Joshua had come down from his balcony as I went in, and holding my hand in his, he led me to the living room and said,"Everyone, meet my lovely fiancée, Issy Miller, soon to be Issy Williams."
I looked at the people in the living room, whose eyes were all glued to me, and looking at me like I was some sort of show piece.
"Umm, hi?",I said, as I waved my hand towards Sean Porter, Joshua's best friend, who I had already met and a young couple, who I did not recognize, and a young boy of about five years or so, who was probably their son.
"Hello Issy,congratulations on your engagement to this fine young man here", Sean winked at me, and I smiled at him and thanked him.
The woman turned to Sean and said,"You guys have met each other before?"
He grinned and replied childishly, "Yep, we have, after all, I'm his best friend."
