Kathy's Pov

My mind suddenly went black for Alice, I never knew her life was Controlled by the palm of her father's palm. I want to do something for her but who am I kidding? I can't even help myself.
"Your life is all settled?" I asked her and she remove her arms on her eyes. "Your life has been settled by your father and you don't have any right to complain?"
Alice chuckled, "I mean who am I kidding, Kathy? I can't be where I am today if it wasn't for my parents you know." She said and stood up from the bed, "But the more I try to get away from him the more he's trying to get me to him. I don't know there's just something wrong, I feel it."
"How about asking your father what is going on?" I recommend as she look at me, "Like I told you before, there might be a reason why he wants you to have good grades all the time and why he wants you to be the next owner. It wouldn't hurt you to ask him about it to do you?"
