(Open POV)
Basement lab of Fenton Works…
Danny walks in with Jared, looking at a book he's holding. He stops and lowers the book to talk to his dad, Jack, who is working on the Specter Speeder in the middle of the lab.
"Dad, can I ask you a question?" Danny asked.
"About the Specter Speeder?" Jack asked, turning around from working in the cockpit to wrap an arm around Danny. "Sure!"
Jack shoves Danny into the cockpit of the Specter Speeder, then sits down next to him.
"This little baby has state-of-the-art spirit plane exploration technology." Jack said, pointing at the dashboard. "And it's got a…" He presses a button. "…super-sized cup holder."
A large cup holder pops out of the dashboard.
"Is the cup holder for soda or for beer?" Jared asked, looking over at the Specter Speeder.
Maddie is coming down the basement stairs.
"It's for any drink." Jack said, happily.
Maddie stops near the end of the Specter Speeder.
"Jack, dear…" Maddie said, while Jack steps out of the Specter Speeder to stand next to her. "It's getting awfully late. Is there something that you might have forgotten today?"
"Uh…" Jack said, looking clueless.
"Something significant? Having to do with today's date of May 9th?" Maddie asked.
"She's right, it was your special day." Jared said, looking at the calendar on the wall.
There is a picture of Jack and Maddie on their wedding day pinned to May 9th, with arrows pointing to it and 'Happy Anniversary' written above it.
"9th, 9th, 9th. 9th!" Jack yelled, looking around cluelessly while trying to remember. "9th? Nope. Still not catching your drift."
"It was your wedding anniversary with the love of your life." Jared said, as Jack scratched his head.
"Jared's right, it was that. Oh well, I guess it just slipped your mind…" Maddie said, shaking her head and suddenly bursts out in anger. "…for the eighteenth year in a row!"
Maddie slams her fist down on the end of the Specter Speeder, causing it to start up and shift into drive with a surprised Danny still inside.
"Huh?" Danny asked, and the Speeder begins to fly forward. "Whoa!"
The Specter Speeder flies towards the Fenton Portal, which opens up.
"Whoa!" Danny said, closing his eyes in anticipation of impact.
The Specter Speeder flies through the portal and into the Ghost Zone.
Ghost Zone…
"Whooooooooa!" Danny said, at a loss for words.
The Specter Speeder flies further into the Ghost Zone as Danny looks around worriedly. A few ghosts swirl past the cockpit of the Speeder. Danny turns to look back at them, and the Specter Speeder approaches a large white ghost, Walker, that towers menacingly over it. Danny turns and screams when he notices Walker, and brings the Speeder to a stop.
"Trespassing in an unauthorized vehicle." Walker said, pointing at the Specter Speeder. "That's against the rules."
"Uh, sorry." Danny said, shaking his head. "I-I didn't know. I'm from...out of town."
"Ignorance of the law is no excuse for breaking it, punk. I see your face around here again…" Walker said, pointing at Danny. "…you and I are gonna have a problem."
"Y-Yes, sir." Danny said, saluting and smiling nervously.
Danny shifts the Specter Speeder into reverse and it zooms backwards as Walker dissipates.
Basement lab of Fenton Works…
The Specter Speeder flies all the way back and comes to a stop in its original spot in the basement lab, where Maddie is still yelling at Jack and Jared is busy snacking on some popcorn.
"Now get this into your head, Jack Fenton, there are some things more important than hunting ghosts!" Maddie yelled, hitting the back end of Specter Speeder again.
Maddie walks away and a shaking, scared Danny gets out the Specter Speeder to stand next to Jack.
"I know, I know. I'm just as freaked out by your mother's reaction as you and Jared are." Jack said, sadly.
Outside of Fenton Works…
A taxi pulls up to the curb, honking. Maddie walks out the front door towards it, pulling a suitcase behind her which Jack is hanging onto and dragging behind, trying to stop her to no avail.
"Maddie, please, don't go! I just have a little more work to do on the Specter Speeder, and then I'm done." Jack said, letting go of the suitcase.
"We discussed this, Jack, remember?" Maddie asked, in front of the open taxi door. "Visiting my sister? The divorce?" She gets in the taxi and rolls down the window. "There's a casserole in the freezer right next to the ectoplasmic residue samples!"
Maddie rolls up the window and the taxi drives away. Jack stands up and watches her go.
"Wait, wait, wait!" Jack yelled, and he starts running after the taxi "How will I know which is which?!"
Danny steps out of the front doorway and looks down the street.
"Divorce? What?!" Danny exclaimed, looking at Jazz and Jared walking out the door past him. "Jazz, Jared, did you just hear that?"
"Hear what? Mom yelling at Dad? Relax. She'll get over it." Jazz said, stopping and turning back to look at Danny.
"She really would. And I saw how life would be if she was with Vlad instead." Jared said, sipping on some coconut taro bubble tea. "That wasn't pretty."
"Yeah, but I-I have never heard her so mad." Danny said, sadly.
"Of course she's mad. And if I'm right, Dad will once again cluelessly do nothing to apologize to her." Jazz said.
"That's where you're wrong, Jasmine." Jack said, walking back up to Fenton Works. "I have been a little preoccupied…" Another taxi pulls up next to him. "…with ghosts lately." He is holding a suitcase. "So, I'm traveling to your Aunt Alicia's in Spittoon, Arkansas to apologize, and give your mother…" Jack opens the taxi door. "…the greatest anniversary gift ever."
Jack throws his suitcase into the taxi and it hits the driver in the face, causing him to take off down the street without Jack.
Jack gasps and turns around to start running after the taxi, "Wish me luck! Oh, and call me if you see a ghost!"
