Brandon looked at me and nodded shyly , but quickly hid his face behind his mom's apron , which amused me , but not his mom .
Erin said in a stern voice , "Brandon , what did mommy tell you regarding how to respond when someone asks you a question? "
The boy let go of her apron and looked at me briefly , and then at his mom , then looked at me and replied , "Hello aunt Issy . I'm doing fine , thank you ."
I smiled at his reply and said ,"Well, I'm so glad that you remember my name . Since your mom is busy right now , do you mind if you show me around your favourite spots here ? You see , I'm new to this place and I wish I could have someone to show me around..."
Before I could finish my sentence , he said , "But you have uncle Joshua . He can show you around too ."
I was glad that he was beginning to open up to me , and his mom had similar thoughts too , as she winked at me and left , without him noticing her absence .
