Chapter 61 - Chapter 61

After 20 minutes or so, Lady Melissa was done with the bath bombs and her relaxing bath session, and she drained off the water in the bathtub before opening the shower faucet and taking a nice warm shower.

Going to

Lady Melissa soon finished her nice little shower, taking a towel and changing into her comfortable pyjamas.

Lady Melissa exited the bathroom, immediately going into her desk to write a letter to Lady Celine, or else she would forget.

Just as Lady Melissa was about to start writing, her pen on her right hand at the ink beside her, a knock had come on the door.

"Lady Melissa, may I come in? It's me, Derrick."

Derrick said, knocking on Lady Melissa's door.

"Oh yeah, sure."

Lady Melissa casually responded.

Derrick opened the door met with Lady Melissa staring at him.

"I came here to deliver a letter for you, Lady Melissa. Though I'm not sure who sent it, I've checked it with magic that the one who sent it to you didn't have any negative intentions, so it should be safe."

Derrick said, handing over Lady Melissa the letter in question.

"Oh, thanks for the letter, Derrick."

Lady Melissa said, quickly thanking Derrick.

"No problem, Lady Melissa, I shall go now if there is nothing else."

Derrick bowed his head down before exiting her room.

'I wonder who the letter is from.'

Lady Melissa thought to herself, curious to know who had sent her the letter.

Lady Melissa carefully opened the letter, and there was a small piece of paper on the inside after she had searched the letter for a few seconds.

Lady Melissa could barely make out the words on it, but she did figure it out.

It said, '3:00 P.M meeting, Friday, I'll give you more info before then.'

The letter said, not saying who had written the letter to her.

Just as Lady Melissa was about to reread the small piece of paper, making sure that she had read it correctly, the paper had burst into flames, and she had accidentally dropped it in the moment of surprise.

Luckily for her, the fire was extinguished before it had reached the floor.

'I wonder who's the letter from.'

Lady Melissa thought to herself, eager to know who the letter was from.

'Hmm, and when is Friday? Let me check the calendar.'

Lady Melissa took the calendar right beside her desk, quickly flipping to the date of this week's Friday.

'Today's Wednesday, I think....so Friday is in... TWO DAYS-?'

Lady Melissa gasped, she didn't expect another meeting so quickly, but it was better than staying in her house for practically the whole day.

'I'm not gonna go hangouts or anything next week. Enough social interaction for me already.'

Lady Melissa thought to herself, hoping that nobody would be inviting her to any more meetings or hangouts.

'Oh yeah, the letter!'

Lady Melissa was reminded of the letter seeing the blank piece of paper on her table with the pen right above it and the ink beside it.

'I should start writing my letter to Lady Celine now.'

Lady Melissa thought, picking up the pen immediately.

Lady Melissa, this time, knew how to start her letter.

"How are you, Lady Celine? I hope you have been doing well ever since the tea party; I have written this letter to inform you about the dress you had lent to me at the tea party.

I forgot to give the dress back, so I planned to send it back if you want to?

P.S I can't wait for our next tea party:)."

-Best wishes

Lady Melissa

Though the letter was much shorter than the one Lady Melissa had written for Lady Celine previously, it was straightforward and to the point.

Lady Melissa took the stamped letter before putting it inside.

"Sophia!"

"Sophia!"

"Sophia!"

Lady Melissa shouted for Sophia multiple times before deciding that Sophia probably didn't hear her because she wasn't working inside the house, probably outside cleaning the garden or something.

'I guess I'll ask Derrick to send the letter then.'

Lady Melissa thought to herself, standing up from her desk.

Lady Melissa exited her room, making sure to close the door before leaving.

She walked by the numerous stairs the Shayla estate had before finally finding the person she needed to.

"Just the person I was looking for."

Lady Melissa said.

"Is there something you need, Lady Melissa? And Good Evening."

Derrick said, quickly giving her a bow.

"I need you to send this letter for me to the Mendora estate."

Lady Melissa ordered Derrick.

She then handed him the letter in question.

"Alright, Lady Melissa, I shall send it to the Mendora estate right this instant."

Just as Lady Melissa was about to reply, Derrick had suddenly disappeared from her sight to deliver her letter probably.

Lady Melissa dragged her feet back into her room, reaching there after a few minutes.

'I want to sleep a lot tonight.'

Lady Melissa thought to herself, eager for a good night's sleep.

Then an idea had come to Lady Melissa's head. She ran back downstairs and into the dining room to where her parents were.

"A-ah."

Lady Melissa mumbled under her breath, and she didn't have a lot of energy to run.

"Good evening dearie, what is it that you need?"

The Duchess greeted her daughter.

"Good evening, mother and father. Would it be possible for you to cancel my tuitions tomorrow?"

Lady Melissa said, her face filled with hope.

"Well...."

The Duchess trailed off.

"I'll consider it, though I can't completely promise you that the lessons will be cancelled."

"I'll convince her."

The Duke mouthed to Lady Melissa, and almost immediately, Lady Melissa started to celebrate.

"Yipeee!"

Lady Melissa celebrated.

"Though for what reason do you want to cancel your lessons tomorrow, Melissa? Do you perhaps need a break?"

The Duchess asked, concerned for Lady Melissa's well being and mental health.

"Oh, nothing much. I just had a long day today, and all the social interaction from the tea party had worn me out."

Lady Melissa said, awkwardly laughing.

"Oh, is that so?"

Her mother responded interested in Lady Melissa's day.

Lady Melissa, not wanting to tell her mother about the incident today, quickly ended the conversation.

"Goodbye, Mother and Father. I shall excuse myself now, goodnight."

Lady Melissa said, bowing her head down.