(Jared's POV)
Fenton Works…
"Jazz? Are Mom and Dad gonna split up?" Danny asked.
"I was...wrong?!" Jazz exclaimed, suddenly self-doubting.
"Jazz?" Danny asked, poking Jazz. "Jazz?!"
"Wait. He's going to Arkansas? To apologize? I was wrong?!"
Fentons' kitchen table…
It is covered with dozens of Jazz's books, journals, and notes. Jazz tosses aside one labelled, 'Jack Fenton Observations'. Jazz, looking frazzled, is shaking while holding a cup of coffee and looking at a stack of notes. I am busy sipping on the bubble tea that I made earlier today, and watching some shows on YouTube.
"I don't understand." Jazz said, talking quickly. "Every piece of evidence I have indicates Dad would never be self-aware enough to realize he made a mistake." She puts down her notes. "If I'm wrong about this, what else could I have been wrong about?"
"Jazz, you're going to be proven right someday. I promise." I said, walking over to Jazz. "I just know it."
"Thank you, Jared." Jazz said, hearing rattling in the living room, before she started yelling. "Danny, keep it down, would ya?!"
Living room…
Danny Phantom is vacuuming the wall in the living room, "Hey! I'm trying to make this place spotless so Mom will have a clean house to come home to."
Jazz rushes into the living room with me to yell at him. Danny lands behind her and turns human, wearing a suspicious smile.
"Well, I need to concentrate!" Jazz yelled, turning to Danny. "Ugh! I'll be at the library."
Jazz walks out.
The lab…
Danny goes ghost again and I go ghost and the two of us phase down into the lab to find it a mess while floating midair.
"My god, Danny. Jack sure keeps this place a mess." I said, floating down to the floor. "It's more messy than my bedroom back home."
"I dread to think how that looks." Danny said, floating down a bit. "If Mom comes back and sees the lab like this, she'll be even angrier at Dad."
Danny sighs and points a finger to shoot a small blast of ectoplasm at a pile of trash, which knocks it into a trash can.
"Gah." I said, while Danny smiles and shoots another pile of trash into another trash can. "You really have to do that?"
"I do." Danny said, starting to shoot blasts all over the lab to clean up and organize everything from beakers and boxes to chairs, books, and lab equipment.
Near the end, Danny accidentally blasts a present into the open Fenton Portal, which causes him to gasp. The tag is knocked off the present and left behind on the ground. Danny picks it up and reads it.
"'Let this gift repair the bridge to our love. Happy anniversary - Jack?!'" Danny exclaimed, reading what is on the label before staring at the Ghost Portal. "Oh, no."
(Open POV)
Airplane…
It is flying over a forest at night. Jack is sitting in it, along with several hillbilly farmers, one of which is holding a pig.
"Um, excuse me. Will we be landing soon?" Jack asked.
The copilot, a female hillbilly with braids, looks back to answer him.
"Shoot, honey, there ain't no airport in Spittoon." The flight attendant said, throwing a parachute at Jack and pushes him out of the plane, then sticks her head out of the door. "Thank y'all for flying Air Grits!"
Jack screams and then deploys his parachute.
Alicia's cabin…
Alicia is chopping firewood with an ax outside her cabin, with Maddie standing nearby watching her.
"I been out here for nearly a decade, Maddie, and as you can see…" Alicia said, holding an ax with a serious expression. "I'm incredibly happy."
"I don't know, Alicia. Just because something works for you doesn't mean it works for everybody." Maddie said, letting out a sigh.
"You're an intelligent woman, Maddie - runs in the family." Alicia said, grabbing a pile of firewood and lifting it onto her shoulders. "You gonna spend the best years of your life being ignored by some fool who believes in ghosts?"
The two women suddenly hear a thump and a scream. They run towards the noise and peer around the edge of Alicia's cabin to see what it is.
"Ghost!" Maddie said, terrified.
They see a white parachute flailing around hanging from a tree. Maddie runs forward, takes out a small weapon, and uses it to zap the parachute with a green beam. Jack falls out of the parachute onto the ground, landing on his head. Alicia runs forward to stand by Maddie.
"Jack?!" Maddie exclaimed, running forward to Jack.
"I'll get the antiseptic." Alicia said, sighing and walked away.
(Jared's POV)
Casper High…
Danny, Sam, Tucker, and I are walking down a hallway of Casper High.
"You should've seen 'em fighting. My folks never fight. Well, they fight ghosts, but...that's different." Danny said.
"Danny, relax. Nobody gets divorced over not getting a gift." Sam said, putting a hand on Danny's shoulder.
"But it's the thing my dad's gonna use to apologize! They're...right on the brink! I'm telling ya, anything could set them over the edge."
"Danny, you're fine. I mean, it's not like your mom actually said the word 'divorce'. I mean, if she actually said the word, then you'd have to worry." Tucker said, happily.
"Said the word." Danny said, as he stopped walking. "Oh, man. She did!" He began screaming. "She said the word!"
"Tucker, Jared, say something to calm him down!" Sam said, worried.
"Danny, did your mom say it twice?" I asked, looking at Danny.
"That settles it. I'm going into the Ghost Zone and get that present back." Danny said, walking away from me, Sam, and Tucker.
(Open POV)
Alicia's cabin…
At the front porch of Alicia's cabin, Maddie is looking out at the woods, and Jack and Alicia are sitting on rocking chairs. Jack is drinking lemonade and Alicia is whittling a stick with a knife.
"Well…" Alicia said.
"Well what?" Jack asked.
"You've been sitting here sipping lemonade for an hour! If you're gonna apologize to my sister…" Alicia said, before she started yelling. "I suggest you start apologizing!"
