Chapter 8 - 6 || ᴅʀᴀᴍᴀ ||

Once Y/N got back home from the group session, she immediately hopped back onto researching more, feeling guilty at how she just stormed out of the house and somehow snapping at Jimin who was kindly offering to walk her home. It was now past dinner time and she had just finished adding on some more useful notes. She closed her laptop, stood up and placed it on top of her desk, standing there for quite some time, suddenly spacing out as she recalled what had happened earlier.

"Ah, that was so irrational of you, Y/N" she hissed and slapped her forehead several times in the process.

A flash of Taehyung's face came into her mind which totally knocked her thoughts off. Y/N grunted, grumbled, and groaned in frustration and started slamming her head onto her soft mattress rather harshly. Repeating the word "stupid"

She stood up and walked straight ahead to Jimin's house, quickly dismissing her parents from asking her where she's going by saying "I'm heading to Jimin's for a bit". Leaving them confused by her sudden choice of time to visit.

She wanted to say sorry for snapping at him without any reason. After checking both sides, she crossed the street, jogging.

"Miss Y/N, what brings you here this late?" A guard at the Park's residence halted her steps.

"I'm just here to talk with Jimin about our project. Mind letting me in?" the guard simply nodded and pressed a button, opening a smaller gate within the huge one.

All the lights were off and Y/N new no one would hear her from the front door with how wide the place is. So, she ran towards the left side of the house and looked up to where Jimin's room was. It was dark just like the other areas of the house. Of course, mostly no one would be home. If your parents are both successful bakery and cafe owners, having branches all around South Korea, they'd always be out working so late.

Y/N took the risk of climbing up a thick vine that grew beside the walls, seeing as the windows were closed, Jimin wouldn't be able to hear her at all, even if she screamed. She struggled with her grip as she started to climb. One hand going higher after another and her feet on the wall supporting her weight and stability. Her breathing decided to go faster and is begging to crack a sweat. The window was about three persons high up.

Y/N finally reached the top and absolutely did not expect what greeted her, although I didn't surprise her at all.

Of course two people under the sheets, the moon serving as their only source of light that illuminated the room just right to keep them in sight of each other and for Y/N to see what was happening.

Unfortunately to Y/N's dismay, her hands slipped from the vine caused by the sweat that flooded her palms. She fell down with a scream and a loud thud when she landed on the ground, fortunate enough that it was grass.

"Wait— did you hear that?" Taehyung asked pushing Jimin back for a moment.

"Hear what?"

"Never mind" Taehyung shrugged it off and Jimin's knotted brows relaxed and went back to what they were doing.

Y/N slowly stood up, limping as she tried to run to the gate, passing by the guard yet again "Did you get to talk to him Miss Y/N?" He asked, his confused and worried gaze following Y/N's form as she sped off clearly wincing. She didn't have time to answer, giving him a thumbs up and proceeding back to her house.

"Why did I even think of apologizing tonight?"

__

The next morning, Y/N didn't feel as well as she always did, her mind fogging up with what happened with Taehyung yesterday and still feeling guilty when she accidentally snarled at Jimin and let's not forget the last thing she saw before going to bed.

As she went in the campus, everyone started greeting her but not being in the best mood, she only nodded or passed by them.

Thankfully she saw Jimin standing in front of his locker, taking his books out. She dashed to his side and the lad noticed her almost immediately. "What happened to you? You look dead." He asked, facing her form

"Yeah cause I fell down eight feet high from your window after seeing you fuck Taehyung last night. " Y/N muttered but changed the subject right after "Look, I'm sorry for snapping at you yesterday. I know you were just being polite. I wasn't just in the best mood. Do you forgive me?" She sighed, her sight on other things just so she couldn't meet his eyes.

Jimin ruffled her hair and giggled slightly "Of course I forgive you, Y/N-ah!" He closed his locker and left for his first period class leaving Y/N finally feeling relief.

History was their first class for today. Y/N spiritlessly walked to her seat only to see the familiar piece of sticky note paper stuck on her chair.

'Did you know that the wood frog can hold its pee for up to eight months?'

For once this made Y/N a bit happy. Maybe because she was feeling down this morning and this cheered her up a little. She looked at Yoongi who was simply minding his business with headphones on and his eyes closed as he leaned back on his chair.

"Hey Y/N! Prom's next Friday, do you have a date yet?" Anya excitedly questioned her friend. Haera handing her a concealer stick, not even questioning what kept her awake all night.

To think about it, Y/N did receive a lot of prom proposals this week but all she ever replied was "I'll think about it" dismissing people who were brave enough and risked their all to ask the campus queen. Maybe it was only her who didn't feel that much excited for this event. Or she hasn't really found someone interesting to be with for that whole night.

"No"

"Oh, hun! That's alright! Promposals usually happens more this week!" Haera giggled facing to the front as Mr Yeon entered the room only to tell them to go sit and continue planning with their groups. They gathered around Jimin and Eunkyung's place. Taehyung side glanced Y/N who was dragging a chair along with her feet that made screeching noises. She sighed and slumped her whole body and smacking her head onto the table, fast asleep.

