Chapter 25 - |As Time Goes By, Life Becomes Darker For Some|

--Kim Young's Point of View--

Dan Nevuerra is silly, isn't he? He continued assisting her even with the most basic activities that she could do herself, he did for her.

Honey didn't mind it though since it was his own will to do so for some odd reason that we don't know about, what exactly made him do such a thing?

'They can't be dating now, he still has Jihyun holding onto their relationship.'

Even if it's fake.

"Does it feel comfortable enough? Is it too high or too low?" of course, it was getting extremely annoying for the rest of us including Honey, seeing as she kept on sighing.

"Is it just me or..."

I paused my question as I leaned in.

Whispering to Ji Eun as everyone had their conversations.

"Isn't this getting out of hand? He seems determined to claim her as his or could it be that there is a different reason or motive that Dan is trying very hard..?"

I continued, looking at Ji Eun for a reply.

"They shouldn't even be together when there's nothing going on between them, they shouldn't know one another as well, or even be close to each other. He already has a girlfriend that he loves..." she answered.

Or rather responded with a whole lot more questions.

Anyhow, it is obvious that he has grown fond of her but the question is, why does it seem like Dan likes her and also hates her??

"Something is definitely off about the two of them, not quite in a negative way."

It's just odd.

"Yah! Dan, follow me." Haesu reacted as soon as Dan held Honey's hand in his, and what exactly was her reaction to that sudden touch?

'Absolutely, nothing.' our world is weird as I have observed.

Honey felt hungry and was fed like a complete child by Dan.

He also made her drink water, not giving her a chance to do things by herself despite knowing that she was healthy now.

"You beaver!" she pulled Dan away from her younger sister and brought him outside, we all looked over to the two of them as well as Honey which is sort of a good thing, I guess?

Well, just like usual, silence filled the room until two girls started playing that annoying game for the 24th time this month or so...

"What do you think is she gonna do with him?" Ji Eun casually whispered to my ear with the knowledge of my girlfriend not being around.

We both felt at ease without Haesu anywhere in sight since she's always jealous even if it's her friend talking to me.

"Probably she'll only warn him not to cross the line, she isn't the type to hurt her friends, right?" I replied to clear something up because almost everyone knows that Haesu is soft when it comes to us within the group.

Our conversation lasted for about an hour right as I noticed that Haesu and Dan had not yet returned here which was suspiciously odd.

'Or there could be a reason.'

But still, she wouldn't take this long to simply remind him that Honey is off-limit to any boy like him, so I tried to figure out where they went by walking over to the window where someone, in particular, is using all their time, plainly staring at nothing but the...

'Clouds, huh?' they're very nice these days.

Fortunately, it didn't take me a while to spot them in the middle of the garden.

Haesu was sitting on the edge of the water fountain as Dan stood aside with his hands crossed on his chest.

Haesu looked very comfortable though, she was relaxed while talking to Dan meaning that there might not be any trouble for the day.

If only it was like this all the time, certainly just peaceful.

As they walked around for a bit, I watched them from up here, having a very friendly conversation about something I might never find out about...

'I am just glad that she did not do anything again.'

"I do hope that this time, it's real."

I whispered inaudibly as I returned to my seat before chatting with the rest of our friends, two minutes later, Dan came back with her, and there was something up.

'She didn't do anything now, did she? This is so complicated to tell.'

Saying from the atmosphere they had earlier was good but when Dan came back here with something behind his back that he did not wish to reveal to us could mean that there was another reason behind the 'talk' Haesu had with him.

"Don't mind it. Visiting hours are over, you guys should probably head off now." he changed the topic and we all went along with the flow.

"It's not that important."

I caught someone speaking softly to me while I glanced casually so as to not make it obvious, it turned out to be Sihyeon.

'She must've discerned something from that moment as well.' is what I assumed it meant.

"So... Do you have any plans for tonight?" Haesu ran to my side.

Holding onto my right hand as we all walked together in columns, she asked me about what I was planning to do that evening.

