are you taking me?" I ask.
"It's a surprise." She answers still looking on the road.
Buckle up. It's surely going to be a long ride.
