Chapter 43 - Chapter 42

"Did you say something?" Sin turned to look at the tall and hideous man with buck teeth who was now standing behind him.

"Those bottles are mine..."

Whatever he was about to say was cut short when a Dagger slashed his neck and decapitated him at a blinding speed.

Sin lightly pushed the body away, making it fall backwards so that the blood would not stain his clothes. And then he glanced at all the Pirates in the room.

"Close the door, Bepo." He coldly said, and the old man at the counter fearfully dropped on his ass, shaking as he stared at Sin's cold expression.

The Pirates too were shaking, and before they could react to what had just happened, they all felt a wave of dizziness hit them.

Sin utilised his lighting powers, and disappeared from his spot, only appearing again after exactly three seconds.

"He must be worth some handsome Berries. You can cash his head."

The old man subconsciously nodded his head and felt relieved when Sin left after picking up the crates of the bottles he had just purchased.

Mustering up some courage, the old bartender stood up, but the sight he witnessed made him feel colder than he had ever felt in his life.

There, in his bar, the seats were all occupied with headless corpses. And when the pungent smell of blood finally hit him, making him dizzy, he collapsed on the ground, praying for all of this to be a dream.

A few minutes after Sin left the bar, someone curiously opened the door to look inside, and the people in the street were taken aback when the man plopped on his ass and tried to crawl away, shaken and pale in fear at what he found inside the bar.

"He killed them all... he killed them all..."

People heard him speak before they too checked the bar, and soon screams rose in the street.

Bepo was obediently carrying the crates and keeping silent. He was shaken too by what he had just witnessed, but he knew Sin, and he knew that he must have only acted because those people wanted to kill them too. He had also seen the hideous man reaching for his blade when he was answering Sin, so, they only got what they asked for.

They reached the docks and put the crates on their boat right in front of everyone, and then they turned around and walked back into the town without a care.

It was right there for people to steal, and one foolish drunkard could not help and approach the boat.

A few more were about to walk over too when they heard a sudden gunshot from afar and the drunkard fell on the ground, now dead with a hole between his eyebrows.

The people gulped in fear as they looked in the direction of Black Pearl, and then they hurriedly dispersed from the place.

No one even dared to hold any intentions toward the bottles of booze, and they were even more relieved that they had not stepped forward when they learned what the Devil did inside a bar.

It only took half an hour for the entire town to learn what happened, and most of the people who held any ill intentions towards the Blackstar Crew decided to drop their plans.

However, those who were bold and brave, and confident in their ability, only hardened their resolve to take down this rising Rookie Crew, which would propel them to the fame that they yearned for.

"Sin!" Bonney called out to him and pouted when they met at an intersection. "You started on fun without me!" She accusingly spoke, and he could not help but smile at her.

"How could I? The real fun will start in a while." He gestured with his eyes, and Bonney caught the individuals on the street who were keeping an eye on them.

"We have finished shopping for clothes." The pinkette informed him and then grabbed Nami and Nojiko before walking towards the Dock. "We will drop the bags on the ship and return for lunch." She told him before taking Hachi with them.

This left Sin, Robin, Hancock, Bepo, and Kuina to talk about their plan for Boka and his Hard-Hard Fruit.

"Let's go." Sin walked off towards the western side of the Town, which was connected to the forest, and the Blackstar Crew followed him silently.

It was not until they entered the forest and got away from anyone's hearing range that they discussed their plan.

"Hard-Hard Fruit is an apple," Robin said, and Sin sighed.

This was going to be hard.

"It is a Summer Island, so there would be apples everywhere." Kuina frowned when she watched him sigh and curiously spoke.

"Yes. This means it could be anywhere on the Island if Boka dies here." Hancock replied to her. "Also, common fruits like apples are found on almost all Islands, and the Devil Fruit's chances of spawning nearby are never 100%. It could spawn on some nearby Island too if there exists a better quality of apples."

"Oh..." Kuina finally understood what it meant. "It could take us months to find it."

"Yes." Sin nodded and then thoughtfully narrowed his eyes.

"We need to find an Autumn Island where the best variety of apples exists. It would increase the chances of it spawning there." Robin spoke what he was thinking, and he nodded to her words.

"So we are kidnapping him?" Bepo folded his arms and asked.

"Yes." Robin nodded her head and then turned to look in the direction they came from.

Soon the five of them were surrounded by two different Pirate Crews, and these people were not Rookies but old guns in this part of the world.

