Chapter 40 - Didn't find her

Valet eyebrows furrowed and his forehead creased into a tight knot when he couldn't find Jen. He ran to the maid's quarter and he was surprised that she wasn't there also, where could she have gone?" Was the question valet was throwing at himself.

"Where is she?" Valet asked the maids and they all shook their head in denial. They didn't know where Jen went.

"I am not joking, you should tell me where she went if you don't want to lose your lives" valet spoke in a deadly tone enough to send chills to whoever was in the castle, his intimidating aura clouded the room and his eyes was fiery red. The maids irked him up by concealing where his wife went. He was livid to the max that everyone thought he was going to explode.

"Your highness please spare our lives we don't know where she is" The maids begged as tears flowed their eyes but valet didn't find their pleas plausible. He angrily drew his sword from his sheath as he stated.

"Where is she?" He pointed the sword to the eldest maid in the room and when she shook her head, valet cut her head off and others gasped in shock. No one knew he could be this angry, never has valet lost his calm, he was so composed that everyone thought it would be hard for him to lose his shit but today he lost it. He was so livid that he could kill everyone in the castle even in the inner palace.

"Valet!" The king called from behind, he heard from the guards what his son was doing so he hastily came to intervene before valet destroys everything. Valet threw the sword across the room as he ran a frustrated hand over his hair, he turned to face his father who showed a disapprobation expression.

"Would you find her by killing them, even if you kill them what would you gain?" The king inquired and valet sighed as he gazed at the ceiling.

"I cant find her father and it's all because of them, I know one of them know where she is but they don't want to talk" Valet said calmly, he was so furious as he threw a scornful gaze to the maid's who gulped once their eyes came in contact with his fiery red eyes.

"Have you done something to her before that makes her want to stay hidden?" The king asked and valet nodded slowly, he remembered how he had hurt Jen by keeping Fiona in the castle, that night that she ran away from him he couldn't find her.

"It's your fault valet, now go out there to look for her and stop wasting time here, stop wasting lives here" The king said before turning his back to leave.

"If I don't find her, you are all going to lose your lives" Valet said to the maid's even if his father had just told him not to kill them.

Valet rode to the town, he also told his bodyguards to search for Jen in another angle but they reported to him that they didn't find her. "Where are you Jen, I promise I'll never hurt you again" Valet said inwardly, cursing himself for being so careless to let her escape from the castle.

He rode around the market, church Schools even to the temple where they last visited. "Have you seen Jen?" Vale asked Denver who was seating on the chair and eating his snacks happily

"No valet, what's up it's been a long time" Denver the young boy said smiling but valet was in no position to return that smile when he knew his wife was missing.

"Why are you looking for her?, did she run away with your money?" Dennis asked playfully and Denver shoved his arm indicating him to keep his mouth shut.

"How could she?, she is a very nice lady I don't think she'll do that to valet" Denver said supporting Jen.

"I need your help guys, would you help me look for her?" Valet asked with a pleading tone and Denver nodded.

"You are so nice to us valet, we would help you find your wife" Denver said and he beckoned on the other kids to follow him and they searched the whole town, they even entered restaurants, hotels but they didn't find Jen.

"Aye, valet I am so tired, this sun wants to burn me alive" Dennis complained as he bent down and wrapped his arms over his legs. Valet also sighed as he sat beside the kids, he was so unhappy that he couldn't find Jen.

"Valet what did you do to her to make her leave?, she wouldn't leave without a relevant reason" Denver inquired.

"I punished her for lying to me, I--i- I treated her badly" He stuttered as the words stuck in his throat, he felt uncomfortable and found it hard to breathe well after confessing all what he did.

"That's so bad valet, if I was Jen I would not return to you" Allison, a young girl said, she scoffed and turned her face around. If she had the chance, she would become a lawyer to fight for women's right, it isn't good for a man to punish his wife badly no matter what she did, there must be a solid reason to why she did everything.

"I know Allison, but would you really not go back to the one you love?" Valet asked.

"I would but on one condition, if he promise never to treat me bad again" Allison answered and valet nodded as he looked around him, he found out that the kids looked hungry.

"You guys should seat here let me go get food for you all" valet said standing up, he looked over and found there was a restaurant ahead of him. He hastily walked over to get food for the kids, however as Janet was attending to him, a purple haired woman passed by his side which he failed to notice.
