A few days had passed after meeting Erin's family and Sean, and I decided to go to office since Joshua had also decided to resume his work, since he was feeling much better.
All the projects that I had been working on were completed and I wanted to hand it to Zeke personally, and see how it all came together, but to my surprise, Zeke wasn't in office yet, so I went to meet TJ, who was like the second-in-command here.
"Hi TJ, isn't Zeke going to come in today? I tried his number, but I can't seem to reach him", I said and he looked up from his computer briefly before diverting his attention back to the screen, and replied,"Boss is out on a business trip. Most probably, he'll be back by next week."
I was surprised that Zeke had gone on a business trip and hadn't even mentioned about it to me.
But I couldn't blame him as I had spent the past few days with Joshua, and had not kept in touch with Zeke, not even about my work.
