Lady Melissa smiled seeing them, they just genuinely seemed happy; and whenever Lady Melissa saw people who were genuinely happy for some reason; her face would just light up, and she would smile.
She would smile, a genuine smile; seeing someone happy was one of the things that would easily make her happy; especially if it were her friends or family.
Lady Melissa thought when was the last time she had spent some time together with her family? Not the ones like dinners and all but actual quality time?
'Not the right time Melissa.'
Lady Melissa thought to herself, snapping her out of her thoughts.
"Lady Melissa? Are you there?"
Victoria asked.
"Yes? What is it Victoria?"
Lady Melissa curiously asked.
"Well since you told me to report to you about every lesson, is it alright if I do it after the lesson ends? I'll still report to you if anything interesting happens though."
Victoria said.
"Alright sure."
Lady Melissa replied, immediately nodding her head in agreement.
"Alright then, have fun Lady Melissa."
Victoria said.
Lady Melissa decided that she had spent enough time playing around, she needed a way to get up there.
Lady Melissa thought for a few minutes, as an idea had suddenly appeared.
'What if I-'
Lady Melissa thought, thinking whether the idea would actually work or not.
It wasn't the best idea; she'd admit, but hey it wasn't the worst idea too...
She would once again, cast an invisibility spell on herself, before she would run upstairs, but the catch was that there were guards seemingly everywhere; maybe not in the mangrove, but before the hill.
Sure, the Shayla estate had guards as well; but not that many of them all once at a time.
Lady Melissa thought once more 'Could I really do this?'
She asked herself, taking a deep breath in before breathing out.
'I guess I'll never know until I try.'
She thought; before going into a place where she wouldn't be seen by the family, and cast her invisibility spell.
After a few seconds had finally passed, Lady Melissa had finished casting her invisibility spell, and she had one minute.
One minute to get up off the hill, and meet her dear friend, Baron Kevin, add that and her tiredness, as she had used the invisibility spell multiple times in the span of two days.
Although it was only for one minute, it was enough to tire her out, as she wasn't at that high of a level for magic.
It would've been less tiring for her if she was at a higher rank for magic, but this was not the best time to think about it.
Lady Melissa quickly went up the hill, trying her best to make her footsteps as soundless as possible; not wanting to alert any one of the guards.
Lady Melissa started panting midway down the hill, who knew fighting against gravity would be so hard?
Lady Melissa sarcastically thought.
Lady Melissa tired as h*ll now, decided that she needed to push through, after all she was so close to the gate.
That was what she led herself to believe, that she was close to the gate so that she would feel and be more motivated.
In all reality, the gate was around 2000 yards away from her, meaning that she needed to run another 2km; which was easier said than done.
Yet Lady Melissa didn't give up; she convinced herself that she just needed a tiny little bit more, and that she'd finally be there.
Which had surprisingly worked on trying to motivate Lady Melissa; keeping her to keep pushing on.
'Just a little bit more.'
Lady Melissa kept saying to herself, repeating that same phrase over and over again until she had finally FINALLY reached the gate.
Lady Melissa tripped and fell to one of the bushes beside the gate, suddenly turning visible, her hair mixed with a couple of leaves.
Lady Melissa, not knowing whether she should be grateful or just disappointed to the fact she fell somewhere so she could hide when she had immediately turned visible the next second.
Or whether she should be disappointed because she fell in the bushes of all places.
Lady Melissa quickly reminded herself of why she was here in the first place, to talk to Baron Kevin.
She peeked from the bushes, seeing guards everywhere; one on the left; two in the middle; and two on the right.
Lady Melissa took a deep breath, she needed to know which direction to take; after she passed the guards; there probably wouldn't be as much inside, so she didn't have to worry about that.
Hopefully she didn't have to worry about that.
Lady Melissa, of course wanted to take the easiest route, left, yet out of all of the five guards that were there, the first one was seemingly the most attentive.
The second and third guards in the middle, were both chatting with each other.
While the fourth and fifth guards were simply eating food, which Lady Melissa assumed they had done so as they hadn't eaten lunch.
Lady Melissa looked one last time towards the left, thinking that the man was probably the leader out of all five of them considering how attentive he was and how his uniform was a little different from the rest of the guards.
Lady Melissa took a deep breath, before quickly moving to the bush that was beside her, hoping that none of the guards, especially the leader would notice her.
Lady Melissa moving to another bush had made a little rustling sound, but luckily for her it wasn't too loud for the guards to hear.
Lady Melissa took another deep breath, encouraging herself that she could do this, no SHE MUST do this, and she'll make it through.
She'll see it through to the very end, because she is THE Lady Melissa; not anybody else, she can't give up now; nor can she get caught.
Lady Melissa, slowly crawled into the next bush, breathing out a little sigh of relief, which she made sure wasn't too loud.
It looked like she hadn't been caught this time either, her heart racing almost as fast as it had been when she was running earlier.
Lady Melissa took another deep breath, her confidence levels rising by every second she managed to successfully carry out her plan.
As every bush she had managed to get into, without getting caught her confidence levels kept getting higher and higher; and she genuinely believed that she could do this.
Until one of the bushes where she was hiding in, the leader had suddenly approached that specific bush, standing right in front of it.
Lady Melissa waited and waited, thinking that the leader would disappear after a few seconds; yet for some reason he stayed completely still.
Not even moving a single inch from his place, instead standing still like a statue, and right in front of Lady Melissa.
Lady Melissa waited some more, telling herself that he was probably just going to go in a few minutes.
One minute passed, then another minute passed, and another, and another, before finally it had been five minutes, yet the leader had been staying completely still.
STILL not moving at all from his position, keeping a lookout for anything that would seem suspicious to him.
Lady Melissa, not knowing what to do, he was right in front of her, there was a chance that if she moved, the leaves would create some rustling.
Which was why she was extremely reluctant to move; she had been staying at the same position for the last five minutes.
Her feet were a little tired from holding the same position without even moving a little bit, afraid to make some noise that would alert the leader.
Lady Melissa didn't want to get caught, no she ABSOLUTELY COULDN'T get caught, no matter what.
Lady Melissa tried to calm herself down; and increase her confidence levels.
'I can do this.'
Lady Melissa thought in her head, repeating the same phrase over and over and over again until she really meant it.
'Fake it till you make it.'
Lady Melissa thought, before casting an invisibility spell, saying the spell in her lowest voice ever.
Lady Melissa quickly left the bush, running for her life, choosing the left direction to go to Baron Kevin's estate.
The leader quickly noticed the sudden footsteps of Lady Melissa, just not noticing where it was from.
Lady Melissa quickly took a stone that she had picked up earlier, and put it in her pocket and threw it in the right direction; changing the leader's attention to the right direction instead of the left.
The leader, thinking that someone had gone through the right direction, immediately left his place and ran, thinking who or what had managed to pass through the gates.
Lady Melissa breathed out a sigh of relief, the other remaining four guards had followed their leader as well, confused as to why the leader was running in that particular direction.