"Soldier Boy Hector, 125,000,000 Million Berries. Captain of the Soldier Pirates." Robin spoke when a tall middle-aged man of dark skin stepped forward wearing a green bandana, white vest, and camo pants. In fact, everyone in his crew was wearing camo pants. And then she looked at the other man who was laughing as he looked at the five of them. "The Maniac Hobbo, 140,000,000 Million Berries. Captain of the Savage Pirates."

He was a lithe and bearded man with a wheaty complexion and a sinister look in his eyes. And his grin was quite ugly, all thanks to his nearly black teeth and a vertical scar on his lips.

"You know me." Hobbo laughed some more. "I will tell you more about myself later in bed. But that depends on whether you would surrender or die with your brother." And without waiting for anyone to respond to him, he signalled to his crew to attack.

The signal was followed by Soldier Pirates too, and their Captain suddenly became more Muscular as he rushed at Sin.

The change, of course, surprised them, and it made them curious too. However, Sin paid no attention to Hector and only kept his eyes on Hobbo.

"Die!" Hobbo grinned when he suddenly jumped in the air and started performing a series of acrobatics, which resulted in the formation of wind blades that shot at them.

And to top things off, he used his claws to Slash in their direction, resulting in ten more Wind Blades heading their way.

Kuin immediately drew her sword and started cutting the Wind Blades that targeted her, and Bepo utilised his Armament Haki to counter the Blades and save himself.

Those Blades that they dodged ended up striking the trees around them, cutting them cleanly.

"Ahahaha! How is it? The power of my Slash Slash Fruit?" Hobbo laughed, but soon his eyes narrowed and then widened in shock when he saw Sin, Robin, and Hancock staying their ground.

He could promise that he saw his Wind Blades dissect the three of them, but then he was utterly horrified when he saw Soldier Boy punch and go right through Sin, which was soon followed by his scream as his body received electric shocks.

"Bepo, deal with this guy!" Hancock spoke as she kicked Hector towards the Bear-Mink, who smirked and prepared himself to beat the life out of this muscle-head.

"Slash Slash Fruit?" Sin dangerously smiled as he looked at the bearded man who suddenly lost all his confidence.

"Throw them!" Hobbo suddenly called out, and his men, who were surrounding Sin and his crew, suddenly threw dozens of water bottles in the air.

The action made them all narrow their eyes, and they immediately understood what Hobbo was planning.

These bottles contained Sea-Water, and when Hobbo sent dozens of Wind Blades that cut those bottles cleanly, the water came crashing down on them.

Sin was not in the mood to humour Hobbo and his stupid plans, and he immediately charged at the Pirates around them, paralysing and frying them up with his electric shocks as he passed right through them.

And then he came face to face with Hobbo, whose breath stunk as if he had some dead dogs in his mouth.

Without saying anything, he grabbed the man's throat, and then made him bathe in his lightning.

Hobbo could not even scream, and all he felt was excruciating pain and burn, that only intensified as the lighting kept pouring into his body. Within a few seconds, he started melting, and soon nothing remained of him.

Robin and Hanock had already started killing the paralysed Pirates, and in a matter of a minute, only Hector remained, who was engaged with Bepo in a heated battle.

Just like Sin, they too were not in the mood to humour Hobbo's plan.

Dousing a Devil Fruit user in Sea-Water could work against someone weak, but it was never going to work against the three of them.

All Robin did was use her Frostflame to freeze all the water, and then she rushed forward with Hancock to finish things up.

"What's wrong with him? Why does he keep getting faster and stronger?" Kuina frowned as she looked at Bepo and Hector fighting against each other.

She thought that Bepo would easily deal with the Soldier Boy, but it was not how things were progressing. Bepo was not having an easy time.

"He seems to be able to manipulate his muscles." Robin narrowed her eyes.

"Probably a Devil Fruit." Hancock guessed and the younger Black nodded her head.

"It should be Muscle Muscle Fruit, which allows the user to manipulate muscle fibre in their body to gain a boost in strength, speed, and durability." She smiled when she saw their Bear-Mink lose his patience and resort to his Mink-Arts.

"Go to hell!" Bepo shouted as he rushed at Hector, generating electricity from his body and gaining speed.

The fight continued for several more minutes, but Hector was now on the verge of collapsing. Bepo, on the other hand, only grew more ruthless over their fight.

He was quite agitated that Hector managed to resist his Electro for so long, but when he landed his final blow that knocked the man out, he started laughing happily.

"Kill him."

However, his laughter died when he heard his Captain's Order.

"Aye, Captain." He replied and then landed a cruel chop on Hector's neck, ending his life.
