I stared at the field that was in front of me, as I saw, and I watched as the 2nd stringers got off of the field, all at the exact same time too, as I saw that they all had their heads to the ground, all at the exact same time as well, which at first I had thought had been due to the fact that they had failed to get a Touchdown on the 3rd down play, as they had actually lost yardage none the less.
I realized after a few seconds how ever, that it was not the reason at all, all at the exact same time too, as it then all of the sudden came back to me, and it hit me, as to just what it was that had happened a few seconds ago. No one seemed to care at this point, as I knew that they all wanted go at this point, none the less.
I knew that the coach had thought that it would have taken less time than a normal game, due to the fact that it was only 10 drives, but in reality, it took a lot longer than a normal game. I knew as to why that was the case, all at the exact same time too, as I was not all too sude as to just how it was that our head coach had not taken this in to consideration at first, never the less, as I knew why it took so long.
It was due to the fact that it was almost like every single play was a stoppage, as after every play, we had to switch who was on the field, when in reality, in a normal game, it was not like that. Also the fact that Coach Strauss had to tell us each and every single play that we were going to do, after each down, that also took some time.
I looked at all of the scouts, all at the exact same time too, as I could tell that they too wanted to leave, as I had seen a few of them leave as it was already, which I was worried might be due to the fact that they felt like there was nothing for them to see, any longer, as I felt like I had not done good enough to impress the scouts, all at the exact same time too.
I knew that was not the case how ever, as it felt like the ball was thrown to me every single time that I was on the field, all at the exact same time as well, as it felt like there was nothing that the defense could do to stop me, all at the exact same time too. I had only had one play where I had not caught it either, but that was just due to a slight mis judgement between me and Cornell, as he had thought that I was going to stop, when in reality, I was gonna keep on going.
I knew that we would get over stuff like that as the season continued, so I was not all too worried about it. I could tell that Cornell was a great Quarterback, so I was fairly certain that this was going to be a great season for me, all at the exact same time too. I shivered at the thought of that, all at the exact same time too, as for some reason, some thing felt a bit cold right now.
I knew that it was not the wind, due to the fact that I knew that I knew that it was the summer, so it would not be cold, even if the wind were to blow right up on me, all at the exact same time as well. I felt like it was for a different reason, though I was not all too sure as to just what it was that it could be, as I shook my head, and I shook away those thoughts from my mind, all at the exact same time as well, never the less.
I got my mind instead, on the thoughts that simply had to do with the fact that I now all of the sudden began to start to hear the voice of Coach Strauss, as I remembered that he was right beside us, right at this very moment in time, all at the exact same time as well, as I breathed in quite a bit to my self, as I did my best to get my mind, and my focus off of the thoughts that I had been having before now, all at the exact same time too, which had to do with the fact that I felt quite a bit cold a few moments ago, none the less.
I blinked my eyes a few times, as I got my mind off of all of that, and I got my mind instead, on the fact that I knew that I had to go on ahead and listen to what it was that Coach Strauss had to say right now, as I knew that it had to do with the fact that he was going to be giving us our last, and final play call for the beginning of the season, and the end of this scrimmage, all at the exact same time as well.
I then all of the sudden turned my head over to Coach Strauss, all at once, as I saw that he had his fingers on the note pad that he had drawn down, or perhaps not, as I saw that he had it down on a tablet, as he more than likely had got those play calls from Madden, or some other coaches, all at the exact same time too, as I knew that Coach Strauss was not the best at making his own play calls, and the 1st stringers had done great in this scrimmage.
I shook my head how ever, as I shook away those thoughts from my head, all at once, as I just looked at Coach Strauss, all at the exact same time too, as I saw that he was staring down at the note bad, and he was showing us the play calls that we were doing right at this very moment in time any ways, as I then all of the sudden stared at his finger, as I began to start to listen as to just what it was that he even had to say to us all, all in the very first place any ways, none the less.