"I…" Jack said, looking at Maddie when his stomach rumbles and he clutches it. "Hold that thought!"
Jack goes to open the front door with a panicked look.
"Ain't no bathroom in there." Alicia said, and Jack starts to walk towards the edge of the porch with his arms crossed. "Ain't no outhouse out there!"
Jack looks around with a worried grimace and spots some bushes out in the woods. He walks away towards them.
"You know, in his own way, he really is trying." Maddie said, frowning.
Jack is walking behind the bushes.
"I don't understand why you think you need him, Maddie. Look at me! Been single ten years, and I'm a calm, sensible, independent woman and…" Alicia said, hearing a twig snap and she looks out towards woods and waves a stick around angrily. "Hey! Don't you whiz on that, Jack Fenton! That's rhubarb!" She returns to a calm demeanor. "…I've never been happier."
(Jared's POV)
Fenton Works lab…
Danny Phantom is standing in front of the portal with a Gekota walkie talkie that has webcam capabilities on his shirt. Sam and I are standing next to him, and Tucker is off to the side.
"I so don't want to do this." Danny said, letting out a sigh.
"Danny, it's easy." I said, smiling. "This has to be you. They're your family, not mine. And it's better than reading about ghost laws."
"Ghost laws? That's a thing?" Sam asked, looking over at me.
"Yeah. It is. Someone I know used that to their advantage in a parallel world."
"That makes sense. I think." Sam said, sadly. "Danny, you get in, get the present, and get out. You'll be fine."
"Besides, with this mini webcam, I'll be with you…" Tucker said, holding his PDA and showing himself on the Gekota walkie talkie. "…every step of the way. But first…"
"Of course you're playing a video game." I said, and Tucker started playing a video game on PDA. "We have more pressing matters to worry about."
"You two will monitor the webcam?" Danny asked, looking between Sam and I.
"Yup."
"Yeah. We will monitor the webcam." Sam said, grabbing my hand.
(Open POV)
Ghost Zone…
Danny flies through the portal into the Ghost Zone.
"Wow! This place is amazing!" Sam said, through the Gekota walkie talkie.
"No, it's not. It's creepy. And it goes on forever. I don't even know where to start to look!" Danny said, his eyes shift from upward to straight.
"You could start there." Jared said, through the Gekota walkie talkie.
There is a cluster of purple doors. Danny flies up toward one of them.
Room…
Inside, it's blue. The door opens, revealing Danny. There is a small kid watching something on a rug, with a ghostly blue glow reflected off him. There are a couple blocks on the floor with the letters X and Y on their faces. Danny is standing in the doorway, far behind the boy. Danny closes the door. The boy's eyes shift to Danny and back to whatever he was looking at.
"Uh…" Danny said, raising an arm with a weak chuckle. "…Hi!"
The boy from behind with Danny's boot in the foreground. The boy is watching static on TV, with three blocks around him. There are shadows cast on the boy and the blocks. There's also a lamp on the side that is plugged in.
"Have-have you seen a…" Danny said, moving his arms. "…present?" He looked over to the top right. "Um, about…" Danny moves his arms again to show size. "…about yea big?"
The boy is watching TV. It's the same as before, and Danny's boot is still there. The boy turns his head left. He is frowning now. The TV continues to play static as the boy turns his head the rest of the way to face Danny without turning his body. The boy is still in front of the TV. His body is still sitting in the same position, Indian-style, but his head is facing the back of the room. The boy snarls loudly, lifting his arms in downward-90 degree angles.
The side of the room is big and empty, with the boy on one side and Danny on the other, with a huge space in between. There's also a gap between Danny and the door.
"Get…" The boy ghost said, standing up and taking a fighting stance. "…out…" The boy transforms into a purple, spiny beast with red eyes and his voice becomes more coarse. "...of…" He grows larger, to match size with Danny. "...my…" The boy is now the size of the room and is roaring in a deep voice and his arms are over Danny. "…ROOM!"
As the beast talks, Danny is standing his ground but his hair and face are blown back due to air resistance. The beast now puts down his arm and roars loudly.
Danny is looking up at the beast's leg with mouth gaping wide.
"Sorry…" Danny said, while his eyes get wider. "Sorry! Wah!"
Danny rushes off in a puff of smoke.
Ghost Zone…
There are many purple doors floating in a cluster. Danny comes out of one of them, shuts the door, and stands back-to-the-door in terror.
"Oh, man." Danny said, while the door seems to drift downward. "Every one of these doors goes into another ghost's lair?! I'm never gonna find that present. My folks are gonna get divorced and it's gonna be all my fault."
Danny is still with his back to the door, clutching it with his hands. The door is drifting downward. It lands in some dark forest with some tombstones. Danny jumps off the door before it reaches the ground. He gasps quietly as his head turns to face the ground in front of him. Cut to the ground. There are a few tombstones in the dirt. They begin to rattle as some wailing is heard. Some glowing green skeletons pop out of the dirt. Danny looked in fear at the skeletons, with more of them popping up out of the ground, some arms about to grab him.
"Danny, calm down." Jared said, his voice coming out of the Gekota walkie talkie. "Stop yelling."
Danny flies away screaming, sliding over the door behind him, which tips over. The door sinks away as Danny is flying upward, looking at the ground, turning around and facing forward.
"Jared's right. Relax, Danny." Sam said, her voice coming out of the Gekota walkie talkie.
Danny starts to perspire.
"We all just have to stay focused." Sam said her voice coming out of the Gekota walkie talkie.
Fenton Works lab…
Sam is in the lab with Jared, holding the PDA.
"Right, Tucker?" Sam asked, looking to the right. "Tucker?"