Still, I didn't want to tell her anything about the offer I got in modeling for this upcoming school break because it is a huge opportunity that I can't seem to turn down.

'Haesu won't like it since the group that I joined is already a big issue to her, how much more if it's a chance for my dream career?'

As long as my activities keep the both of us apart for a long while, it will become bothersome when the photoshoots and stuff about modeling come to an end.

Haesu is clingy which is the reason why I can never think of her as anything more than a friend, not even as a sister.

'But Ji Eun...'

The thought of her just amazes me, I smiled as the sight of her pretty face appeared in my mind, forgetting about the fact that my 'girlfriend' was right beside me.

"Kim Young! Why in the world are you smiling when there's nothing to be happy about? Are you crazy now?" she pushed me away.

She gritted her teeth as she glared at me before walking ahead of us, I looked at the others as they shook their heads from side to side.

Some knew that I had someone else in mind while the rest were just clueless about my actions lately.

"Come on, why are you being childish?" I ran after her.

Disregarding the thoughts or questions I had floating around in my train of thoughts, I just went with the flow as to how things are now.

Excluding the past and future it's more important to never think about the regrets we've collected so far when facing something near ahead of us.

However, I somehow feel burdened by another problem.

A much darker one involving us all.

I glanced at the others from behind us and tried to comprehend all the other emotions they've kept to themselves as life goes on.

No one seems to be deeply depressed or troubled, for now...

We are all stressed by Honey's condition and everything else that is common in one's life, we have no time to waste.

Since there might be a bad ending waiting for us if things go wild...

It is a lot to take.

'Knowing that means that I have to act fast by then.'

--Yua's Point of View--

"WAH!" I yawned as I slowly opened my eyes, seeing that the sun was shining brightly today shocked the hell out of me, hold on.

I checked the time and my mouth was left hanging open...

"The heck?"

It is the weekend anyway, no need to bother thinking that I'm late for school once again, I grinned at the thought of visiting Lou today.

She must be awake during this time of the day.

I should get ready since the others are coming along, and because the break is almost near, we also have plans.

I charged my phone, prepared all the things I would be bringing with me, fixed my bed, took a shower before walking out of my room, and then went to the kitchen to find something to munch on.

'Is Sora awake though?'

I didn't bother checking her bedroom since she would always keep the door locked whether or not is she in there.

"HEY, YOUNG!"

I screamed at the top of my lungs, not minding if she was woken up by the sound of me yelling or probably not.

Still, I continued rummaging through the fridge and picked up the leftover pizza that we had for who knows how long..?

Don't I seem weird for a girl though?

I've thought about this for a long time now because I am sure that Sora is the exact opposite of me, she's...

The type of girl I can't describe.

'Nevermind...' I stuffed the pizza slices in the air fryer and waited till it made that loud sound which is so awesome every time the food is already done being heated up.

"------" my phone rang creepily in a split second.

And just by the sound of it, I've already figured out who called.

"Aye?" I answered, munching on the pizza slice. 'Jeez!' that is super hot.

"Did you go to the hospital today? 'Cause I was just wondering if Honey Lou is doing well and where her wound actually came from, or simply the cause of it..."

I caught on to what he was implying as I was busy taking out all the heated pizza slices from the air fryer so that I could let them cool down for a bit.

Yun-Hyung also sounded very concerned about Lou.

"Yeah, I am just about to go there after having breakfast. You should come too, we'll be talking about our little get-together this school break."

I suggested but honestly, I don't think he heard me as clearly as a crystal because my tongue is currently in a bad state now after that first pizza slice.

"What is going on in here?!" Sora was already dressed up as she came into the kitchen, I assumed that she woke up earlier than me but never mind about it.

"Just eat up." I responded while she stood there with her hands crossed over her chest, chuckling before speaking again.

"You slept in, didn't you?"

"Seriously..?"

I checked our group chat on my phone.

I realized that they had already discussed the plans for our get-together, and that must be why Yun-Hyung asked in the past tense form...

"Oh, well."
