"Mom, how could you do that to me? You were supposed to be on my side and drive them away, not invite them for our town's charity buffet", I sighed out for the hundredth time that day.
We were in the kitchen, busy preparing the dinner, while the men, were busy watching the football match on TV.
What was it with men and sports that even Joshua and Roy seemed to get along over the football match they were watching.
"Issy, stop whining already. What are you worried about now? They're getting along well enough right?It's just one more day so take it easy",my mom said nonchalantly, and I could only sigh helplessly.
Knowing how I wasn't going to be able to change my mom's decision, I decided to go along with the flow of it, and didn't even try to bring up the topic anymore.
Soon the day of the buffet arrived, and I went to the buffet with my parents in their car, while Roy and Joshua both followed behind us, in their respective cars.
