Lampung, May 23, 2016.
Mom and I held each other tightly in the airport crowd. Right now, my heart is no longer looking back. However, I forced myself to see the situation.
Dilan's my best friend, waved while screaming at us.
In a suitcase that was already full, my mother pulled away spontaneously.
"Come on, hurry up! Don't let us miss our flight," said my mother with all her worries.
Maybe this isn't goodbye because they were still behind my back when I turned around. I can't call it one by one.
However, the best person in my life didn't show up to wave. Because of we went so as not to be waved by him.
The plane wheel immediately went up and prepared to fly to the destination city. Lampung-Jakarta, our goal will be to live.
There, my mother must have met her sister, who was busy with her progress.
"We will go to your uncle's house. You will go to school there, in Jakarta." Mother's words are no joke. The woman used to look gentle but had to wrestle with the vengeful anger that flashed in her eyeballs.
"Mother," I said.
"Don't think about anything! I want you to be happy. But not to live with your dad. I tried to be patient for a dozen years. And now, it's time for us to go back to where we came from," said my mother with serious looks.
"Are you going to divorce dad?" I asked wearily.
"Yes," said the mother.
I can't look at my mother's face. My gaze was drawn back by the head in an instant.
This time, I seemed to live as a girl who had to lose her father. After all, he was the first love of my life. He is the one who always defends me.
However, one time it changed itself to make me dark. It's turned into someone who had to hate the father figure.
***
Late at night has accompanied my mom and me in front of the airport parking lot. A luxury car arrived in front of us.
Mother immediately pulled two suitcases at once approached the car.
"Why are you daydreaming? Come on, quickly bring your things!" screamed the mother when I was daydreaming.
"Oh... Fine, mom."
We got into a luxury car but, who knows in it? I was just silent the whole way.
We arrived at a mansion. The car pulled into the gate and stopped in front of a familiar-looking person. That's Jordan, my uncle.
I was amazed by the face of the uncle who rarely saw him. After a long time, no see the figure of my uncle, today my mom brought me to him.
"Let's get out!" my mother said to me.
"O-okay, mom."
I tried to pull my suitcase along with my favorite backpack. In front of a stylish man and woman have greeted us with sullen faces.
"My Sister," said uncle to my mother.
"Are you guys letting me stay here for a while?" mother asked.
"Sure, Sis. There's no way we'd let you roam out there," Jordan said with his brows furrowed now and then.
"Sister-in-law, what exactly happened to you?" asked the uncle's wife with a worried face.
I can read each person's mind. Judging from his uncle, he is a man who is very firm, intelligent, and good at playing with the heart.
While his wife, an honorable woman, was a little arrogant but trustworthy.
I prefer the uncle, even though he is a little strict.
Maybe I have a hunch in my heart. However, I never missed that estimate.
I am a woman with a big soul who has martial arts, a determination that often appears when I read their expressions and words. It's me who dreams of becoming a police.
"Emira, you're all grown up, kid." My aunt kissed my left and right cheeks.
I forced a smile at her, "How are you, Auntie?"
"Wow! Auntie is fine. I'm happy that you're here," said the aunt.
Yes, from his words, he said he was happy and felt lonely.
Aunt and uncle do not have a child. They have been married for decades. However, never have a child.
"Auntie would love for you to stay here," said the aunt.
I started to look at my aunt with a smile. This woman is friendly. Behind her friendliness, not necessarily he is a sincere and generous person. Most of those who don't have a child tend to be selfish, without compassion, will not even be patient to do something.
Aunt was a career woman and, the two of them ended up rarely seeing each other during the day.
"I told you long ago, Sis. He doesn't deserve to be your husband!" Jordan threw at my mother.
"It's gone! Why are you bringing it up again," my mother grumbled as she sat down in annoyance?
"Sister-in-law, then you stay here. Leave your husband! Besides, Emira has to continue her schooling," continued my aunt.
"I'll pay for Emira until she graduates!" Jordan said.
Everyone turned to look at the childless man. Yes, I broke through the uncle's eyes from afar.
"Are you sure? You're usually never nice to me. I can do it," my mother replied.
"Think of it as paying you back!" said Jordan with a serious's face.
"Returning the favor?" said my mother with a questioning look.
"Sis, I know. I'm the most disobedient child to you. Since mom and dad died, I've never contacted you," said Jordan.
"Honey..." Jordan's wife whispered.
I've looked at this old man's conversation many times but, I don't know what they were talking about in that conversation. However, I half-consciously tried to enter the conversation.
"Uncle, I want to be the Police!" I said in between their conversation.
Suddenly my mother looked at me and then moved closer to me.
"Do you want your mother to suffer more because of this? The police are very dangerous for you," my mom said directly to face.
"Mom, I can fight those who want to attack me. After all, I'm not a spoiled and timid child!" I tried to defend myself so that my mother agreed to my wishes.
"Uncle, it's up to you," continued the uncle.
"I won't let you become a cop. I want you to be a better man. Be a reporter or something!"
"If you insist on becoming police. Then don't you ever call mom again!" mommy is serious about saying everything. I want it so bad. What's wrong if I'd expressed it? Why? Why is mom crueler than father? Why are they both stubborn?
"Mom," I moaned, tugging at my mother's wrist.
"Don't call mom!!" my mother was angry at me. He swept my hand, tossed it in the opposite direction. The wind pushed my hand.
My face suddenly faded away from my mother's face. My mother was annoyed. Her steps so quickly left me alone in the room inside.
"Be patient!" My uncle is in charge of mine.
"Honey," quietly sang aunty hugging myself.
I couldn't be crying. I just brushed it off sadly while pouting my lips. They confused me.
With my dad, I will lose my future.
But with my mom, I have to live on orders from her.
Even though my heart is not the same as my mother's, I tried to smile as I returned my aunt's hug.
How will I be? Where will I go?
You will find surprises in the next chapter.
What do you think will happen?
