Chapter 5 - OLGA DISCHINGER's - LEB COOKIES

THIS ONE ALWAYS SOUNDED UNIQUE, I ate one once.. it wasn't bad.

■3 cups sugar

■1 cup water

■1 cup butter

■1 tbsp cloves

■1 tbsp cinnamon

■1 tbsp nutmeg

^^^ MIX and HEAT TILL DISSOLVED, then cool. (STEP 1)

THEN ADD

■6 cups flour

■1 cup pecans

■1 tsp baking powder

■1 tsp baking soda (dissolved in 1/2 tbs water *stirred well*)

INSTRUCTIONS:

1) Add top portion of ingredients together and dissolve in the water.

2) Add remaining ingredients, fold until consistent.

3) wrap in foil and place in fridge = 8 days.

4) mold and slice dough up into cookies and place them on a cookie sheet

5) bake @350 until 'they rise.' [DO NOT OVERBAKE]

[NOTE FROM OLGA] - I put my dough into a square pan and allow it to set for 8 days in the refrigerator covered in foil.

After dough is set, slice it up and arrange it on cookie sheet, bake @350 till 'it rises.'
