After dessert, Elvin walked me back to my dorm. To avoid causing a commotion, we only took a secluded path.
Before leaving, Elvin ruffled my hair again. "Little one, I can't help you with the rest. I hope you can face it yourself and grow up."
I nodded vigorously, my eyes beginning to glow faintly.
It had been a long time since anyone had made me feel so secure and safe since my grandfather had left. Elvin was like a lamp placed before me, illuminating the darkness and chasing away the loneliness.
However, there was another voice in my heart that was clamoring. Elvin was a vampire of noble ranking. He only felt sympathy for me!
At this thought, my eyes dimmed as I returned to my dorm.
Because of our previous argument, Georgina moved out of the dorm. I didn't have a new roommate, so I was finally able to get some peace and sleep.
The next day, I finally officially started class.
