'My body's definitely gonna feel the pain of casting so many invisible spells from these past few days.'
Lady Melissa thought, already imagining how much pain she would be in tomorrow; she was already in pain today but it didn't hurt that much; yet.
Lady Melissa however continued running; and she kept running; until she saw a house, right that exact moment she saw the house; she had suddenly turned visible.
Lady Melissa quickly realized that she had become visible, hiding behind one of the many trees that happened to be there.
The house, which seemed larger and taller since the last time Lady Melissa had come here to Baron Kevin's estate.
Lady Melissa, thinking that Baron Kevin had probably just re-constructed everything to his liking because he probably didn't like it.
Which was something he'd often liked to do as a child, for example there was this time when Lady Melissa and him were building something with a bunch of wooden blocks.
Baron Kevin didn't like the end result so he just destroyed all of Lady Melissa's hard work and his, instead making another one, this time he made it into a shape that he liked.
Lady Melissa, who was only 6 or 7 at that time, stared completely bewildered, her emotions mixed with anger and just amused.
She didn't know whether to cry or laugh at Baron Kevin's actions; feeling helpless in the situation, not knowing how to react to his weird action.
Lady Melissa, deciding that she was too curious to find out about why Baron Kevin had destroyed the building blocks, asked him.
"W-why did you destroy the blocks we b-built together?"
Lady Melissa asked, stuttering over a few of the words she had asked Baron Kevin.
Baron Kevin replied with a smile, putting his right hand upwards before answering Lady Melissa's question.
"I didn't like what we built, so I simply destroyed it to recreate another building that this time; I would like."
Baron Kevin said, explaining his reasons for tearing down the building he and Lady Melissa had made together.
"You know...you can't just destroy things if you don't like something Kev."
Lady Melissa said, trying to tell Baron Kevin that he couldn't do it, and that it would be a bad habit if he had continued doing so.
Baron Kevin however, ignored Lady Melissa's advice, and here we are with Baron Kevin being 23, and still, being as reckless as ever; that was what Lady Melissa last remembered of him at least.
'Snap out of your thoughts Melissa, I can think about these memories later on, just now.'
Lady Melissa thought, snapping herself out of the old memories she had shared with Baron Kevin.
Lady Melissa quickly ran inside the house, hoping that she wouldn't be greeted by the numerous maids and servants.
Luckily for her, there weren't any maids or servants. Surprisingly, Lady Melissa quickly closed the door before heading her way upstairs, remembering which room was Baron Kevin's.
'This is weird...why are none of the maids or servants here? I can't even hear their voices.'
Lady Melissa thought, before brushing away those thoughts of hers; thinking that she was probably just overthinking.
Soon after, Lady Melissa quickly found Baron Kevin's room, knocking on the door.
"Come in."
Lady Melissa detected a British voice, Baron Kevin's voice, it had been so long since she had even last heard of his voice; in real life at least.
Lady Melissa slowly and slowly opened the door, the door creaking with every push Lady Melissa took.
Not long after, Lady Melissa had finally opened the whole of the door, yet Baron Kevin didn't notice it was Lady Melissa; too focused on his work that he didn't even look up.
"Nice to see you too."
Lady Melissa greeted Baron Kevin, standing right beside him as he had suddenly let out a yelp in surprise; not expecting to see Lady Melissa's face.
"AGH"
Baron Kevin yelped, almost falling from his seat.
"I hate you."
Baron Kevin said, venom in his tone, his face being pouty.
"Aww I missed you too."
Lady Melissa said, taking off her coat to reveal the clothes she had hidden from Baron Kevin's sight.
"So I assume you're here because of our call just now? Speaking of which, why did you call me? And asked for a meet-up all of a sudden?"
Baron Kevin asked, immediately bombarding Lady Melissa with his questions.
"Woah woah slow down Kev, and I'll answer your questions one by one but first of all, I'd like to say it's really great seeing you again. I missed you y'know?"
Lady Melissa said, her face full of joy and smiles; the last time she had seen him was in her past life; and where he denied that he was friends with Lady Melissa.
"Well...I guess I missed you too, it's great to see you as well Mel."
Baron Kevin said, his face softening hearing Lady Melissa's words, admitting that he had actually missed Lady Melissa as well.
"Aww that's sweet Kev, now I guess I'll answer your questions, yes I am here because of the call just now."
Lady Melissa suddenly stopped her sentence, walking into Baron Kevin's desk before taking a chair and sitting on it.
"Next question, I called you because I missed you, but that's not the full reason…."
Lady Melissa said, explaining to Baron Kevin why she had called him and wanted to meet-up with him.
"Basically I need your help, Kev, so what do you say? Are you in or not?"
Lady Melissa questioned, putting on her puppy dog eyes, hoping that Baron Kevin would say yes.
"You owe me one."
Was all Baron Kevin said, before taking a sip of his coffee that happened to be placed on his desk.
"Yeah, I know, thanks for the help Kev! I appreciate it."
Lady Melissa said, genuinely thanking Baron Kevin from the bottom of her heart for his help on the case.
"I'll make a couple of phone calls right now and then I'll tell you my opinion on the whole thing alright?"
Baron Kevin asked, making sure that Lady Melissa agreed with him, Lady Melissa gave him a nod of agreement before letting out a small smile.
