"Yale."
"Yeah!" She shouted as we both dropped our bags. She took her blades strapped on her thigh as I took out the ones I strapped to my waist.
"Do you sense anything?" I asked as we slowed down, rearing the house.
"Nothing. It might be a creature, it might just be people." She said as we took our positions on either side of the door trying to listen in.
"You cannot be serious." We heard a woman said, gasping. "Leave the child alone!"
"It is my decision to make." Alexis's voice came through as we both relaxed, putting our weapons away.
Yale began to fix herself up as I went to pick our bags and the gift bag, walking back to her.
"False alarm." She said, taking the gift bag from me, turning to the door and knocked on it. "That was a little close though."
"Yeah," I said, looking around the area, noticing a figure moving around in the corner of my eyes. Damn it. We are in trouble.
