My mom nodded and we continued to cook, both of us, consumed in our own thoughts, when my dad walked in.
"Oh wow, it smells lovely in here. I love it when I come home to my two beautiful women, cooking for me", my dad said as he came in to the kitchen, which earned him a peck on his cheek from my mom.
He usually left the store under Percy's care whenever he came home for lunch, so I assumed he did that today as well.
"Lunch will be ready in about sometime. Meanwhile, why don't you get freshened up. Issy's friends, Joshua and Roy are here too", my mom said, and my dad looked at me, as if to ask me if I was okay with Joshua being in our house.
I smiled at him, and nodded as I said,"I'm okay with them coming to visit me as long as they don't end up killing each other."
I heard a chuckle coming from the kitchen door, and sure enough, Joshua was standing on the doorway and chuckling to my words.
