Chapter 7 - CHAPTER 7 LOAN SHARK IN THE PICTURE

Teddy sometimes checked out on them and winked, they did the same too. Anaisha was winking at Yazaan and pointing him with her middle finger which says "you have a lot to tell me"😂 but he never paid attention.

They never did or talk about something serious except arguing about psychological facts. 

E1500.00 was ewalleted to Yazaan, his ID got swallowed, he was left with his passport. He sent the other 500's to the other two to settle the score.

He had the one clip but he didn't want to use it. He thought it would be better getting it from his parents. 

He made up the story of having a get-together with his friends, so he lied and said they'll be having pizza, and drinks, so he got it, just like that, Anaisha had to empty her bank account to get it. They were doing it tomorrow, they were so excited more than anything else. 

Anaisha was kind of nervous, her heart was stepping stones of courage deep down but at the end of the day, she wanted to do it, Teddy wanted to do it, Nicole wanted to do it, they all wanted a tattoo, piercings were going to follow some other time.

They all had an adrenaline rush, it was a few hours left before they got stoned. 

It was 10:00 am, when Yazaan and Anaisha were all dressed up, they didn't even bother saying their goodbyes, they were avoiding endless questions and curfew reminders which was the last thing they needed. 😂

Yazaan had car keys, which is something that shocked Anaisha. The Hyundai i20.

"Yazan!  When did you have a few pulls this morning "? She asked. 

"I know where this is going and it's the last thing I need right now, especially from you. Our folks are sleeping, probably nourishing each other this 'royal danish ice cream' which mom got yesterday, being all romantic. Fasten your seatbelt because I don't wanna be a jail bird. 

The house was so big that the garage wasn't even by their parent's house, the car's engine was quiet too, not loud. So they managed to drive through the gate and that's when the mirthful began. 😂

He played the "one way or another" song by One Direction. He loved one direction music, he was feeling it such that Anaisha started moving too since it was really a joyful song.

Their route was so easy because they just picked up Nicole, then they went over to Teddy's house, but he didn't show up the car so easily, he avoided her parents seeing it. 

"Sis! May you sit behind please, so Teddy can sit here?  Please sis " he begged her. 

"No!  No!  Yazaan, you my brother, I haven't had a joyful moment with you in a long time. We just stole a car, our first time, let us make it memorable" she said. 

"Wow! I didn't know you loved me so much, okay cool!  Let's hit the road"!  He said whilst he turned up the volume, fortunately everyone was feeling it that they asked for a repeat, such that they ended up the one direction songs and a few for Westlife. 

They were around the mountain inn when the car just stopped, when Yazaan checked the gauge , he discovered there was no petrol, dammit! "No petrol!  We even broke!  Fuck!  What do we do now"?  He asked. 

"Okay! Ah Hmm let's not panic much!  Let me call this guy to ask for help" Teddy said. 

"No! No! What kind of a guy drives girls without being sure everything's okay? , I'll look irresponsible!  I dont even have a fucking license!  What wack ass shit is that?  In such a dick"! 

They got stuck inside without any plan, up until Nicole searched her bag that she emptied everything, she got E50.00,that's when the rest started emptying themselves, and it was E40.00 from Teddy, E30.00 from Anaisha.

It was E120.00 in total. Now someone had to go down the road to get petrol, all eyes went to Yazaan till he realized and his sister just laughed because she knew that was never going to happen. 

"You must be kidding right?  Me? As I am? Can you take a look just for a second and see if I'll do that or not. I cannot Walk all this distance for petrol?  I stole this car for your own comfort zone, I took a risk for you guys!  Why don't you figure that out? If my parents would see me?  Then what ?  Shake your heads or minds I don't care just think! I'm the one who figured out how to get the money, I'm the one who had brains on the ride, which is a risk!  I'm the one who's supposed to go find petrol, come back, fill it, and drive you there and back?

Hahaha😂😂 stop dreaming!  For my woman or my folks I would, I'm sorry guys. The only thing we need is getting a taxi to get us petrol there at Galp Filling Station, and pay them, then we are done"! 

He said whilst taking his phone from the car, moved away from them to make a call. 

He stood outside the car, busy with his phone, then everyone was afraid to ask what's next, even Isha, after 15 minutes a car just came and parked behind theirs, with a 5 litre of petrol.

They shook hands and they filled it up. Then he left. Yazaan got inside the car, wore his glasses and hit the road just like that, no word no nothing, till they got to the Palace. 

