Chapter 13 - The Banquet

After passing through the colorful rose garden, the end of the trail was the ancient castle I saw earlier.

The ancient castle built in the last century was very majestic. It had the size of two teaching buildings and was built with huge rocks. It looked like a solemn, old man, looking at the visitors with great deterrence.

Every window of the castle was made of exquisitely carved glazed glass. There was a fountain outside the door, and in the fountain stood a strange sculpture with fangs and ears and a pair of bat wings spread out on its back. Although it looked a little scary, the sculpture was really exquisite. Anyone who stood in front of it would be afraid that it would suddenly come to life.

The servants were already waiting at the front door, bowing very respectfully to Yvette. Then they pulled open the quaint, ornate door. Inside was a brightly lit passage with expensive Persian rugs on the floor. Every step felt like walking on soft cashmere.