"Alright, Cornell, you are going to have 6 men guarding you on this play... Our tight end shall be doing that..." He said to Cornell, and also to the tight end, all at the exact same time too, as I saw him look over to the tight end, all at the exact same time too, to make sure that he had in fact heard as to just what it was that he had even said about him in the very first place any ways, never the less. I saw that the tight end blinked his eyes a few times, whilst at first, I had thought that he might be a bit upset that he was not going to have a chance to make a big play, on the last play of the game, but I then realize that it was not the case at all, as he seemed to be a little bit out of it right now, as it was clear that he was not in his zone right at this very moment in time. I breathed in quite a bit to my self, as I was a bit worried for Cornell on this play call, if that were in fact the case. I felt like the defense was gonna be the same way as the rest of us though, as I felt like it should be easy for me to get open, all at the exact same time too. I figured I might try to act like I had caught a really hard pass, to get the attention of the scouts, all at the exact same time too, though I felt like I should not be thinking too ahead right now, as I then shook my head, and I shook off all of those thoughts, all at once, as I then began to start to hear Coach Strauss, as he continued to talk to us, all at the exact same time too, as I got my attention on that, and I got my attention on to him, all at the exact same time as well, as I did just ad it was that I had done before now, which was the fact that I listened, and I paid attention to what it was that he had to say, and he had to show us. "The rest of the recievers, check your names, and those will be your routes... Cornell, make sure to keep your eyes on, Chamberlain! If hes any sort of open, you throw it to him! Do I make my self clear?"
He said it, as he spoke up quite a bit louder, all at the exact same time as well, at the end, as it was clear to me that he could tell that the offense was quite a bit out of it right at this very moment in time, as I could tell that it did in fact annoy him quite a bit, all at the exact same time as well, which I felt like I could not blame him for, as I felt like I would feel the same way too, if it did not seem like my team was listening as to just what it was that I had to say to them, as the coach, all at the exact same time as well.
Though, I felt like I would never be a coach, so I felt like I did not have to worry about that at all, all at the exact same time too, as I shook my head, and I shook away all of those thoughts from my mind, all at the exact same time too. Even if I felt like our Coaches were not the best at making play calls, I felt like I should not be talking, as I knew that I would not be doing any better.
I shook my head, as I then all of the sudden shook away those thoughts from my mind, all at the exact same time too, as I got my focus on the fact that I remembered that Coach Strauss had just spoken to us, to make sure that he had made him self clear to all of us, all at the exact same time as well, which I felt a bit bad for him, that he even had to do that, all at the exact same time too, never the less.
Though, I knew that I was one of the people who did not seem to be paying all too much attention how ever, so I felt like I really should not be talking too much to my self in my head right at this very moment in time as well, as I shook off all of those thoughts from my mind, all at the exact same time too, as I remembered what it was that he had said at the end once again, as it seemed like he might have meant it to Cornell as well, as he was the Quarterback after all.
I then all of the sudden turned my head over to Cornell, all at once, as I looked at the freshman Quarterback, right in to his eyes, to make sure that he had in fact been paying attention as to just what it was that our coach had just said to us in the very first place any ways. As I looked at him, I saw that very much to my own surprise, he was in fact paying full attention as to just what it was that the coach had said to us.
It was very much unlike me, as I felt like I could not be talking all too much right now. I knew that he too had said my name, as I knew that I should in fact be paying full attention right now, all at the exact same time as well, as I did just as it was that Cornell was doing right at this very moment in time, any ways, none the less, which was of course the fact that the both of us now had our eyes on Coach Strauss, all at the exact same time too.
I could tell that it had made Coach Strauss feel quite a bit better, all at the exact same time as well, which I was glad for, as I saw him all of the sudden nod to the both of us, all at the exact same time as well. It was clear that he was ready for us to go on ahead on to the field, and get this all over with, all at the exact same time as well.
Just before me and Cornell took the lead for the entire team how ever, I then all of the sudden heard a voice of a kid, all at the exact same time too, which seemed to get the attention of the entire team, on to him, as I saw that it was the exact same offensive line man that had spoken to all of us, not all too much longer ago, as I could tell that the kid did not seem to be all too happy right at this very moment in time as well, never the less.
It made every one stop, all at once, as we all had been just about ready to go on ahead on to the field, all at the exact same time too, for one last final play call, never the less. I breathed in quite a bit to my self, as I was quite a bit annoyed with the kid my self, if I was not going to lie, as I could tell that Coach Strauss was not all too happy right at this very moment in time either, as I saw him roll his eyes at the kid, all at once.
