Beep beep beep beep

That was the sound of an alarm that is violently piercing through a young woman's ears but she kept snoozing it.

"Dessaaaaasa!!!!!!" A screeching voice call out to the young woman, making her start panicking.

She tumbled down her bed.

Rolling back and forth looking for her alarm clock.

Bangggg!

And suddenly her bedroom door swings open leaving a loud tad.

"Dessa! You're going to be late!!!" A woman looking so young yet has an authoritative voice.

A sleepy eyes of the young woman is now wide and open.

She stood up in no time.

"Yes mom!!! Getting ready now!" She answered while standing in attention dropping her blanket down on the floor.

Making her tank taps fall down her arm, exposing a little bit of her chest.

The woman with authoritative voice click her tongue, clucking and started walking towards the sleepy young woman, fixing her sleeves back up to make sure nothing lewd is showing.

"My love… you need to be careful. You are a grown woman on few more months you will be at the age of eighteen. Many young man will start eye-ing on you." She patted her daughter's hair and walk towards the door to give her daughter some privacy. "Go get ready, breakfast is waiting for you. I'll see you tonight when I get off work okay?" She said before leaving.

The young woman smiled.

"Yes mom. I love you!" The young woman said before she hurried and get her school uniform on and getting ready for the day.

She hurriedly put her long straight light brown hair in a bun.

Put her pleated white school uniform skirt on, buttoned up her collared sailor white tops and finishes up with her checkered white and green neck tie.

"My name is Desiree Del Carmen and that woman is my mother. We live very normal life thanks to my mom's hard working and loving attitude towards our lives. She is a very humble grocery cashier in the morning and she's an entertainer at night. I told her I can start working after school but she didn't let me. She thinks that going to school and excelling in my academics is the best way to make her happy. I do my best to get medals and trophies for her and she always have that priceless smile on her face. And that makes my heart warm." She starts talking in her head while getting ready and checking her complexion in the mirror before going out of her bedroom.

Desiree ate her breakfast as fast as she could and washed her dishes. After that she started running towards the school.

Everything so far, was normal as her everyday life.

She ran as graceful as she could while carrying that careless smile she always wore on her face daily.

And then....

She accidentally trip on a random stone on the road.

"Woaaahhhh!!! Oh no!!!" She closed her eyes as she waited to hit the ground.

She waited and waited for that hard knock on the ground yet it felt so long before she finally slowly opened her eyes, peeking on what is going on around her.

Instead of hitting the ground she felt a warm touch of a perfectly toned arms, and that very arms caught her as she was losing her balance.

"Hey girl, you gotta be careful." A husky voice whispered on her ears speaking in English.

The moment she felt that warm wind coming from that stranger's lips in the back of her ears, she smiled nervously and stood up as soon as she could. Blushing.

A foreigner! She says in her head speaking her first language which is Tagalog.

"Thank you so much!" She vowed thankfully to him for saving her and not hitting herself to the ground, speaking in English as much as she could.

"Oh no problem." The man says while helping Desiree up and balancing her to make sure she won't leave any chance of falling to the ground.

The moment Desiree heard that words she immediately wave her hand goodbye and run towards the school again.

"Such a cute guy! Too bad he speaks English hehe.." she says giggling her hearts out.

As she rans to her destination, she finally could see the school gate in the horizon.

"Oh look there she is!" One of Desiree's classmates saw her running, just merely missing the school guards closing the school gates.

"Hurry up Dessa! You will be late." Another classmate cheered her on as she is running against the school bell to start the first class of the day.

More kids are still outside of their rooms chatting.

Just waiting for the bell to ring to let them know it's time to get back in their designated classroom.

As Desiree is trying to squeeze herself in between the crowds to reach her class room she felt a hand pulled her out of the crowd.

It was fast.

Her lips were sealed before she can even speak any word.

Her mouth was trapped within another man's lips.

Then she heard loud noises from the outside.

Bang bang bang!

Bang bang bang!

Loud gun noises occupied outside the room as the man who pulled her into the classroom shoved her down to the ground making sure they are hidden away from windows and tuckered behind the cold cement wall dividing the outside of the room away from them.

That wall serves as the temporary shield from the gun shooting down everyone who were moving just outside.

"Ssshhh" the man finally let her lips free.

"What… what's… what's going on?" She whispered, her voice are croaking in fear.

Her body is trembling just from hearing the noise of the gun shooting close to them.

Then the students who were merrily chatting outside the hallways started falling to the ground one by one.

The cold cement floor started covering with fresh blood.

The wind reeks of metallic smell coming from the concentrated fresh blood seeping out of the warm bodies who were just alive a millisecond ago.

Even the kids inside the classroom was not saved from the gun shots. Many of them suffered some nonfatal gun injuries.

"I don't wanna die!" Desiree screamed out of fear and started clinging to the man that just saved her.

