"Your highness" Ava said as she bowed her head.
"Give her the hardest work you can think of" Valet said to Ava and the woman looked stunned, he wanted to punish his wife but for what?, why would he give her heavy punishment.
"But your highness, why?" Ava asked and valet glared at her, she gulped as she was forced to look down.
"You aren't in any position to interrogate me, you two should get lost" Valet said and ava nodded as she pulled Jen who was reluctant to leave him.
"Ava, she must clean the library this night and you shouldn't give her any food" Valet warned and ava nodded as she hurriedly went out of valet's sight, she couldn't believe that he would punish his wife, but he had no reason no matter the amount of offence she committed, that was so cruel of him. She got the fact that he hates being deceived or lied to but couldn't he just listen to her explanation, there must be some logical reason behind that pretentious act of hers.
"Your highness, you have to clean the library this night, if you don't, his highness would be so furious with you" Ava said and Jen was stuck in thoughts, she wasn't even listening to the maid until Ava shoved her arm.
"You have to clean the library or his highness would be mad at you" Ava reiterated and Jen nodded, ava got the maids clothes for Jen and without thinking twice. She pulled off her pink dress and wore the maid's clothes. The maids have a special color of clothes and Jen's own was yellow, so you could distinguish between the job they did in the castle. The maids wearing yellow did the hardest job in the castle.
"You'll get over this" Ava said and Jen managed to smile, cleaning a library shouldn't be hard since she has been a maid before.
"I'm going now" Jen said as she went to the library to get it cleaned, her mouth hung open, she shouldn't have underestimated this library, it has so many secret passages and she's got to clean them all. Maybe after she's done valet would take pity on her.
Jen sighed as she started arranging the books in their respective places, she cleaned the shelves properly and place the books neatly in them. She stared at the highest shelf, her hands couldn't reach there even if she stood on her foot, her eyes darted across the room and she found a ladder, she has never climbed a ladder before but she aspired to get her work done and apologize to valet if he would find her pleas plausible.
She climbed up the ladder carefully and cleaned the shelves as she placed the book in it, however, when she wanted to climb down, her feet slipped and she fell. Jen closed her eyes waiting for the pain to befall her but it never did, instead she felt a strong arms wrapped around her waist. She opened her eyes to see who saved her and her words stuck in her throat.
"Valet?" She inquired and the guy dropped her making her land on her butt, she groaned in pain before wiping the dust off her dress.
"What are you doing here?" She asked but he didn't answer as he turned his back to leave. She couldn't let him leave so she wrapped her arms around his waist preventing him from moving.
"Valet, don't you like me anymore, don't you like your brave tigress?" She brazenly asked even if she knew he wasn't in a mood to joke.
"Jen let go of me" Valet said as he pulled himself from her hold, he turned to face her and when their eyes met, he couldn't help but feel bad for giving her work when she should be resting, she was the only one awake and working herself out.
"You should mind the way you talk to me and don't forget your status now, also think about finishing your work so you would sleep and prepare for tomorrow work" Valet said coldly and he saw her give a simple nod, he turned around to leave and Jen stared at his back before moving to sweep the floor.
Jen stretched her arms as she yawned, she was feeling so sleepy and she hasn't eaten anything, she felt too tired to eat so she walked into valet's room to rest.
Valet creased his forehead when he felt someone touching him intimately, the person's arms was wrapped around his waist. That couldn't be Fiona because he sent her to another room or could it be Jen, He turned on the bed to see Jen lying beside him. What was she doing here?, shouldn't she be sleeping with the maids?' valet thought, his gaze landed on her lips and she kept pursing it like she was dreaming of having a kiss.
Unconsciously his lips curved into a smile and he found himself moving closer to her to kiss her, when his lips almost landed on hers, he cursed himself 'Valet have you forgotten what she did to you?' Valet questioned himself, he quickly turned his back on her and closed his eyes, however, he couldn't sleep because she kept pushing herself onto him.

Jen was woken up with a splash of water on her face, she looked up to see who poured water on her while she was asleep and her eyes widened, she was in the maids room, she thought she slept with valet last night. How did she get here.
"Get up quickly, you have lots of clothes to wash" Emily yelled at her and Jen hastily stood up, she was still feeling sleepy but she couldn't sleep because she wouldn't be allowed.
"Where is Ava?" Jen questioned but she heard most of the ladies hiss at her.
"Ava has work to do and she's out of the castle, she won't be back until after a month" Emily explained
"So you will do her work and yours combined" Emily stated and Jen's eyes widened, what the hell of a work, were they planning to kill her. She still didn't have a peaceful sleep and was also woken up with water poured on her face, really?, was she still going to suffer in her husband's house.
