"Mom",I spoke at last, and said,"Does it ever get easier? The pain of it all?"
My mom wiped her tears and said,"No, it doesn't. But you move on from it, in the hope and believe that your daughter is in a better place now, surrounded by a whole horde of angels, and watching over you."
I nodded and obediently took the soup, which she was now feeding me. Joshua, who was silently witnessing our conversation, spoke at last, saying,"I need to make a quick run, to go and get changed. I'll be back in sometime."
I didn't bother to reply, but my mom said,"Joshua, I'm here, you don't worry. Moreover, you need to go home and rest as well, so rest assured that we're here for Issy."
He nodded and after looking at me for sometime, left. I didn't know whether breaking off the engagement with him was the right or wrong thing to do, all it mattered was, he didn't trust me and instead chose to remain quiet when I needed him to.