"Shit…" Jared said, looking over at the Specter Speeder. The door is open overhead. "Tuck! What are you doing?"
(Jared's POV)
Specter Speeder…
I ran into the Specter Speeder to see Tucker in the cockpit, crouched over, looking at the dashboard.
"I can't believe Danny didn't want to take…" Tucker said, with me looking at him. "…the Specter Speeder." He presses the dashboard, which beeps. "This thing rocks!"
Tucker continues to press buttons on the dashboard and play with the stick control. I looked out of the window to see Sam walk up next to the domed windshield of the speeder, holding the PDA.
"Tucker, Danny doesn't need our help." I said, sipping on the bubble tea.
"Yeah. He can cover more ground on his own." Sam said.
"He really can, Tuck." I said, looking over at Tucker in the cockpit.
"But it's got a cup holder!" Tucker yelled, pressing a button for the cup holder to eject with a whirring sound.
"So?" I asked, as Sam's face and my face looked down at Tucker's. "It's only a cupholder."
"A big, really big cup holder. Hey, what's this thing do?" Tucker asked, looking at the dashboard where there is a red button inside a picture of a green, shapeless ghost.
Tucker's finger comes up to push it. Tucker, Sam, and I are in the cockpit, Sam and I are over Tucker, not sitting down.
"Real World items detected." A computer voice said.
As this is said, a green scope in the shape of a semicircle fans out. Tucker jumps back in his seat and I am sitting down on the floor, Sam is surprised.
"Okay. I forgot how good Fenton gear is sometimes." I said, looking over at Tucker. "We've got a scanner, baby. This is so cool!"
I then looked over at Sam, still sipping on my bubble tea.
"Real World items?" Sam asked.
(Open POV)
Ghost Zone…
Danny is in the back of the green tunnel and drifts forward.
"Danny, we can guide you to the present." Jared said, his voice coming out of the Gekota walkie talkie.
As Jared says this, Danny drifts away.
"There's a doorway coming up on your left. Take it." Sam said, her voice coming out of the Gekota walkie talkie.
A door is far away and getting closer. Danny is flying through the door, which opens up.
Room…
"Huh." Danny said, while he says this, he surveys the new room he ended up in.
The door he took is still open and behind Danny. The room is empty, save for a purple background. Danny and the open door are floating in mid-air along with numerous other objects surrounding them. They include a box, a toaster, briefcase, corded phone on hook, pencil, thermos, envelope, teddy bear, a bottle, a shirt, a single sock, another thermos, a basketball, a book, a suitcase, another envelope, lunchbox, another box, football, trumpet, a watch, a pen, a glass of liquid, a TV, another watch, another glass, another basketball, a washing machine, a lamp, a bottle of sports drink, and another box. Danny is floating with a watch, laptop, thermos, envelope, and a single sandal.
"So this is where all that stuff ends up." Danny said, scoffing.
"Yes!" The Box Ghost cheered, flying up from below to be behind Danny.
Floating in the room is a horn, a box, and a sock.
"It all ends up in the possession of…" The Box Ghost said, looking up and moving, clenching his arms in emphasis. "THE BOX GHOST!"
The Box Ghost is behind Danny still. Danny is floating at a distance. In the room, is a rolling luggage bag, a basketball, and a thermos.
"Ugh, what are you doing here?" Danny asked.
"I am The Box Ghost!" The Box Ghost yelled, thrusting backwards and points forward. "Where do you think we go…" He clenches his pointing hand into a fist. "…when you and your friend release us…" The Box Ghost moves his arms to show a cylinder with his hands. "…from your round, cylindrical trap?"
Danny looked over at a sock, a box, an envelope, and a cinder block floating behind him, "You mean the Fenton Thermos?"
The Box Ghost is floating in a cartoony purple background, throwing his arms back and thrusting forward.
"I am the Box Ghost!" The Box Ghost said, waving his arms.
The room dims back to a normal, shadowy purple.
"And beware! For I am merely…" The Box Ghost said, his face thrusts forward for emphasis. "…ONE…of…" His face changes back. "...your foes and your friend's foes who reside in this realm! In fact, you might say…" The Box Ghost comes closer to Danny. "...we're a package deal!"
The Box Ghost bends backwards, puts his arms in the air, and laughs.
Danny looked over at an envelope, watch, pen, glass, purse, and a basketball floating alongside him.
"Ugh. Look, I'm looking for something important…" Danny said, lifting his arms. "I don't have time for your box puns."
Danny clenches his fists. When he finishes his speech, sirens wail. Danny turns to the right to find the source of the sound.
The Box Ghost turned his head so it faces to the right. Danny is floating in the room with a pen, a glass, a TV, a lava lamp, two envelopes, a washing machine, a sock, a football, a paper cup, and the door he came in.
"Flee! Lest you be hermetically sealed…" The Box Ghost said, turning his head to Danny. "…and shipped to your doooom! It was smart that the Black Pearl didn't come!"
Danny hears lasers blasting. The Box Ghost turns his head left, floating with three boxes, an envelope, a glass, a basketball, a sock, a belt, a book, and a handbag. A green laser comes off in the room as The Box Ghost floats/runs to the right, showing Danny from behind and a sandal, a computer, a thermos, a laptop, and some obscured objects in the distance. Danny turns as The Box Ghost runs a few more feet and is shot by a laser, being restrained by a green force field, which suddenly transforms from around the waist and arms to handcuffs. The Box Ghost is looking at his restrained hands. He turns around to look at Danny.
"Hey, what's going on?" Danny asked.
