Chapter 18 - The Worth Of Life In The Eyes Of Realius

"My second rule is for all of you to use your abilities, not in secret. Why do you ask? It is inevitable for those ants to know about the existence of extraterrestrial beings from those invaders, so it is best for those ants to know about it sooner than later."

"Any question?"

After starting his second rule, Realius asks his classmates. After a minute of silence, Realius states his third rule.

"The third rule is for you to treat the lives of the earthlings similar to an ant."

'Except for the protagonist, of course.'

"Why? Are the lives of those humans mean nothing to you?"

Before Realius can continue explaining his third rule, one of his classmates had the audacity to prevent Realius from continuing his statement.

Realius already expected that there will always be an idiot in a classroom who can't see Mt. Tai. Realius sees who dared to interrupt him and he sees a girl with shoulder-length blonde hair that has the same color as her eyes.

Like all the students at Manipulator's Academy, the blonde-haired girl is also clothed in her uniform.

"What is your name?"

Realius asks who dares to ask him about his morals, which is almost nonexistent.

"Samantha. No last name."

"Samantha, to answer your question, I need you to answer mine first. What is the value of an ant in an earthling's perspective?"

Realius nonchalantly asks the blonde-haired girl who was named Samantha. It didn't take several seconds for Samantha to answer Realius' question.

"A mere bug. Why do you ask?"

"I will get to that point later on. Why do you think an earthling sees an ant as a mere bug when, in fact, an ant also has a life and queen to take care of?"

When Realius asks that, Samantha falls into contemplation as she tries to find the answer to Realius' question.

What about Realius' other classmates such as Shirley Marrietto? They had already known about Realius' intentions when he had started his third rule.

After all, Realius' classmates are from the S-Class section of the Manipulator's Academy. Not all of them are dumb and weak since using the backdoor to enter S-Class is nigh impossible.

Samantha's face lightens up as she discovered the truth.

"Because ants are weak and worthless in the eyes of an earthling."

"You are correct. And that is why all of us will treat the lives of those earthlings similar to an ant. Why? because in our eyes, those earthlings are nothing more than weak and worthless."

'Except for the protagonist. That ant, although weak, has some worth.' Realius thought to himself.

After hearing Realius' analogy, Samantha dares not to question him anymore for three reasons.

One, Realius is right. Second, she is too weak to defend herself from Realius' power if Realius decided to kill her. Third, she already knows about the thoughts of an earthling because she is also an earthling, but not from this universe's planet earth.

Maybe it's because of Samantha being an earthling that gave her the courage to question Realius' morals. Samantha's origin as an earthling gave her the courage to at least prevent Realius and her classmates from treating

But she also knew that she can't convince them. Why? Because she is weak in the eyes of her classmates especially Realius.

Even if her power is enough to dominate the entire Planet Earth, it still isn't comparable to her classmates who have surpassed her in both background and power.

"The third rule is the most important of all. Even if you break the first and second rule, you will only get a milder punishment compared to breaking the third rule."

"I know that most of you already knew my intentions of emphasizing the importance of the third rule. But if not, then I might as well explain it to you."
