Chapter 5 - Q&A

As I dried my eyes and stood back on my feet, I noticed I was standing in a different room. They had guards that looked so ancient and stairs that went up to what looked like a throne. On the throne was a man that looked like he was in his fifties or sixties. He had light brown skin, like my dad and me. He had few wrinkles, but the ones he did have were defined. His silver hair was pulled into a man bun and his beard flowed like a short lived waterfall. As I finished examining his appearance he cleared his throat.

"Ah hah! Princess Aliera, glad to finally meet you," he started.

"Who are you and how do you know my name?" I replied with a tremble in my voice.

"I am your grandfather of course! You must have a lot of questions. I will answer them all once I tell you the story of how we lost you."

"I'm listening," I said in confusion and interest.

"It all started when your mom was giving birth to you. It wasn't just any birth because you were apart of a prophecy. The prophecy told of you being the savior of the Inbetween. When you were being delivered there were flashing lights and the whole palace was shaking. The war was about to start again between the Underworld and the Inbetween. The prophecy told us that the only way to save us was to send you to Earth and wait until your 16th birthday to bring you here. On your 16th birthday is when you would gain full control over your powers. Your grandmother vowed to look over you and your father was already human, so we placed you with him. Now that you are here we can begin your training to take back our kingdom from the Underworld."

" Oh wow!!" I said surprisingly, " What powers do I have that you are saying I supposedly have because I am just as normal as my dad. I don't even know what is going on here, but I know this is not real." I then pinched myself to snap out of this dream.

He walked down the flight of stairs fast and grabbed my hand that I was pinching myself with and said, "That won't work because unlike the first time you came here, this isn't a dream. All what I have told you is true. Now, follow the hounds and they will show you to your room." When he said those words two hounds appeared and I followed them to a beautiful room. It was spacious and made for a princess, which I apparently was.
