"Oh? I thought he was all yours. This is the first time I have seen a so called 'predator' run away from its prey." The woman chuckled as she got up. "But if you insist, well then."
She leapt from above and landed a kick on the chimera's head. The shockwave sent pulses to the area.
Grim and Dart were more than surprised. They were overwhelmed. "H-How is she this strong?" Dart asked the elven boy.
Grim gulped. "Is this the power of a chimera hunter?" he asked himself in his head.
The chimera was being thrown left and right. Both Grim and Dart were awfully confused as to how this woman was doing this. That was when it clicked. Grim locked in his sight on her hands.
"Something is up with her hands, look. She is even throwing those daggers of hers so nonchalantly but it pierces the chimera's skin so easily, they fly like projectiles thrown and revved up from far away." Grim said.
Dart squinted his eyes as his tail was wagging. "I see it! She's using some kind of enchantment on her hands!" the baby dragon said.
"Enchantment?" Grim did not know what he was talking about. Nor did he know what that word meant.
"Err. I do not know what it is called in your world. I have only ever seen it with my mother trying to give us warmth by enchanting fire within her body." Dart replied with sad tone. It was obvious the baby dragon was not fond of remembering his mother.
The woman's fighting style was both elegant and destructive. She moved with such precision. Each step was taken for a purpose, no move was done just for the sake of it.
Almost like she was dancing in the eyes of Grim. The chimera did its best, using everything in its capability. You name it, its claws, its teeth, everything. Yet not a single scratch befell the woman at all.
Her daggers found its mark – the chimera's eyes, rendering it blind now. It staggered and attempted to find some good footing, but it just fell down to the ground when she slashed its limbs.
"This is how you hunt a chimera." She grinned as she said it, before throwing a knife up in the air and using her wind 'enchantment' to push it through its heart.
"What the hell…" Grim and Dart were in awe at what they just witnessed.