He did in fact nod back to the kid how ever, at the very least, to let the kids know that he was in fact paying attention as to just what it was that the kid even had to say to him in the very first place any ways, as I blinked my eyes a few times, as I still was not all too sure as to just what it was that was even going on right now, as I blinked my eyes a few times, and I did in fact do as to just what it was that Coach Strauss was doing right now, as I began to start to listen to what it was that the kid had to say, and to complain about, all at the exact same time too.
"We really have to go back on the field? We are way too tired for all of this... This took way longer than it should have..." He said to Coach Strauss, all at the exact same time too, as it was just as it was that I would have expected, as the kid was clearly complaining about the fact that he was going to have go back on to the field for one last play, all at the exact same time too.
It kind of annoyed me, not due to the fact that I was on the side of the kid, and I felt like I too was worn out, as I knew that he had a fair point. It was more the fact that it felt like I was on the side of Coach Strauss, as I could tell that Coach Strauss was on our side right now, and he too wanted to get all of this over with, never the less, as I knew that he had a family back at his home, that I was sure that he knew that he needed to go and take care of right at this very moment in time any ways. I knew Coach Strauss did not need this right now.
I squinted my eyes at the kid, as I could tell that the kid was not the smartest kid in the world either, as I saw that he was a transfer from another school, and he did not know a single one of us that were here right now. He didn't realize that yes, whilst a lot of us did in fact just want to get off of the field, there was also the fact that the kid was wasting far too much of our time right at this very moment in time any ways.
I just wanted to get this over with, like the rest of the team, at this point, as I was fairly certain that the scouts were not paying all too much attention right now any ways, for me to impress them, though I still felt like I wanted to go ahead and get this last and final touch down over with, so that I could go back home and get some good sleep, as I could see that my father was watching us from the stands right now, as I could tell that he was tired too.
I was tired for a much different reason how ever, as I knew that I had not got the best of sleep last night, as for one thing, I knew that I had stayed up late training, but also the other thing was of course the fact that I knew that I had been quite a bit worried about the fact that Kimberly was going to say no to me, about the fact that I knew that I was going to propose to her today.
Luckily enough, she had said yes, so there was nothing for me to worry about any more, at this point. But that still did not mean that I was not worried last night, as I knew that I had been rolling around in my sleep. I felt like the sooner that I was to get off of the field, and get back home, to get some sleep, the better it was for me, as I was quite a bit annoyed with this kid right now, as well as the fact that I was a bit upset with him right now, as well, never the less.
I let out quite a bit of a heavy sigh, all at once, as I got my mind, and I got my focus off of all of that how ever, instead, as I then all of the sudden, finally, heard the voice of Coach Strauss, as it seemed like he finally was going to speak back to the kid, as to just what it was that the kid had said to him in the very first place any ways, about the fact that he was complaining about having to go back on the field for one last final play of the scrimmage.
I blinked my eyes a few times, as I then all of the sudden turned my head over to Coach Strauss, all at once, as I looked at the Coach right in to his eyes, all at the exact same time too, before I shortly then after, saw him nod back to the kid once again, to let the kid know that he was about to speak back to the kid, all at the exact same time as well. I could tell that the kid was not all too amused with all of this, but he did not seem to realize that neither were the rest of us right now, as we simply just wanted to all go back home right at this very moment in time, too.
The kid blinked his eyes a few times, as I saw that he had his arms together, as it seemed like the kid was pouting like a toddler right now, as he in the end, thankfully never the less, nodded back to the coach, to let him know that he was in fact listening as to just what it was that Coach Strauss had to say back to him, as a little bit of a response, in the very first place any ways. I was glad for that, none the less, as I then did in fact finally begin to hear Coach Strauss start to speak back to the kid, all at the exact same time too, as I then began to listen as to just what it was that he even had to say to the kid in the very first place any ways.
"Look, you are just going back on to the field for one last play... So, the sooner the better... Let's just get this over with... I want to go back home as much as the rest of you..." He said back to the kid, with a complete, and serious look on his face, all at the exact same time too, as I could tell that he was being dead serious with the kid right now, as it was clear that he was making sure that the kid had heard as to just what it was that he had even said back to him in the very first place any ways.