Some more green lasers are zapping off in many directions. One of them hits Danny. He grunts in pain as the laser engulfs him and pushes him back. The room dims blank purple. Danny comes from the left and is thrown back with handcuffs on due to the force of the laser.
"Possession of unauthorized recording equipment." Walker said, slowly floating towards Danny.
Walker removes Danny's Gekota walkie talkie with a built in webcam.
"That's against the rules." Walker said.
Walker is holding the Gekota walkie talkie with the built in webcam, putting it down.
"Or at least it is now." Walker said.
Walker is holding an open book, which is green.
"Wait! This is all a big misunderstanding!" Danny said, worried.
Walker crouches over to talk in Danny's face. Floating with them are a dress, a box, a sock, a pen, a basketball, and an envelope, and a handbag.
"There may be chaos everywhere in this Ghost Zone, but there'll be order in my prison." Walker said, looking at Danny. "You should've heeded my warning, punk." Danny looked up at him. "Now you and I have a problem."
GZPD van…
Danny and The Box Ghost both have handcuffs on and are sitting on the bench. There are ectoplasm stains on the floor and wall.
"Great. My folks are splitting up, my sister's a basket case…" Danny said, turning to face the Box Ghost. "…and I'm going to ghost jail." He rolled his eyes in annoyance. "This may be the worst day of my life."
Danny's eyes shift to the left. He looks at the back door of the van. A police ghost holding a green pole opens the doors. The police ghost is still floating there, Danny and The Box Ghost are looking forward, still sitting tied up in the van. Danny stands up. Danny and The Box Ghost are both gaping in awe.
GZPD…
The Ghost Zone Police Department is a purple building. A police ghost is floating in front holding a green pole in both hands, there is a crowd of prisoners behind him. In the center is Skulker wearing a prisoner's outfit, on the right is Desiree and to the left is Technus in his robot body. They are also wearing prisoner's attire.
"Well, if it isn't one of the young whelps…" Skulker said, looking at Danny. "…who helped us get locked up in this stinking place!" Danny is at a loss for words looking at Skulker. "Welcome home."
"This is the worst day of my life." Danny said, sadly.
"I am the Box Ghost!" The Box Ghost yelled.
"Will you stop that!" Danny said, turning around, closing his eyes and yelling at the Box Ghost.
Skulker is cracking his knuckles.
Fenton Works lab…
The Specter Speeder is still there in the lab, and the portal is still open.
(Jared's POV)
Specter Speeder…
"Danny? Danny!" Tucker said, sitting down in the cockpit talking to his Gekota walkie talkie, Sam and JI are standing in the space behind him. "Talk to me!"
"Ugh. The Gekota walkie talkie went offline. It never goes offline." I said, looking up at the roof in annoyance. "Gah. It's a toy. It should have been undetectable."
Sam and I ran from behind Tucker to the side of Tucker, grasping the seats next to him.
"It's no use." Sam said, lifting her arm. "He can't hear us."
I looked over at Tucker and his PDA.
"Then we'll just have to…" Tucker said, putting down his PDA. "…go in after him!"
"Going after the person that has the gift the Railgun gave me." I said, looking between Tucker and Sam. "That's a bad idea."
"Jared's right. What are you, nuts?" Sam asked.
"Danny!" Jazz said, nearby, and Tucker turned to face the back. "Are you down there?" Tucker, Sam, and I get into our seats and crouch on our knees, facing the back and listening to Jazz. Jazz pokes her head out into the doorway. "Sam! Jared!" I closed my eyes, knowing Jazz is still there. "Hello? Anyone?" I know that Jazz is in the kitchen, opening a coral colored book, looking in it. "I was hoping someone would go over…" Jazz steps to the left. "…every excruciating detail of my personal diaries…" I know that Jazz is still in the kitchen. "…to look for minuscule errors." She looks to the left. Jazz puts down her book and walks to the left.
I opened my eyes to look at Sam's waist.
Sam is putting on her seat belt and puts her hands on the back of her seat and faces Tucker, whose hands are on the controls, "You drive."
"Yup. I drove the Fenton Family Ghost Assault Vehicle. You drive this, Tuck." I said, and Tucker thrust the control forward. "You got this."
The Specter Speeder starts up and blasts off into the Fenton Portal. Jazz is running downstairs smiling with her book in both hands, looking giddy. She stops as soon as she reaches the basement. Jazz looks around for signs of life.
"Hm. I thought I heard someone down here." Jazz said, putting her arm that isn't holding the book on her waist. "Oh no." She puts a finger to her chin, then lifts her arms and starts crying. "I was wrong again!"
(Open POV)
Ghost Zone prison….
A police ghost is slapping his green pole on his hand. On the prison campus and in on one of the buildings, something big is happening.
"Trespassing. Loitering." Walker said, looking at Danny sitting in a chair, in prison attire and his hands in shackles. The ghost walks by. "Creating a disturbance." The ghost warden walks to the right, holding the open book in his hands, reading it. He stops and turns around, pointing a finger into the book. "And, possession of real-world contraband."
As Walker says this, Danny up as the present floats above his head from the left to the right.
Danny tries to reach the present, with sounds of struggling, but the shackles prevent him from doing so, "Excuse me, sir, but-but…"
Walker grabs Danny by the shirt.
"Name's Walker, son. Know it. Fear it." Walker said, looking at Danny. "Obey it. I am your…" He is holding up Danny by his shirt so the skin under is showing. "…judge…" He gets closer to Danny. "…executioner…" Walker is still looking at Danny. "…jury…" He is still holding Danny up. "…executioner, jailer…" Walker looks at Danny. "…and, if necessary…" He lowers Danny. "…your executioner."
"Uh, you said 'executioner' three times." Danny said, sadly.
