"Ok", John replied. He stood up from his bed and unlocked the room door and left the room.
He met Eleanor at the walkway and they started walking to Uncle Wang's room together. On the way, she asked,
" What was all that running about, you didn't even stop to answer me?", with an aggrieved look on her pretty little face.
As John obviously couldn't tell her about the system, he had to think of something else to say.
"We're here", she said. John looked up and was visibly relieved which ticked off Eleanor.
He had thought for a long while during the period of walking to Uncle Wang's room and he found out that he couldn't think of anything to say, but thankfully, he was there already.
As he was standing at the front of Uncle Wang's room, John adopted a sagely look, (which on his little face looked absolutely cute) with his two hands behind his back and his two eyes looking up at a non-existent sky, he said, "What immense concentration of spirit energy".
"What's with that adorable look on your face?", asked Eleanor with a blush on her face, she had to use all of her self control as an Elemental Acolyte practitioner, to stop herself from patting John's head and saying, " There… There… big sister is here, little brother, come and take some sweets".
As John looked at Eleanor's blushing face, he couldn't resist laughing maniacally in his head,
"One mature-face con conquered, watch out bro-cons, old man con and what other complexes are out there, this heavenly handsome man with a face that transcends all complexes is coming".
Somewhere no one could see in John's mind, even John, an emoji of someone palming a computer on the screen appeared. (A Comp-palm!!)
Poor John didn't know that Eleanor just thought of violating the ageism order.
Eleanor came back to her senses and remembered that John couldn't train, so what was with this with him sensing mana.
" How can you sense it?", she asked.
"Sense what?", asked John in confusion.
" The immense mana in the surroundings, not spirit energy". She was starting to think John was just bluffing.
"..."
"... So there truly is a concentration of something here", said John with a look of realization on his face.
'Shit!! Posturing gone wrong, but nonetheless I'll wing it shamelessly like a boss', he thought.
" So you were bluffing?", asked Eleanor.
"Of course", said John with a matter of fact look on his face.
Eleanor facepalmed.
'I was a fool for expecting more', she thought.
"Come to think of it, Eleanor we've been standing at this door for more than five minutes now, is Uncle Wang not In?" asked John.
"Eeep!", she exclaimed in shock. She knocked on the door.
"He's here, Uncle Wang". Then she waved goodbye and walked away.
" Come in", said Uncle Wang.
John opened the wooden door and entered the room.
This was John's first time in Uncle Wang's room and he was amazed by the simplicity of the room with only a bed and a table and two chairs by the left side of the wall and a couch by the right side of the wall.
Uncle Wang was sitting on the chair at the table's opposite end wearing a sleeping gown with glasses on the tip of his nose on his still mist-covered face, his two placed on the table in front of him.
When he saw John, he gestured for him to sit. John obliged.
"Apparently you've been healed already. I put you on two weeks of observation and I found you completely healed except for that display you put on earlier on outside", he said, shooting a sharp look at John.
John reminded of his earlier folly rubbed his reddened nose shamefully. Then he remembered Uncle Wang's earlier words.
" You were observing me? But I didn't see you anywhere near me", John asked confusedly.
"Since I'll be telling you about training and other things, let me give you one lesson about practitioners, a strong practitioner doesn't need to be anywhere near you to observe you, he could be somewhere else and know about your day to day activities", said Uncle Wang.
"You can ask any questions regarding training".
John finally remembered that he had a question that had been in his head since.
"What's a Demigod?"
Uncle Wang was shocked. It was like a 3 months child that had not even started crawling was asking his mother,
"When can I start running, Mama?"
But what could he do? He had to answer this curious child.
"It's the pinnacle of training for practitioners".
'Ok, I just have to train till I get to the Demigod realm, well with my system, it's not impossible'.
When Uncle Wang saw that John was silent, he asked,
"No more questions?"
John nodded.
(It's time for the info dump).
"Every practitioner is born with either an elemental affinity or the ability to sense mana, physical mana with a natal weapon, or in more extreme cases with neither of the three. To begin training, the soul space must be unlocked, when the soul space is unlocked, your elemental affinity will be manifested there in the form of a locked elemental dam with partitions representing the various levels of training. To advance in training, you must break down the partitions. These particular group of people are called Elementalists.
For the ones with the ability to sense mana, their mana core will also manifest in their soul space, the mana core is where mana absorbed from the surroundings is stored in. They release the mana through the use of special devices called spells. These group of people are called Sorcerers.
For the ones born with natal weapons, they make use of mana which they utilize from the combat core. Unlike Sorcerers, mana manifests directly from special veins in their bodies called mana veins. Most times their mana takes the element of the material their weapon is made from. These group of people are called Warriors", he said, seeing that John had no more questions.
" What about the last group of people, you forgot about them", said John.
Uncle Wang shook his head and replied,
"I didn't forget about them".
John was looked at him waiting for him to continue, but he got no reply.
Then Uncle Wang stood up from his seat and walked around the table until he got to John's back and asked him in a very serious voice,
"You should know that everything has an advantage or disadvantage. Of all these things I spoke of, all of them have their own disadvantages.
But I can tell you one that has no disadvantages. Young man, when you hear of Cultivation, What comes to mind?".
