Joysaleen stood still as Celd started toward her, Subjugator pointed with threatening intent. "That's dangerous," she said, her hands scheming behind her back. "You don't wanna do that." She'd made a deal with the skyguards after getting captured by them, after all.
"I know I can't press the trigger," Celd said, getting closer. "But at least let me lessen the trouble for Lexnal." He stood right in front of her, pointing his weapon to her heart. "Good thing you're still cuffed—"
Joysaleen smiled slyly, swinging her hammer to his face, blood-soaked side first. "What do you think I was doing all this time?" The swing caught the skyguard off-guard, stamping a bloody cross on his left cheek before he jumped back.
He swiped a finger on his cheek and brought it to the front of his face. "Blood?" he said, confused. "Don't tell me this is part of your Etherskill…" The cross on his face lit with a glittery pink glow.
Joysaleen's smile deepened. "Bane Cross—"