Walker is holding Danny in one hand and his book in the other. The present is floating behind him.
"I like that part of the job." Walker said, letting Danny drop to his seat and turn to the front.
Danny looks to the right and smiles at the present. The present is floating and glowing, with the tag on. It is behind Walker, who is reading the book.
"Well, you see, uh, Mr. Walker, uh, the truth is…" Danny said, turning to Walker and grabbing his chair. "…I-I'm actually trying…" He walks off with the chair. "…to remove…" Danny is walking with his chair to get closer to the present, Walker is turned the other way on the other side. "…the contraband. So, um, if I could just…" He looked up at the present. "…grab it and go…" Danny chuckles nervously and stands up to grab the present. "I'll promise I'll…"
Walker runs over from the side and pushes Danny's seat down with his leg. The chair falls to the floor. Walker sets his hand on it.
"I'd like to let you go, son…" Walker said, crouching down next to Danny. "…but I can't." He stands upright, turning around to look in the book again. "That'd be against the rules." Walker looks in the rule book and Danny looks to the side. "But seeing how this…" He turns to Danny. "…is a first offense…" Walker is walking forward. Danny is sitting behind him. "…I'm willing to be lenient." Walker closes the book and turns around and points his finger at Danny, shouting loudly, before shouting again. "1,000 years!"
Danny has a shocked face.
Spittoon…
Jack running on a path past a stump.
General Store…
There is a red truck parked next to it and some men are on the porch.
Yellow spittoon….
A brown drop of spittle clangs on the spittoon, rattling it. A red-bearded man with a blue bandanna sitting on the bench. There are two other men, the one to his right, Jasper, is wearing a white T-shirt and jeans, sitting on the bench. The man on the right has a black mullet and a red, checkered shirt, leaning on the wall. The man to the right spits, which hits the spittoon with a clang. There is a part of the porch with a round thing with an arrow pointing up on it in the doorway. Jack walks up.
"Excuse me…" Jack said, looking at the men, lowering his arms. "…Do you gentlemen have a bathroom?" He lifts his arms in question and the men look in confusion at him, continuing to collect spit in their mouths. "Outhouse?" The men look in confusion at Jack, continuing to collect spit in their mouths, again. Jack points out his finger and pointing downward, with slight hillbilly accent. "…Place I can whiz?"
"Can't you use Alicia's rhubarb?" Jasper asked, pointing and spits with a clang.
The Leaning Man is facing right. The man in the blue bandanna faces the other side to look at the leaning man.
"Are you nuts?" The leaning man asked, lifting his hand. "In the mood she's in?!" He moves his hand to his waist. "Didn't you hear about the dee-vorce?"
The leaning man spits with a clang, turning to the left.
"Divorce?" Jack asked, looking to the left, placing hand on chin, talking to himself. "Alicia must've gotten to Maddie, and word is spreading…" He looked to the right. "…through the Southern Grapevine!" All three men are spitting simultaneously. Jack is turning left, away from the men, his arms down and outside his sides. "I don't have a minute to lose, but first…" He turns to the men, clenching fists. "…which way was the rhubarb again?"
All three men point to the left and Jack starts to sweat as he turns around, clutching his abdomen. Jack turns to the left and runs away.
The Jasper opens his mouth, revealing decayed, yellow teeth on dirty gums. The Man In Blue Bandanna pops up as the Jasper looks his way and closes his mouth.
"Jasper! Get your teeth fixed…" The man in the blue bandanna said. "…you're giving the rest of us a bad name!"
The man in the blue bandanna spits again, with another clang.
Ghost Zone prison….
"Chow time!" A police ghost yelled, looking at Danny in the doorway, along with another identical police ghost behind him. The first one shoves Danny with his green pole. "Move it out!"
As Danny walks, he looks at the cafeteria. There are a few tables, each one occupied by six ghosts, two ghosts are at the food line with one ghost behind the counter, and there are two police ghosts guarding the entrance with four police ghosts guarding from the balcony above.
Danny looks at one table, with four ghosts that are colored in that he knows, and two that are in the background that he most likely doesn't. Skulker is sitting in the front on the right, Technus on the left, Desiree behind Technus and The Box Ghost behind Skulker.
Technus in the front with his fists clenched on the table, one of them with a spoon. There is a food tray in front of him. Desiree is sitting next to him, doing the same thing. On the other side of the table. Skulker is sitting in the front, with his fists clenched on the table, one of them with a spoon. There is a food tray in front of him, also. The Box Ghost is next to him, doing the same thing. Danny is sweating.
"Wow, heh, pretty much everyone who hates me and the Black Pearl all at one table." Danny said, with a weak chuckle. "Just like high school." He looks at the table. Everyone stands up and walks toward Danny, Technus is grasping his fist in his hand. The four of Danny's foes have him partially surrounded on the front side, with Technus on Danny's left, then Desiree, then The Box Ghost, then Skulker on the right. "Sorry I can't stay and catch up on old times!"
Danny walks backwards. He bumps into the food line. Danny turns around.
"Can I get anything, dearie?" The Lunch Lady Ghost asked, looking at Danny, while holding a tray over a pan of a gelatinous, green substance that is presumed to be food, being held by yellow-gloved hands. The hands shovel a gelatinous, tan substance onto a tray with a serving spoon. "Coffee? Pudding?" Danny looked up at her. "An extra helping of DOOM?!"
As the Lunch Lady Ghost says this, she reaches over the table with the ladle, her hair flailing under her hairnet until her face has filled the screen. Danny is leaning backward in fear. The Lunch Lady lunges at Danny with her ladle, laughing as she continues to fly forward. Danny is flying forward. He looks forward and screams. Danny collides into Skulker. He hangs onto Skulker until he looks up. Skulker then reaches out his arms and bumps Danny away.
