He immediately asked me, "Do you like the new office?"
"It's alright. It's just a place to work in."
"Oh, yes. But you still have to like it."
I could sense that he was a little nervous, and he didn't seem to know what else to say. "Then I'll get back to work." I decided to end the conversation quickly.
"Hold on." He stopped me. "You have to work late tonight, right?"
"I guess so. I don't think I'll sleep well for the next two weeks."
"I'm working late too. Shall we have dinner together tonight?"
I refused without even considering the option. "If everyone is going to work late and I spend a few hours eating dinner, my reputation is going to suffer."
"No, no, no. It's not that kind of dinner. I know you're serious about work. It's just a quick dinner."
