Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

The princess was still in pale and cold state. She was still unconscious.

"Why we don't have any blanket in carriage? The princess body is so cold." Rosetta said.

"I don't need one." Said the Duke as he brushed off the dust from his cape.

"She is from a warm climate country. Must be cold for her. Plus, now she is wounded. Lucky no troll nail scratched her." Marquis said, "I will state this on my report to the Empress."

"Wait, what? Why are you against me now?"

"Against you? I am just doing my job. I am just reporting to the Empress."

"You promise you will help me."

"Help you being harsh to nice and kind Princess?" said the Marquis, "No, not this time. The ladies you engaged before was a nightmare in human form mostly. The best one is Lalita Delvaro. But she's too always looks down on the maid. Don't let me start with Eugenie."

"Don't mention her, she helped me chase out those ladies."

"Yup, but in a sacrilegious way." Judah's face was darken remembering all those days.

"Now what is the different?"

"She is."

Looking at her trembling and shivering, he took off his black cape. The cape is embedded with magic stone by Metuselah the Mage of the Empire. It is warm when it is cold and cool when it is hot outside. Water repellent and can stand weak magic spell. Very handy for an active Duke. He sighed while covering the unconscious princess with his cape. Her breathing was getting steady. As if the warm gesture has calmed her a lot.

At 8.00 morning they arrived at the Dukedom. The Head of Maid, Leia Schubert, and the Butler, Thomas Schubert has waiting for them.

"May peace forever be upon you, Your Highness. Bless you too, Marquis Kvasir." Said the rather old Butler. Schubert family has pledged their life for the Lleuelyn Duchy. Therefore, they are trusted for managing the estate for the Duke.

"Ahem, you just left her? I think my report to the Empress will be very long this time."

"Argh, you…!"

The Duke turned around, walked back towards the carriage. Just about to open the carriage.

Thudddd… The carriage door hit his face.

"Kyaa…" she let out a gasp from her lips, "My apology Duke Lleuelyn." She bowed her head deep.

"Ha… You should report this too to the Empress, Jude!"

He forcefully lifted her chin. Those black opal eyes trembled in fear. Iowyrthe dazed in a split moment.

"Wake up now huh? Good! Now give me my cape. Welcome to my humble abode, Princess." He said sarcastically.

"Aah this… Many thanks." Her voice was trembling.

"May peace be upon you, Princess Iris." Said the Butler.

"Welcome to the estate, Her Highness Princess of Musou." Added the Head of Maid.

"I want to talk with you, Princess. Prepare the best available room, southern wing." The butlers looked a little confused, but he nodded.

"Lady Leia, escort her to my study. I want to change first. This annoying Troll's stain. I was lucky the poison maybe not that strong when it splattered."

"Are you okay, Your Grace?" The Princess asked.

"Tsk…" he was smirking devilishly and walking out ignoring her concern.

"Shall we go too, Your Highness?" Judah sighed.

She nodded.