The prisoners have all made a circle, surrounding Danny. Danny gets bumped into one ghost who tosses him at Technus. Danny collides head-first into him. Danny falls to the floor. Technus slaps Danny away with one of his bulky robot arms. Danny is flung away and the Lunch Lady is ready to catch Danny and is holding her ladle. The Lunch Lady gets Danny into a headlock with her ladle, but Danny is still standing up.
One fist of Skulker's is grabbed by the other hand, making a metallic clang sound.
"Payback time, ghost child!" Skulker said, angrily.
Skulker and other ghosts looked at Danny. Desiree is on the left, The Box Ghost is on the right. To the right of The Box Ghost is a green-skinned, red-eyed humanoid fish-type ghost. Skulker steps closer to Danny, pressing his fist to his palm. Danny is still in Lunch Lady's ladle-clench, waving his hand.
"Wait!" Danny said, thrusting his arm forward, and his arm retracts back to the ladle. "I'm not the enemy here. I mean, yeah…" He bends his arms out. "The Black Pearl and I sent you all back to the Ghost Zone…" Danny turns his arms to the right, the Lunch Lady, struggles to keep him in place. "…but we didn't lock you up here, did we?"
The Box Ghost floats up, his arms are up.
"It is true!" The Box Ghost said, pointing his finger. "They did not package us in this…" He turns the other way and outstretches his arms. "…box of iron!" The Box Ghost now lifts his arm up and points upward. "I am the B…"
The Box Ghost is interrupted as a metal arm pushes him away.
Skulker turns his head to face forward, "Go on."
"If we work together, we could all bust out of here." Danny said, in a headlock by the Lunch Lady's ladle. "And you could always…" He outstretches his arms to Skulker. "…kick my butt and the Black Pearl's butt later."
"The enemy of my enemy is my friend, for now." Skulker said.
The Lunch Lady releases Danny from her ladle grip, and he falls to the floor. Putting his hand on his chin, he picks himself up.
"Here's what we do…" Danny said, happily.
Specter Speeder…
The Specter Speeder drives into the Ghost Zone from the right and gets bigger as Tucker is driving, Sam and Jared are the passengers. There is a scope light illuminating the path ahead.
"Face it, Tucker, Jared. We're lost." Sam said, sighing.
"We really are lost. Going around the TARDIS is much easier than this. At least she shows you the way around her." Jared said, sadly.
Sam and Jared are looking at Tucker, Tucker is driving and pushing buttons on a device in his hand. The device is showing a transverse wave on its screen.
"If I could just re-calibrate the scanner…" Tucker said.
"You put way too much…" Sam said, looking out of the window to the Ghost Zone when a girl floats past. "…faith in technology." She is looking at the girl float past through the window. "Let's just get out and ask that girl for directions."The girl floats past with her eyes closed. "Hello there!"
Sam waves her hand, the girl outside stops and turns around Sam knocks on the glass.
The girl starts to glow and kneels down. Her body is spread backward as she transforms into a dragon with a flash of light. The dragon that used to be the girl roars, and snorts purple smoke.
"Sam, remember the school dance?" Jared asked, looking over at Sam.
"Yeah…" Sam said, frowning.
Tucker, Sam, and Jared are facing up in their seats. Tucker is clutching the control, Sam's boots are up and her hands are on Tucker's shoulders, Jared took out some jelly babies to snack on them.
"That's the ghost girl Danny took the Amulet of Aragon from!" Jared said, terrified.
"I WANT TO GO TO…." The Dragon Ghost said, in a deep, coarse voice, facing the speeder. "…THE BAAALL!"
Jared looked over at Sam and Tucker.
"Drive, Tucker!" Sam said, turning to face Tucker. "Drive!"
Tucker's hands push the control forward. Some beeps are heard.
Ghost Zone…
The speeder zooms away with green flame and the dragon changes direction to face the other way, flying off.
Ghost Zone prison cafeteria….
A lot of prisoners are seen from behind, raising their arms and chanting.
"Fight! Fight! Fight!" The prisoners said, chanting. "Fight! Fight!"
Danny screams as he is flung out of the crowd after being punched. One prisoner turns around with his fist in the air to see Danny fall. Danny slides on a table through many trays that still have gelatinous tan food on them, and a glass of green liquid. Danny is flying toward a pot, colliding into it. Pan down. The pot turns over and the green liquid in the pot smothers Danny. His aura changes from white to green.
"Ohhh…" Danny said, getting up. "My ghost leg!"
The upturned pot is on the floor. Across from the pot is a crowd of prisoners. Two hands push the crowd aside. Skulker pushes his way through the crowd and steps toward Danny.
"Pfh! My prey ceases to amuse me." Skulker said, scoffing.
Danny is still on the floor in the puddle of green liquid. His aura becomes white again. Two police ghosts are in the foreground. The one on the right speaks.
"Another one for the infirmary." The police ghost said.
The two police ghosts fly up to Danny. Danny flies up and punches one of the police ghosts, who is flung off to the side. Danny grabs the green stick the ghost was carrying and tosses it to the left and he grabs the Gekota walkie talkie from him as well and placed it inside his pocket.
"Now!" Danny yelled.
The stick comes from the right as Skulker's arm grabs it from the left. Skulker is in front of a crowd of ghosts.
"Attack!" Skulker said, raising his arms backward.
At a part of the cafeteria, many prisoners run past. At a wall, two prisoners deck a police ghost onto a wall. At another wall, another prisoner decks the police ghost onto it.