Taehyung's gaze travelled to Jimin who chuckled and removing his jacket, folding and placing it under Y/N's head. He watched him stroke her hair tenderly before opening his laptop and speaking to Eunkyung by his side. Only then did Taehyung notice that his brows were scrunched when his friend called for his attention.

He took one last glance at her, soft whistling coming from her nose that must've gotten a bit blocked as her mouth slowly went ajar.

He shook his head, after clouds started to appear in front of him with a flashback of Y/N's face up close last night.

"Tae, are you alright?" Both their confused eyes were settled on him.

"Ah— it's nothing. Where were we?"

__

"Oh my gosh! Jennie! Sis hey!" Taehyung ran towards his friend, flailing his arms timidly. "It's been so long! You look gorgeous! Yes queen, pop off!" They both jumped together in a circle as they both squealed wiggling their fingers together.

"Oh my gosh indeed! Your hair! What have you done?" Jennie gasped touching his silver locks "I so love it! Is this colour even allowed?"

"Alright class settle down, settle down" it was their last lesson for the day, drama and in came Ms Ahn, breaking the two from their reunion.

Taehyung and Jennie have been best friends ever since the first year of high school. The loudest bitches whenever they're together. They would often go shopping, to salons and spas together just to have fun, relax and gossip for hours. Only then last year that Jennie had to go abroad to her grandmother to pay a very long visit and just came back yesterday.

"Now that everyone has gathered in one big circle, we will continue discussing about the patriarchal societies back in the day. We've already talked about how it was in the medieval and the Victorian time periods. Now we fast forward to during the nineteen hundredths." Their teacher rambled on with her lecture, most students actually paying attention while some weren't.

"Let's see... I would like Y/N and... Oh- Taehyung to demonstrate and improvised scene on what you think goes down in a patriarchal household. Miss Lee be the husband and Mr Kim be the wife."

Ah, yes. Did I forget to mention? Y/N was in this class too, along with Jimin. Long story short, Taehyung has potential to be an actor and was actually casted in one particular romance drama: "Blue and Grey" when he was only sixteen. While Y/N took this class to boost her credits. They only had three classes together; history, drama and art. Both of them never really liked the idea but they didn't speak to each other that much anyway. Less cost of trouble.

Having no choice, the two of them stood up from their asses and into the centre of the attention. Mumbling to each other for a minute about what they should act out.

"Action!"

Taehyung stood on the other side pretending to bake a beautiful tasty dessert for his 'husband' to eat after a long day at work. He had a fake loving smile plastered on his face while humming to an unfamiliar tune. Turning around with feminine gestures of hands gracefully being in mid air as if he was getting more ingredients from the cupboard.

"Dear, I'm home" Y/N yelled, deeper than her usual voice. Taehyung rushed to her while wiping the invisible flour onto the imaginary apron, carefully taking her trench coat off and hanging it on a coat rack prop.

"How was work, darling?"

Y/N sighed and took manly strides towards a chair and pretended to open a news paper, one feet on top of her knee, like how a man would usually sit. "Stressful but as the boss, I always have to do everything." Y/N ticked her tongue and put the newspaper lower from her face, eyeing her 'wife' who stood there meekly with lopsided smile. She disregarded the facial expressions and changed the subject, bringing up the imaginary newspaper to cover her face "Well, what's for dinner? Have the kids gone to bed already?"

"I made chicken casserole and it's ready on the table if you want to join me now—"

"I'm not having that sick meal again. Just go make me a sandwich" she demanded. Taehyung silently snarling at her. Y/N having suspicion, quickly checking over the paper and in a split second Taehyung changed it into a sweet smile

"The kids, they keep asking when you're taking them out to the fair. You know it only lasts for three days and tomorrow's the last day."

"Yeah, really? That's great..."

Taehyung sighed and took the invisible plate and handed Y/N her sandwich "Can't you at least spare some time for the kids, Harold?"

"Linda, you know how busy I am."

"They're our kids— your kids!"

"Will you shut up, woman!" Y/N yelled causing Taehyung pretending to cower in fear as he adverted his eyes towards another direction— dramatically, I might add.

"Did you just have the audacity to raise your voice at me?" She stands up and starts walking towards Taehyung. Grabbing a hold of his chin and forcing him to look at her. "Look, let's make this clear, yeah? I'm the man in this house. You all go by my rules. I own you and you never and I mean never, talk back to me. You get that?"

Taehyung had to actually process what was going on. Not as his character but as himself. Y/N is too close. He can see how her expression is flaring. Eyebrows knotted, jaw tensed and her forehead forming creases. He wanted to laugh but at the same time he wanted to look at her longer. Taking in all of her features and letting the tiny workers in his brain write it all down for him to always remember. To probably to make fun of her looking like a steaming Thomas train.

"—and cut." Ms Ahn stands up and everyone starts clapping, shoulders dropping back in relaxation after the scene created a little bit of tension in the atmosphere.

Taehyung blinked his eyes rapidly and straightened his posture before going back to his seat. His eyes lingering on Y/N's figure.
