Saera dined with Shisui the following morning, only to discover that he had meetings planned throughout the day. Since her marriage to Jin had provided an opportunity for the two families to share in each other's talents and wealth, he would be negotiating contracts and partnerships, reviewing assets and forming trade agreements. Saera knew Shisui enjoyed this sort of work, having seen the manic look in his eye when presented with a ledger full of numbers. She told him of the property Jin had purchased as they broke fast in the great hall, doing her best to accurately portray its worth.
"It's largely undeveloped, but the acreage is quite… large… as of now only the main building is ready, but there is a courtyard and garden, and lots of space for future projects…"
"I didn't know you'd decide to run a household," Shisui said, dipping noodles in a cold, sweet broth. "I think it's an excellent opportunity, though. You will have more freedom there."
