It was my last examination in High School. It had been a long and hectic week of exams for me.
I could vividly remember when we started the session, it looked as though it wouldn't come to an end but, here are my about to take my last examination in St. Gregory High School.
The atmosphere in my class was warm and peaceful. I could see the high expectations on the faces of my class mates.
We are waiting patiently for the exam. St. Gregory High School was one of the best Schools in England.
It was quite different from others as the tranquility of the environment was so compellingble such that even if it was your first time in School, you wouldn't want to leave any more.
The teachers are the best and friendly persons I've ever met in my life. Mr. Craig, my class teacher took care of me like his Son when I was sick.
He was always visiting my home daily to check on me. Oh!! What a lovely man.
This was a dream come true. It was four years ago when Dad and I were watching the television precisely "ICarly Show", we saw an Advertisement about St. Gregory High School.
Immediately, my attention was captured, I can't really say why but I'm quite sure it was because it was the type of School I had wanted.
I gave Dad a broad smile. Dad was surprised. "Roy, why are you smiling"?...He said, anticipating a response.
I said to him, Dad, this is the School I would love to attend.
Dad hugged me, your desires have been granted.
You can't imagine how happy I was when I heard that. I jumped on my Dad and kissed him.
Dad's love for me was so genuine that he granted everything I asked from him. Since the death of my late mum, Dad's love for me was intentional.
Also, I guess he saw me as a special child which made him give more attention to me.
I gazed at my watch inquisitively, it was 9 am already. I could see my class teacher with our examination scripts.
Everyone was overjoyed, we took our scripts and began writing. The exam lasted for 1hour 30 minutes, it was very easy and straightforward.
As soon as we finished the exams, we quickly took a group photo. I knew I wasn't going to meet with my classmates again.
The atmosphere was already getting emotional. I tried controlling my tears but I couldn't hold them for long. I didn't know when I began weeping profusely.
I was going to miss my teachers and friends. It was a hard one for all of us but we knew it was for the better.
Afterward, I rushed for my bag and hurried home to break the news to my Dad.
Dad heard the news and was so happy that he took me out to the best recreational park in town.
A month later, the results were out and I came out with flying colors. It wasn't surprising for me because I knew I was going to do extremely well in the exams.
Dad promised me that if I do well, he will buy Playstation 5 for me. Well, I have longed and prayed for it.
I loved games especially horror adventure games. My best game was " Monster Lords" I could play it for hours without realizing I had spent much time on it.
Dad kept to his words and bought the game for me. It was the best holiday I have experienced in my life time.
Holiday was almost over when my Dad called me into his room and asked the type of College I would love to attend
For me, I wanted attending a School which was in the similitude of St. Gregory High School. I just wanted a peaceful school where teachers will be interested in us doing well and intentional in our growth.
That was the reason I loved St. Gregory High School.
I have heard so many interesting things about the college such that all my hopes were elevated.
I told Dad my choicest School which he assured me he will look around for it.
I didn't like College Schools in my town. They were quite expensive and the lecturers were very strict.
One Saturday Morning, as early as 6 am, My Uncle Sam gave us a surprising visit.
It's been over 10 years we set our eyes on him. He came from a distant town called Michan.
I loved my Uncle so much, he was the one who taught me how to play MONSTER LORD.
We could play the game for hours whenever we are together.
Uncle Sam was a mysterious man. He was a master of ancient secrets and mysteries.
When I was a little younger, he told me how that he travelled past the seven most deadly rivers and seven most dangerous forests in the world to get the "pride of life"
which was a diamond ring with three heads (one was a snake head, the second was a bull head and the final one was a lion) encircled around it.
In one of his adventures, he encountered Lady Dragano "The Red Fiery Dragon.
According to him, the Dragon was 12 feet tall with a total of 52 sharp saw-like teeth. This time, his mission was to save a young girl who was a prisoner in the palace of the great King Midas.
He almost lost his life during this mission but he remembered the "7 seals of tukura" which was a mystery to chant to transmute him into a beast.
He killed the Dragon mercilessly and rescued the young girl who later became the Queen of that city.
I loved listening to most of his adventure stories even though I found it hard to believe some of them,
I still enjoyed them.
My Uncle was so special to me. I felt so confident once again seeing him come around.