The man squeezed Desiree's body and occupied her lips with his lips once again.

Desiree closed her eyes into submission.

Her head was foggy.

Her body was frozen in fear.

Her hands were trembling.

This time Desiree didn't even struggle and just let the man kiss her to ease her fears and her tear streaked face was wiped away by the man's warm cheek rubbing to her skin every time they moved as the kiss deepened and become more personal.

"Just close your eyes, I'll let you know when it's okay to look again." The reassuring voice of the stranger who just pulled her out of the danger was enough to let Desiree feel comfort during that very fearful moment of her life. Although he speak in a foreign language that Desiree could barely understand, his melodic sing song voice was enough to calm her nerves into submission of letting her swayed into an ardent kisses.

Desiree nodded while tears started flowing down her cheeks.

"Don't worry, I'll protect you with my own life if I have to." The man peck a light kiss on Desiree's forehead as if to promise her gentle protection.

The noise from outside has been tamed.

All the gunshot is finally over.

The bodies that has fallen down on the floor are now finished.

Sometime after, some foot steps could be heard coming their way.

Then those foot steps stop right by the door where the man and Desiree are hiding.

The man who saved Desiree, covered the young woman's face and embracing her tightly as he could. As if reassuring her that she will be protected by his strong arms.

"Everyone's dead, retreat before the police comes over. She's probably dead by now." A voice from outside can be heard from where Desiree and the man is hiding.

"Roger that." Just like a hurricane, the rain came pouring down and then goes as soon as the damage is done.

The man start listening from outside, once he knows that the men with the deadly intent are all gone, he started peeking ever so slightly behind the door to find out if the strange men are really gone.

Once the coast is clear, he sighed.

"They're gone…" the man said.

Desiree's eyes opened with caution.

She started looking around her, only to see everyone either dead, half dead and badly injured.

Only her and then man were safe and untouched during that massacre.

Desiree suddenly pushed the man away from her and run to the corner to sit down in fetal position.

Her body were trembling with fear just realizing how dangerous the situation was.

Then she started sobbing loudly.

"I don't wanna die!!!" She screamed over and over again. Only her sobbing interluding with each words she screams.

"You'll be fine…" the man was shocked at how Desiree reacted.

He walk towards her to help her calm down.

Patted her head.

"There's blood everywhere… why did this happen to them!? Why!? Why!!" Desiree's eyes widen as the tears keep flowing down her cheeks.

She held the man on his shirt and started pounding on the man's chest.

The man caught her arms and pulled her into an embrace.

Showing some sympathy while his embrace gives her some sort of security, that she is protected.

"Everything will be fine now, I'll protect you no matter what." The man repeated the same words he had said earlier. She vaguely recognized some words from it, given it was spoken in a foreign language that is second to her natural communication.

Four men came in to their rescue.

"Ernest, how's the heiress!?" One of them asked.

The four men scopes the area to see that almost everyone is gone.

"You guys are late…" the man who saved Desiree turned his head to check who was speaking, only to see his comrades.

"We have to move along before the authorities gets here." Another person suggested.

The man who saved Desiree nodded in unison with everyone.

"Hey… can you stand up?" He asked Desiree as he stands up, pulling Desiree up with him.

As they were standing up, Desiree trembles and passes out of fear in the arms of the man who saved her.

"Hey!!!" The man's comrades panic a little bit as they saw Desiree passes out.

"Is she going to be okay?" Another one asked.

The man who saved Desiree peeks in her face and then nodded "She is fine, but her mental being is probably in big shock right now." He confirmed to everyone and he scoops Desiree into his arms.

"Leader, we have to get going before the media get a wind of what happened here." One of them says and they started walking out of the school very warily making sure nobody noticed them.

As they made it out enough to hide from the crowd, the police sirens started occupying the whole road to the school.

The man who saved Desiree started putting her inside their black car.

"You better be fine, I didn't risk my life like that for you to give us a scare like this." Ernest whispered as he is making sure that Desiree is safe and buckled into a car seatbelt.

"We're going." The driver said and started driving away with caution.

"This kind of event is too much for a seventeen years old like her… why are they so cruel to her?" The youngest one ask, as they are driving away from the school while he peeks out the window to check the school.

Ernest, the man who saved Desiree peek another look at Desiree's face as she sleeps away the trauma of the tragedy she barely escaped from.

"Everyone, our goal is to bring her back to her grandmother and make her into a real heiress that she should've been her entire life. We must protect her and educate her of who she really is." Ernest speaks as loud and clear as the sunrise. He gently tuck Desiree's hair behind her ears and patted her head as he look at her with such gentleness in his eyes.

That very day he first met her, he vowed to bring the young woman back to where she belongs.

No matter what cost, she will attain what she deserves while he stood by her side, serving her as the butler he was trained to be.
