Chapter 30 - Clues

"It looks like your tiny brain is having a hard time comprehending what I just said." Alina uttered at Grim.

But before the elvish boy could react or say something back, she got up and took out a knife.

"This is my Vitalem, wind enchantment." Grim and Dart's master proudly stated. "Well, basically I can use different parts of my body with the blessing and power of the wind."

She threw her knife nonchalantly and without the smallest bit of effort, but it hit its mark, the trunk of a tree.

It made a whole right through it. Grim and Dart turned around in shock. "Anyway, the reason I told you that you cannot use my wind abilities is because every single Vitalem-wielding individual has a different kind of Vitalem that they use." She said.

Grim got hyped up and ran towards her. "So, how do I do it? How do I discover what kind of Vitalem I do have?"

"Slow down, boy. Nothing good ever comes from impatience. I'm going to teach you, of course." She giggled maniacally.

"Alright!" Grim bumped fists with Dart after hearing her reassuring words.

"Hmm. By the way, master, how come you are not surprised that I have a chimera with me?" Grim asked her.

She sighed. "I might as well tell you right now just to get it over with." She cleared her voice.

"To be quite frank with you, I know who your parents are, Grim Fenris." She said. The fact that she mentioned the Fenris family name despite not having heard it from Grim means what she is saying is the truth.

Grim was keen on hearing her story, perhaps she might have some details about when they will come back, even. The elvish boy thought to himself.

"After this, we will go back to the basics of Vitalem learning, alright?" Alina asked.

Grim nodded. "Yes, master!"