They got there and fortunately there was no line yet... So they had to jump in, funny things they argued on who was supposed to start and it was so funny because they've been yearning for it.😂

Nicole broke the line and went to lie in the there, she chose doing it on her right thigh, and she chose butterflies, Teddy followed, Yazaan was next, Anaisha was the last 😀, and finally they were done. 

They couldn't wait to take pics and post them on IG, Twitter, they also took groupie pics, they were so excited that they even went live on Gram talking about how they almost didn't make it, but because of Yazaan they did. 

Tattoos are usually  most severe during the first few minutes, after which your body should begin to adjust. ... Some people describe the pain as a pricking sensation. Others say it feels like bee stings or being scratched.

Nicole couldn't walk properly, her walk was funny, it was more like she fell and bent her knee, but she really did her best shame😂, they were all not so okay but they had to be strong. 

Unfortunately for Yazaan and Anaisha, they got caught that they stole a car. How did their parents find out?😉. Well... This is it... Their dad had got 2 guys to wash the cars as always on weekends, but this two stupid fools forgot about it😂, that's how they discovered the car was gone.

They never suspected anyone other than them, waiting till they got bombed at the dining room table whilst licking their hands out of excitement😂. 

"Mhhh! So how was your day kids"?

Mr Patel asked whilst he wiped his mouth, he asked with a smile on his face, he secretly kicked his wife with his foot to alert her to watch the two and she did. 

The two stared at each other first before they answered but Anaisha answered. 

"Ahhm!  It was okay dad, it was great actually, we had fun, i believe you and mom had a good time too" she said. 

"Ahh!  Yes we did! Ahh! Yazaan may you please bring me a glass of cold water from the fridge", he did. 

Discipline isn't about punishment. It's about guiding children towards appropriate ways to behave.

For teenagers, discipline is about agreeing on and setting appropriate limits and helping them behave within those limits.

When your child feels that you listen to her and she can contribute, she'll be more likely to see you as fair and stick to the agreed rules.Being clear about the behaviour you expect can help to check that your child has understood your expectations.

For example, a rule like 'Please come home after the movie' might mean one thing to you, but something different to your child. 

But you can say it more precisely – for example, 'Come straight home after the movie ends and don't go anywhere else'.Discuss responsibilities with your child.

For example, 'I'm responsible for providing for you. You have responsibilities too, like tidying your room' and that's it!  

Yazaan brought the glass of water, and sat down. Their parents still didn't know how to ask and punish them severely!  Yes! Severely because what if they got an accident and they got hurt or even died? Exactly my point! 

Anaisha was kind of nervous that what if they know something, but she decided to stay cool and not say anything. 

"Isha!  My daughter, my one and only daughter on this planet Earth... Unlock your phone, right now" she looked at her straight in her eyes. She didn't understand what was going on and she was confused why that was but she did since all eyes were on her. 

"Call anyone between Nicole and Teddy... Or make a group call". She said. 

"Ahhmm ma!  I don't have airtime" Isha responded. 

"Ahh it's okay my sweetness!  It's okay I have airtime here, there's my phone ", she gave her. 

"Ahmm am!  I credited so much airtime so don't waste it please " she requested.

"Don't worry my sweetheart!  How much do you credit? E50.00? She nodded, and she directly sent it with E10.00 more. 

"Now!  Call! 

She commanded her daughter. She dialed Teddy's number, as it was, Yazaan stood up, asking to be excused and his dad just held his hand and pushed it down telling him that he's not going anywhere. 😂

She picked up and said 'hello' that's when she added Nicole in that group. 

"Ahmm... How 're you guys, I actually thought a group call would be nice"! She hysterically said. 

"Ohh yea it always is... Wait! Are you okay? Sounds like you down or something yet we just all got...".

Teddy never even completed that sentence because Anaisha perturbed with her kickback  in a way of cutting her off. 

"No! I mean yes! Ahhm I'm okay, I'm actually a great guy.  I'm just sleepy, but I couldn't go to bed without a rain check " she said nervously. 

Yazaan took out his phone from his pocket, wanting to call Teddy to tell her not to involve the car story and the tattoo business but his dad saw him and demanded for his phone. 

""I don't have all night Anaisha! Don't test me, I want the fucking truth right now"!  Her mom got furious that she even hit the fucking damn table.

Anaisha tried to be comfortable with the whole situation and really tried her very best you know, with all the 6 eyes that were eyeballing her, she really managed. 