I was glad that Coach Strauss had seemed to step up for him self finally, all at the exact same time too, as it felt like he kind of got abused a bit of the offensive coordinator, as he rarely got to call any sort of plays, and he was kind of treated like shit, all at the exact same time too. I almost wanted to crack a bit of a smile on my own face, all at the exact same time too, due to the fact that I was proud of Coach Strauss.
I did not how ever, as I felt like I just wanted to get this over with as soon as possible, as I felt like I was not all too happy with the current circumstances right at this very moment in time any ways, as I shook my head, and I shook off all of those thoughts from out of my mind, all at the exact same time as well, as I then all of the sudden saw that Coach Strauss nodded to all of the players that were in the huddle, right at this very moment in time any ways, to let us know that we needed to go on ahead and get on to the field, all at the exact same time too.
I blinked my eyes a few times, as I did in fact nod back to him, even though I knew that he was not paying me any sort of attention right now, as he had sort of mainly nodded to the entire team in general right now, to let us know that we needed to go ahead and get on to the field, all at the exact same time too, as I then nodded a bit to my self this time, as I saw that once again, just as we had been doing before of course, Cornell took the lead for all us, all at once, to go on ahead and get on to the field, all at the exact same time as well.
I breathed in quite a bit to my self, all at once, as I then did in fact begin to start to go on ahead with him, as I took the lead for the rest of the team that was behind us, right at this very moment in time any ways, as I looked at the fact that I had already seen that the defense was already on the field, and they were already lined up, as it was clear to me that they were waiting to go on ahead and get all of this started, all at the exact same time too.
I could tell that they too were exhausted, and that they just wanted to get this over with none the less. At least they did not have to worry about some kid complaining about the fact that they were tired, and they just wanted to get this over with, and just wanted to go on ahead back home. I shook my head, as I shook off all of those thoughts, all at once, as I felt like I should not be worried about this right now, any ways, none the less.
I got my mind, and I got my focus on the fact that I knew that I was about to have a play called, and I also knew that the ball was more than likely going to be thrown my way, as Coach Strauss had said, all at the exact same time as well, as I then shook my head, and I shook off all of those thoughts that I had been having before now, all at the exact same time as well.
I then all of the sudden began to start to get my self over to the spot that I knew that I needed to be at, all at the exact same time too, which was of course between the 2nd string receiver, and the offensive line, all at the exact same time too, as it was kind of like the first play that we had done, when the scrimmage had begun in the very first place any ways, though this time I was in the middle, and I was not on the far left side, right at this very moment in time any ways.
I knew that I needed to give it my all right now, as I knew that this was the last play, and that this was going to be over after all of this, all at the exact same time too, as I then all of the sudden nodded to my self, all at once, and I then turned my head over to where it was that Cornell was at, right at this very moment in time too, as I saw that the last offensive line man was now down to his spot that he should be in, all at the exact same time as well, as I then all of the sudden nodded to my self all at once, once again.
I saw that just like the 1st play, Cornell was looking at us, though this time he was in a shot gun set, and this was 4th and goal. I saw him look over to me, as he had a bit of a smile on his face, all at the exact same time too, as it was clear that he was enjoying it. I was not sure if it were the fact that he was enjoying the fact that we were playing a game that the both of us loved, or if it were due to the fact that we were causing quite a bit of drama right now.
I shook off all of those thoughts, all at once how ever, as I got my mind off of all of that, as I then all of the sudden saw Cornell nod to me, as it was clear that he was making sure that I was ready for this play right now, all at the exact same time too, as it was clear to me that he was about to throw it my way, never the less, all at the exact same time too, as I then nodded back to him, to let him know that I was ready to get this all over with, all at the exact same time too.
Once it was that I had seen him nod to me, he then looked away from me, as he got his eyes on the Center, all at the exact same time too, to get ready to snap the ball, never the less, as I breathed in quite a bit to my self, all at once, as I did my best to get my self ready for this, all at the exact same time too, as I stared with a bit of a blank look in my eyes, and on my face, as I saw that Cornell opened his mouth, as he then began to start to speak to the Center, all at once, as I did in fact begin to start to listen to just what it was that he say to him, all at the exact same time as well, none the less.
