Morning could not come any sooner.
"We have been here for almost two hours already, Grim. Look! Even the sun is starting to come up now…" Dart pointed out.
Both of them were waiting for Alina to show up as she said they would meet early in the morning here.
She finally showed herself. "Err. My bad, I was up drinking last night, got a really horrible hangover." Alina chuckled as she said that.
Grim and Dart crossed their arms on their chest, showing that they were upset at her being this late for a practice session which she herself planned.
"Right, right, you're both probably tired to death of waiting, but trust me, it is going to be worth it." Her tone suddenly turned serious as she grinned.
"So, are you going to teach me how to do those wind pulses that you did yesterday against that chimera?" Grim asked her once more.
"I thought I made it clear already, boy. You cannot do that, rather, you are incapable of even controlling the weakest gust of wind there is. Not because of your lackluster strength, but because that is not your Vitalem." Alina said while trying to keep her eyes awake.
"V-Vitalem?" Grim was taken aback, this was the first time that he heard of this word.
"Oh, so that is what it is called in your world, Grim." Dart nodded.
"Correct. Vitalem. It is how I am able to control the winds and make an inch-long rev up from my throwing knives that strong. Do not get your hopes up, we still do not know whether you have it within you, anyway." She added.
"Where does Vitalem come from, master?" Grim leaned in closer, he was very drawn it to the topic.
"Basically, Vitalems are a way for us to manifest our powers, we all have different Vitalems, though some others might share a single power. It comes from the very Earth itself. If we humans and elves have life force or life essence, then Vitalem is pulled straight from the Earth's life essence." She proudly explained.
"O-Oh…" Grim was having a hard time grasping the idea of it after all.