"Ahhm! What nice day-ride we had today, with the sun  out, breeze, blue sky, greens everywhere, I really enjoyed but next time we should go to Nkonyeni Golf Estate, i've heard it's really amazing guys, probably better than Happy valley" she said nervously whilst waiting for their responses. 

"Ahhm Isha what are you.. " Teddy never finished up but Nicole saved the day by intruding within their talk. 

"Ohhh wow!  Wow! Wow!  Isha!  we should check it out, Happy Valley is now boring, by the way just a reminder, I'll be the transport organizer this time around and you guys had better go to a fucking driving school so we can never taste the term 'struggling' ever! 😂😂😂they all laughed.

Their parents were still there, Isha made means to end the conversation right there and there and she did. 

"Mhh! So you are thieves! You fucking sandbagging bitches! You stole our car just for a fucking fucking get together or a day drive! For goodness sake Yazaan you were there, with girls! Are you dating one of her friend's or what? Answer me"! 

She screamed with anger, their dad was just quitting staring at them as if he was going rk kill them right then right there! Oh my God his eyes were just red, he was disappointed at them, he never ever expected such behavior from them. 

"Ma! It was just a day-ride, and my fucking goodness I am not dating any of her friends, I'm not dating anyone at all, not now not ever"!

Yazaan was angry at his parents that he couldn't wait to leave that room, hey! It was starting to fire up and it was heating as badly as hell! 

"Ow! So what was your role then? They are girls what the hell were you doing"? She asked waiting for an immediate answer. 

"Ma! Just wake up! Wake up for fucking goodness sake! It's obvious, I was driving them around! Jesus''! 

"Hey! You spoilt brat! Don't you raise your voice on me ever! Never ever use the 'shits and fucks' in our conversation am I clear? Am I clear or not"? His mom asked. 

"Sure"! He never even cared, he couldn't wait to leave. 

"You"! She screamed at Isha....

"Since when are you a thief? Huh? For what? For a fucking road trip? What were you thinking? He doesn't even have a fucking license! Dammit! You are making me insane! What if you had gotten an accident? What if"? 

"I'll be cutting your pocket money by 50%"! She stood up preparing to leave. 

"What! No you can't do that! No never! Dad you can't just be quiet throughout this whole conversation! It's time you step in dad"!  Yazaan was also on his feet even. 

"I'm disappointed in the both of you" he said that and just left them. 

"Well! There are options since I'm good hearted which is what Allah wants! So yeah"! 

"Okay... What are those? Isha asked.

"You shut your mouth when you talk to me! Shut up! 

Okay, I cut 50% from your allowances, second option is that I take your phones for the whole month, or I cut you guys from seeing your friends, being grounded I mean, I drop you off from school and I pick you up on time! 😂😂 how nice! She frowned again! Your choice". 

"Mama! That's so cruel, how could you? Those are our basics of living! Jesus! Yoh! I wish I could change mom's" he said. 

"I'm waiting, I have to go to sleep. It's really been a very long day"!

She said whilst folding her arms, then she changed her mind. 

Okay! I'll give you guys tonight to think about it okay! Because it all starts tomorrow morning! Good night"! She left right there. 

They both wheezed the minute she left as if they had orally planned it. They stared at each for a moment without a word but every man was a man of himself. 

"Fuck! I need a smoke"! Anaisha said whilst taking her phone with her. 

"After you sis"! 

They both went to their balcony and sat there for a while before smoking because they had to make sure that their parents were already sleeping. 

"Bro! What do we do now"? Anaisha asked curiously. 

"Well sis! I don't know really, I don't! I'm just glad we escaped this hell, giving away my phone, not seeing my friends is gonna tear me apart! I mean they are my life! I breathe them"! He said. 

"Well.... You are my everything, I breathe you, you are my air, my breath and my life, a best friend, but I also cannot bear  not seeing my friends" she said. 

"It's been a while sis,  get the ashtray and the cigars, so we can start burning our issues away and I feel like I wanna stay up all night, mom just got rid of my sleep😂😂, they both laughed. 

Their bedrooms were almost together, that's how it makes sense that they share a balcony in a way that if both of their doors were locked, nobody could have access  to their balcony, their parents had one too since the house was huge, so nobody could see the ashtray and even know they smoked. Good thing was that they never smoked everyday, just once in a while. 

