"As such, I've arranged for him to spend some extra time with one of the guards tomorrow morning. He'll be going out riding with him, which is also a very important job.
As always, he'll be followed by one of the royal knights assigned to him so he won't feel alone. Also, the guards that are going to accompany him have been trained as knights themselves by their late mother and are familiar with the way things work here. They will teach Erend a thing or two about proper knight behavior."
She looked at me now and winked. I gave her a slightly hesitant smile.
"As you know, the reason why I have chosen to spend my days away from court these last few months is to allow my son the chance to grow and develop himself in his lessons as well as practice.
