A familiar voice, yet brimming with worry and fear.
My head throbbed violently, making it hard for me to focus my mind. As I opened my heavy eyelids, my gaze met with Charlie's relieved expression. Her facial muscles loosened, and she looked at me with reddened eyes.
What happened to me?
As though reading my mind, Charlie explained, "Big sister, you are in our house right now. Someone almost kidnapped you today!"
Hearing her words, I could feel my nape ache a bit. Slowly, I regained my wits and recalled the previous incident. Suddenly, I felt cold inside.
