Lady Melissa and Lady Celine took the shortcut, and within 20 minutes, both of them had arrived at the Mendora estate.
"Well, it was nice talking to you, Lady Melissa. Unfortunately, I will not be able to send you off as I have something urgent to attend to, though I look forward to our next tea party. I'll be inviting you."
"It was nice talking to you as well, and you bet I will be looking forward to the tea party. I guess this is where we part ways?"
"Yes, goodbye, Lady Melissa."
"Goodbye, Lady Celine."
Lady Celine then practically ran through the doors of the Mendora estate, quickly going into her room, leaving Lady Melissa in the dust.
Lady Melissa entered the Mendora estate's doors, being greeted by the countless number of servants and maids who were bowing their heads down.
"Good afternoon Lady Melissa."
One of the maids said, greeting Lady Melissa.
"Yes, good afternoon to you all too."
Lady Melissa replied.
"Would one of you be able to help me?"
"I would be able to help you, Lady Melissa. What is it that you need?"
One of the maids spoke up.
"That's great, I left my maid here, and I was wondering whether you knew where she went?"
"By any chance, is your personal maid's name Sophia? If so, I believe I know where she went."
The maid said.
"Yes, could you kindly lead me to where she is?"
Lady Melissa said, eager to find Sophia and go back home.
"Sure, Lady Melissa, please follow me."
The maid led Lady Melissa to a ten-minute walk, going to the spot where Sophia would be, hopefully.
I believe Sophia is in here, the maid said.
The maid pointed to the many maids talking with one another before Lady Melissa realized that one of those many maids was her maid.
"Thank you very much."
Lady Melissa said.
"You may contact me if you have any more inquiries. Unfortunately, I must go now."
The maid turned around and left Lady Melissa.
Lady Melissa walked to the maids that were talking to each other.
After a few seconds, the maid realized that Lady Melissa was walking to THEM, and in a panic, they all stood up. Though Sophia wasn't panicked, she just quickly stood up.
The others who were in a panic soon followed her, though. They quickly stood up as well, not knowing what to do in the situation.
"Good afternoon Lady Melissa. Do you need help with anything?"
One of the maids said.
"I don't need help with anything. I just came to take something before I leave the mendora estate."
Are the maids panicked? Was Lady Melissa going to punish them?
They closed their eyes in fear of what was about to come, but after seconds of waiting, they felt nothing.
Slowly one by one, each of them opened their eyes.
And they saw Sophia talking to Lady Melissa.
'That must be what Lady Melissa meant just now.'
One of the maids thought.
They had initially closed their eyes, thinking that Lady Melissa would possibly hit them or, worse, take one of the ropes and inflict pain onto their bodies.
"I shall leave now."
Lady Melissa said to the maids, the maids who were still trying to figure out what was happening didn't manage to respond to Lady Melissa in time.
And Lady Melissa left without turning her back on them.
Lady Melissa and Sophia headed to their carriage, both of them eager to go back to the Shayla estate.
"How was the tea party, Lady Melissa? I hope everything went without a hitch."
Sophia questioned, eager to know if any more accidents happened at the tea party.
"I'll tell you more when we reach the carriage."
Lady Melissa said with an indifferent tone.
After a few more minutes of walking, both of them arrived in front of the Mendora estate with the carriage right in front of her.
Sophia quickly opened the carriage door for Lady Melissa before closing it and opening the carriage door on the left side for herself.
She saw a glimpse of the maids she had talked to earlier, and she quickly waved goodbye to them with a smile.
Before closing the carriage door.
Once Sophia got inside the carriage door, the carriage started moving almost immediately, and Lady Melissa was curious to know who she had waved to.
"Who were you waving to just now, Sophia?"
"Remember the maids you saw me talking to just now, where you had found me?"
"Yeah, why?"
"I was waving to them."
"Never knew you had social interaction in you, Sophia."
Lady Melissa jokingly said.
"Did you forget I'm not you, Lady Melissa? Of course, I have social interaction!"
Sophia then proceeded to pout.
"Anyways, how was the tea party, Lady Melissa?"
"It wasn't that bad...I guess."
After you had left, nothing much really happened, and the tea party just continued smoothly.
"I want to punch whoever made Lady Celine accidentally drop the boiling hot tea on my dress, though."
"hahaha, I understand your pain, Lady Melissa."
Sophia laughed.
Lady Melissa, all of a sudden, let out a gasp.
"What's wrong, Lady Melissa? Are you hurt or anything?"
Sophia questioned, her voice filled with worry.
"OH MY GOD, HOW COULD I FORGET-!"
Lady Melissa shouted, surprising Sophia.
"Forget what, Lady Melissa?"
Sophia calmly asked, wondering what Lady Melissa had forgotten for her to act in such a way.
"I FORGOT TO GET BACK MY DRESS AND RETURN THIS ONE- OH MY GOD!"
Lady Melissa shouted once more. How could she have gotten so careless and forgetful?
"Oh, your dress?"
Sophia asked.
"Yes, my dress that I left in Lady Celine's changing room."
"Oh, don't worry about that, Lady Melissa."
Sophia had a proud smile on her face.
"What do you mean not to worry about it, Sophia?"
Lady Melissa questioned, with a puzzled and confused expression on her face.
"I took your dress and put it in a bag and brought it to the carriage."
Sopha then took out a bag beside her, showing it right in front of Lady Melissa's face.
"Oh, phew."
Lady Melissa let out a sigh of relief.
"WAIT, BUT WHAT ABOUT THE DRESS I'M WEARING RIGHT NOW?"
Lady Melissa suddenly remembered.
"Oh, crap yeah-."
Sophia replied.
"Well, when we arrive back to the Shayla estate, you can always write her a letter about the dress."
