"Stay here, let me go get water" Madison said as she collected the bottle from him, Ambrose stood still as he watched her back until she vanished into the darkness. His mouth was shut and his legs shaking, he didn't try to make any noise because the peace that reigned for just a few minute would end if he made any sound.
"What are you staring at?, here is your water, now leave" Madison ordered and ambrose nodded.
"Thanks, hope to see you again princess" Ambrose said before leaving her sight. Madison felt strange, him calling for her stirred a feeling in her stomach, unconsciously she smiled and when she realized the heck she was doing, she hit her head hard.
"But he isn't bad" She whispered before giggling to herself.
...
"What took you so long" The king asked, ambrose shook his head but he suddenly remembered the princess and he smiled to himself.
The king gazed at his friend unusual behavior and his forehead creased into a tight knot.
"Wait ambrose, what's with the smile huh?, you only went to get water and you are like this?" The king inquired but didn't receive a reply as ambrose went ahead cleaning the soldiers. After five minutes of cleaning the soldiers up;
It's done, got to leave" Ambrose said and the king frowned deeply, what does he plan to do at this time of the day. This time was meant for relaxing and patiently waiting for the next battle not roaming about aimlessly, or does he have work to do. 'I hope not' the king thought. He gave a slight nod and ambrose waved before going into the darkness.
The king was in deep thought, his friend could get in trouble for moving at this hour and he couldn't do anything to stop ambrose, the man was so pigheaded. 'Let me just see what he is up to' The king thought as he snuck out of the tent and also blended into the darkness.
He could see ambrose walking and he carefully followed him, suddenly he turned to check if someone was tailing him behind and the king quickly hid. Ambrose shrugged his shoulders before moving, he saw the princess going into a tent and he quickly hid.
"You can do this" Ambrose said calming his raging nerves, his heart was beating erratically in his chest and his body was full of sweat, he closed his eyes for a moment, inhaling and exhaling deeply before opening it. Seems like the breathing in and out boosted his courage as he walked over to the princess tent.
Madison eyes glowed with fire when she saw a shadow looming over her tent, the tent gradually opened revealing the man she helped and her forehead creased, what does he want by this time.
"Hi princess, mind sharing your tent?" Ambrose asked nervously, he has never approached any woman talking straight forward. He was always slow and also chivalrous. But something about this woman was bothering him, he wanted to make her his. To have her all day, to be with her in her sad and happy moments and ever since he saw her, he yearned to feel her.
"What!?" Madison exclaimed but her voice died down immediately, she didn't want to create a commossion at this hour so she kept her mouth shut.
She beckoned on him to come closer and ambrose gladly did, unknown to him, The king was watching and listening to the unfolding drama happening right before his eyes.
How on earth would ambrose ask Madison brazenly to share a tent with her, what woman in her right mind would agree to that. He hoped ambrose was still thinking or hasn't lost his senses, what could a man and a woman sharing a tent imply and He hoped that ambrose still had a tiny rationality in him and wouldn't do anything stupid, The king turned around to leave for the werewolves tent.
"Why are you here?" Madison asked coldly.
"I don't have a room to sleep tonight and since we are friends, why don't we share?" Ambrose asked brazenly.
" We aren't friends and you don't have a room?, you could only think about a woman's room you are up to something aren't you?" Madison inquired, she was even angry at herself for not driving him out, if anyone mistakenly sees them both. Sooner or later the news would go viral. She drew her sword as she pointed it to his neck.
"What are you doing princess, you should have a kind heart and help anyone in need, why are you trying to kill them?" Ambrose asked and Madison became short for words, she slowly withdrew her sword into the sheath.
"That's good you shouldn't kill them, instead you should help them" Ambrose said before kissing her cheeks. Madison eyes grew wide, what the heck did he just do to her?. This was something she has never received from any man. Him kissing her cheek stirred up a feeling in her and her cheeks flushed red in embarrassment.
"Good night princess, I'll surely dream about you" Ambrose said sweetly before kissing her lips, his lips twisted into a smirk when he saw her cheeks flushing red. However, he was too tired and he needed to sleep. He laid on the small bed as he closed his eyelids and slowly drifted to sleep.
Madison sighed as she stared at the man sleeping on her bed, she wasn't going to sleep on the ground for fear of getting bitten by an insect. She laid by his side but far away from him.
She got tired of admiring the handsome man and she turned her back to sleep, she was disturbed because he placed his strong arm on her waist and his nose on her neck. His breath was blowing her hair and it makes her shiver uncontrollably. She wanted to remove his arm but his left leg was over her legs and his head now on her chest as he clung onto her body not making her move.
