"What do you mean Issy? What life do I have with Elizabeth? What nonsense are you spouting?", he said to me in a cold voice and it felt like the air between us had gotten colder.
I gave him a sad smile and said , "Don't you already have a child with Elizabeth? Wasn't she pregnant with your child five years ago?"
He went quiet at my words and my heart felt a pang. Even though I had been told about Elizabeth's pregnancy, yet I had still hoped that Joshua himself would deny it that he was the father, but seeing him go quiet, confirmed that he had indeed fathered her child, and that didn't feel nice, even after all this time.
Without waiting for him to speak, I said, "Joshua, please , don't take my children away from me. I won't ever come in between you and Elizabeth, and we can continue to live like how we've been living these past five years and..."
