"Father you requested to see me?" Valet asked with his head slightly bowed.
"Yes I did" The king said, he cleared his throat before pointing at a seat an valet got the message as he sat down and gazed up at his father.
"Did you know that you got engaged with the daughter of lord ambrose since you were kid?" The king inquired and valet shook his head hastily, he never heard of that, why didn't the king tell him before.
"No father, who is lord Ambrose?" Valet asked.
"Ahh, that's my best friend but he passed away, he was shot by those stupid bats and I made a promise to avenge his death, that's why the endless war between the three countries, dragons, vampires and werewolf would never end, it is till infinity" The king replied looking dejected, although it has been eighteen years since his friend passed away. He just couldn't help but recollect all those precious moments they spent together.
"Alright father, but what does that have to do with me?, I never said I liked his daughter why did we get engaged, why would I get engaged to someone I haven't met before" Valet inquired slightly annoyed that he was engaged since he was a kid and no one told him anything about it, not even his mother.
"Hush!, his daughter is the perfect choice for you, you need to find her and get married to her" The king said and valet ran a frustrated hand over his hair. Why couldn't his father get the message he just passed, he has never seen the woman, nor has he talked to her.
"Where the hell is she?" Valet asked, not unbothered by the harsh tone he was using.
"That I don't know, but I guess she should be in the dragon's country with her mother" The king stated and valet rubbed his palm on his forehead, why was he having an headache suddenly and his eyelids kept twitching, something bad was happening or it has happened, he doesn't know for sure because the future was unpredictable.
"Dragon huh?, father are you trying to send me on a death mission, you know they don't have pity on werewolves" Valet said in a reminding tone.
"That's because of what Madison and ambrose did" The king said and valet raised his gaze, he looked more interested in the topic when he heard that Madison. He racked his brain trying to remember from whom he heard that name, yeah, Jen, she mentioned the name like the woman was so important to her.
"Are you saying, your friend lord ambrose and Madison had an affair, but why would she have an affair with the werewolf when dragons despise us?" Valet asked in a curious tone.
"You don't know the power of love, you are still young don't worry someday, you would understand love" The king.
"Father, could you please tell me their love story, the night is still young" Valet said and the king scoffed, he knew his son loves stories especially romantic ones and he doesn't know why valet liked listening to it, he was a guy and not a girl.
"Alright, pay attention" The king warned and valet heeded with his palm under his chin, he was full of inquisitiveness as he wanted to know how Madison is related to Jen.
"Our Kingdom was at war with the dragons and vampires, I was leading the troop of armies with ambrose by my side, we always supported each other's decision and we've got each other's back. We made the first movement as we set the dragons ablaze but dragons don't die through fire, it made them more powerful and we were seen as a mediocre. The dragon king back then requested for something impossible by saying he would end the war but it was just a trick and thankfully we didn't fall for his trap at all.
The first time we fought, the werewolves were badly hurt by those merciless dragons, the king charged at me especially because he believed the downfall of the alpha would lower the self esteem of the beta's and Omega's since alpha's are much powerful. So many werewolves died that night under the full moon and only ambrose and I were unscathed. The vampires didn't let us take a rest as they started attacking the werewolves and the dragons combined, they looked so confident in themselves because they've got the latest and sharpest weapons, of course silver was included as they planned to annihilate the werewolves forever.
However, it looked like an angel reigned peace for just a short moment and everyone retreated, ambrose and I helped the werewolves back to our tent as we attended to their wounds, they looked severely injured and we needed water to clean the up. Their bodies would release a fetid smell if we don't wash them away quickly.
Ambrose insisted on fetching water from the dragons because the werewolves were closer to them. Ambrose in the night, sneaked to the dragon's but he was confronted by someone wearing a black cloak.
His heart leapt out of his chest when realization hit him that he had been caught.
"Going somewhere?" Madison inquired as she pointed the tip of her sword to his throat, he raised his hands in a defence mode and Madison dropped the sword for reason she couldn't explain.
'Phew, just a woman, you can handle her yourself right' Ambrose asked himself and he nodded unconsciously, he ignored the woman as he kept walking carefully to avoid being caught by anyone..
Madison heard noises so she pulled ambrose to a corner as they almost collided with each other.
"Are you trying to push yourself onto me lady?" Ambrose asked as his slender finger raised up her chin, he forcefully pulled off the hood and he was astounded by the magnificent goddess right in his front. His mouth hung open as his gaze fell on her lips, he yearned so much for the taste of that red lips.
"Mister?" Madison asked bringing ambrose out of his stupor, he stopped gawking at her as he maintained a straight face.
"Thanks for helping me, I would take my leave" Ambrose said and Madison spread her arms wide apart, not moving.
"Stay here, let me go get water" Madison said as she hurriedly left.