They had like 3 cigars of the Dunhill blue, actually that was each, of which it was sanctioned by Yazaan, they then jumped to the mint chesterfield which was endorsed by Anaisha, 😂if only their parents knew they  were raising wild little devils with wings. 😂

Usually, or i can at most times, parents, guardians or whatsoever, I might as well say 'elders' they grow and teach their kids what's right, and it pains them so much when they stray away from that, what's crucial is that they aren't supposed to stop preaching what's right, at the end of the day, they'll be knowing the truth no matter what the circumstances are. 

Driving fast, breaking curfew, arguing, shoplifting. Teenagers can push your patience, but unfortunately, some kids go as far as blatantly flouting rules or breaking the law, often with tragic results. What's with this rebellious streak? 

Well, personally I've gathered my thoughts, observations and through experience I can say that All teens go through similar phases: the need for independence, a separate identity, testing authority.

It's part of growing up; it's also linked to developmental changes in the brain that will eventually help them become analytical adults.

But today's teens get an extra whammy -- social pressures come earlier than in previous generations.

To understand this complex picture, WebMD turned to two of the nation's experts.

David Elkind, PhD, is the author of All Grown Up and No Place to Go, and is a professor of child development at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston.

Amy Bobrow, PhD, is a clinical psychologist and professor in the Child Study Center at New York University School of Medicine in Manhattan.

As a child evolves into a teenager, the brain becomes able to synthesize information into ideas. Teens want to exercise their new skill -- and they tend to practice on their parents.It may seem that they argue for the sake of arguing.

But really, they're practicing their new abilities. Whereas wild clothes and make-up used to be a rite of passage into adolescence, that's not true today.

The preadolescent 11- and 12-year-olds -- the Britney Spears generation -- are pushing that fashion envelope. 😂

First love, first sex, first drugs, first drinking. In earlier generations, kids weren't expected to be sexually active -- or experiment with alcohol or drugs -- until they turned 17 or 18, when they were better able to resist peer pressure.

Now they're getting pressure at 13 and 14, when they're too young to resist. It's not that child development has changed, it's that the demands are coming at earlier ages.

Yet it is a myth that all teenagers are big risk-takers, says Bobrow at New York University.

Over half of teenagers will experiment with alcohol, which means nearly half will not.Roughly 40% of teenagers will try drugs at least once, which means 60% will not.

Even fewer teens regularly use illegal substances -- less than 25% of those who try them -- which means the majority do not.

You know what's funny? I just spoke like a 40 year old😂😂😂, dude! I'm only 23 years old and fuck it! I feel like it's a lot to me because I feel younger than that and I know I'm not the only, I know I'm not because it's impossible, I feel like I'm 21,probably because I haven't attended those "wild" classes but don't you worry, I'm actually getting there and it's gonna seem forever.😂

Honestly speaking guys, Parents are concerned that kids who try drugs use them on a regular basis, but that isn't always the case, it's not! Some parents must take a chill pill guys, yoh!

When you ask to do a sleepover at a friends house they get certain that "No its a guy " then they keep on persisting with endless  phone calls, anyways if you know you know but i've stated my point haven't I? 🤗

The fact that all teenagers aren't as wild as some people imagine doesn't necessarily help create peace in your home.

Even the most balanced teenagers are arguing and challenging their parents, sometimes on a daily basis. Parents should just make this thing easy, for them to be our friends hey. 

Offering a drive can help them learn a lot about you, use them,  from a concert or a dance.Watch TV or a video together. 

Bodrow once said.......

"I think a lot of parents don't feel comfortable bringing up some issues.  "TV or a movie can provide great jumping-off material -- a good opening for parents to open up a subject they need to discuss."

"The bottom line is communication -- and not just at times of disapproval, discipline," says Bodrow. "Make sure you communicate with your child when you're proud, when he did a good job.

It's important to balance that out. Otherwise, it becomes 'why are you always nagging me, always on my back." And hell yes it always feels like that, elders always notice the wrongs we do not the great we do but anyways, at the end of the day we feel like they nag too much you know,like we aren't supposed to live.

"Hahaha you think you 're all spruce! Dude I'm smarter than you, you just saying that so that I can open up and tell you every thread of my secret that I hold"😂 they both laughed so  hard but then retained that their parents were sleeping. 

"Okay since you don't believe me... I'll go first, he said. They were done with smoking, just watching the sky, the moon and the stars. 

"I'm all ears! I  wanna know all your detrimental acts you've been up to " she said. 

"Well! Ahhm! I'm an adonis, a ladies man, I don't even have to orally say that, everyone knows that because they can see from my looks! You know what I'm talking about right?