"Huh- huh- hike!" He yelled to the center, as the last thing that I saw was the ball fly up in to the air, over to Cornell. I then got my eyes, and my focus on to just what it was that was even going on right at this very moment in time any ways, which was the fact that I got my mind on the fact that I could already feel my self going forward right now, as I was already starting my route up, before I even had time to look over to where it was that I was going.
Luckily, I did not seem to run in to any body, though I was fairly close, all at the exact same time too, to the fact that I had nearly ran in to the corner back that was on me, all at the exact same time too, as I saw the kid move out of my way, before it was that I slammed in to the kid, all at the exact same time as well. I felt a bit bad for the kid, all at the exact same time too, but I kind of felt like I should use this to my advantage, all at the exact same time too, even if it was not going to happen in a real game, none the less.
I could tell that the kid was tired, and he was worn out, just like the rest of the time, never the less, as I could tell that I once again could use that to my advantage, all at once, as I then all of the sudden, all at once, once again began to start to turn in wards, to the middle of the field, all at the exact same time too, as I knew that there was no way at this point, that the corner back could catch up to me now, all at the exact same time too.
I blinked my eyes a few times, as I knew that at this point, all I had to do was avoid the path on a line backer, all at the exact same time too, as I saw that luckily, as far as it was that I could see right now, all at the exact same time too, which was the fact that I saw that there was sort of an open lane for me to go through, all at the exact same time too, as I then began to start to notice that I was going past the goal line, as I then all of the sudden knew as to just what it was that I should do next.
I then all of the sudden turned my head over to Cornell, to let him know that he needed to go on ahead and throw it to me, all at the exact same time as well, as I felt quite a bit of some excitement, all at the exact same time too, as to just what it was that was about to happen next, which was of course the fact that I knew that he should go on ahead and throw it to me, whilst I was still open right now.
As I looked over to Cornell, I saw that his eyes were not on me at all right now, as I saw that his eyes were behind me. I felt like I needed to go and get his attention, as I knew that this was not the play that Coach Strauss had drawn up for us in the very first place any ways, as I was quite a bit lost, and I was a bit confused as to just what it was that the kid was even doing right at this very moment in time, in the very first place any ways.
I then began to lift my hands up, to get his attention, but just as I did so, I then all of the sudden saw some thing from the corner of my eyes, moving over to me and blazing speeds, all at the exact same time too. I was a little bit lost by it at first, as I stopped my self from lifting my hands up, to get the attention of Cornell on to me, all at the exact same time too, as I felt like it might be a defender that was trying to intercept the lane that I had going.
As I turned my head over, I saw that it was a defender, and at first, I though that he was going to go and try to intercept it. I let out a bit of an annoyed sigh to my self, all at once, as I knew that Cornell could not throw it to me right at this very moment in time as well, none the less. I was about to stop my self in the middle of my route, all at once, until I noticed that the kid, and the player that was coming my way, did not have his eyes on Cornell, the Quarterback, at all right at this very moment in time as well.
No... The person that was coming after me, had his eyes on some thing much different than all of that, which had me a bit lost at first, until I then all of the sudden began to start to realize as to just what it was that was even going on right at this very moment in time any ways. It was clear to me that the kid was coming right after me, as he was going in for a head on collision to hit me, all at the exact same time as well, never the less.
I was just so shocked, I was not all too sure as to just what it was that I should do to stop it, all at the exact same time as well, as I kind of just seemed to accept my fate, all at once, as the kid then slammed right in to the bottom of my legs, taking me straight to the ground, all at the exact same time too, none the less.
I was quite a bit lost by it at first, as I hit the turf, and I hit the turf hard, as I was not all too sure as to just what it was for, all at the exact same time too. When I hit the ground, at first, I felt a lot of buzzing, as well as the fact that it seemed like I saw a lot of stars all around me, none the less. I still was not all too sure about all of it, if I was not going to lie to my self.
I watched the kid get off of me, all at once, as I was not all too sure as to just why it was that the kid had hit me, when the ball had not even been coming my way. Even though I still heard a lot of ringing, and even though I still saw stars all in my eyes, I then did in fact begin to start to yell, all at the exact same time too, to the kid that had just hit me.
"Hey man! What the hell!"