Somewhere else in the prison, two prisoners are decking another police guard, on is about to punch it, and two prisoners to the left of them are wrestling another guard. A guard falls to the floor. A prisoner wrenches off its helmet/mask, revealing an ugly face with warts, crooked teeth and facial hair. The prisoner's fingers move to his chin as he screams in fear at the guard's face, rushing away in a puff of smoke.
In another area of the prison, prisoners are rioting and wrestling with the guards. Skulker enters from the top and decks another guard onto the floor. He grabs the guard's green pole and gets up. Skulker has the pole in his outstretched arms, letting out 3 green lasers that zap from right to left. At the balcony, one guard is holding out his pole, ready to zap. The guard gets hit and glows green, a restraint surrounding his chest and arms.
With Technus, two guards grab him from both sides. Technus's robot body lifts them up and thrusts them off. At a counter, the two guards that have been flung over there crash into the counter. Desiree floats up from behind, grabs two buckets that are on the counter, and slams them over the guard's heads in green liquid. She flies over the counter, looking back at her victims, smiling.
Somewhere else in the prison, Danny is on the floor in a fight stance. He jumps out. Danny is on a table. Danny jumps over a prisoner and a guard fighting, then lands on the next table and does a backflip. He lands back-to-back with Skulker. Danny and Skulker are surrounded by 5 guards with poles.
The two wink at each other, Skulker is giving a thumbs up. Danny and Skulker two take huge leaps and give battle cries. Danny punches a guard.
Danny gives a guard an uppercut. Danny kicked a guard in the torso with a straight, outstretched leg. Danny is punching a guard with crooked teeth and a tongue sticking out on the back of the neck.
Skulker takes out his fist and pounds a guard. He has the heads of two guards being crammed together by brute force. Skulker punches another guard from the side. Skulker is in a stance with his arm on the floor behind a guard that has its mouth wide open in pain and is upside-down.
Danny turns around. 6 guards are blocking the doorway, all of them holding a green pole and a shield. Each guard shoots out a laser from their pole in sequence.
On the other side of the room. Skulker is standing leftmost. The ghost next to Skulker gets zapped, glows green and is restrained by his chest and arms. The second one is the same. The third one that gets zapped in on its knees on the floor, bending backwards. The fourth one falls to the floor without arms to hold it up. The fifth one is in a fighter stance as it gets zapped, bending to the left as it gets restrained. Danny is standing right-most. Danny turns around to look at Skulker.
At the doorway. All six guards raise their poles and turn so their riot shields block their bodies. Danny and Skulker looked at a bunch of convulsing, restrained bodies in front of a silhouetted crowd. The guards are there. The Lunch Lady flies up with a tray of red apples.
"Can I offer you…" The Lunch Lady said, as two guards looked at her. "…gentlemen some apples?" The two guards look at each other in confusion and shake their heads no, making the Lunch Lady angry. "Then…" She gets closer to the two ghosts as theroom turns purple. "…dine on my FURY!"
The Lunch Lady Ghost's gloved hands glow. They start clench together. The light makes a spear shape and round out at the top, glowing another color. The guards are shocked as light reflects off their visors. Danny and Skulker are nearby with Danny on the left and Skulker is on the right. Technus is behind Skulker and Desiree is behind Danny. Light reflects off them. Nearby, in the cafeteria, the Lunch Lady is holding a large chicken drumstick.
In the hallway, many guards run out of it. The wall gets crushed as bricks and smoke fill the screen. The smoke clears to show a giant drumstick has been crashed into the wall across the doorway, and the doorway is totaled with an even bigger hole. The hallway has cracks on the walls and chunks of wall on the floor. The Lunch Lady and Desiree fly out. Danny, Skulker and Technus run out, The Box Ghost flies out in front of Technus.
Skulker zaps the pole he's carrying. Two guards glow green and are restrained from the chest and arms, falling to the floor. A huge crowd of prisoners charge forward, with the main villains in the front. Danny is behind Skulker and Desiree. They run, getting closer to the camera. Five restrained guards are on the floor, struggling to get free. At a steel doorway that a crowd of prisoners are next to. Some prisoners run up.
"You're going the wrong way!" Skuler yelled, looking at Danny.
Danny stops running. He turns around to the right and looks at a door. A crowd of prisoners are next to it. Skulker is in the front, with Technus to the left and Lunch Lady to the right.
"Yes sweetie…" The Lunch Lady said, opening her arms. "You're supposed to riot with the guards here…" She gets closer to the screen and turns irate. Her hair is flailing under her hairnet. "…And face your doom out there!" The Lunch Lady becomes nice again, backing up and holding up a pie. "Pie?"
"No thanks…" Danny said, looking at the Lunch Lady. "I have some unfinished business with the warden."
The Lunch Lady lifts her arms and looks at Danny's shoulder.
"Okay." The Lunch Lady said, turning around and flies out the door.
"Good luck, child." Skulker said, looking at Danny. "I look forward to hunting you and your friend, on the other side."
"Thanks." Danny said, while his expression changes from happy to confused. "I think?"
Specter Speeder….
At the cockpit of the Specter Speeder, Sam, Tucker, and Jared are seat belted. Tucker is clutching the controls. Sam's arms are pressed to the back of her seat. And Jared is still snacking on his jelly babies.
"Can't this tub go any faster?" Sam asked.
"I don't know." Jared said, sadly.
Sam, Tucker, and Jared lookup.
"I'm trying!" Tucker yelled, as Jared looked at him. "We're also looking for…" He turns the Specter Speeder to the left. "...Danny too, you know."
Outside the Specter Speeder, it is on a diagonal. The large dragon is behind it. It shrieks. The speeder changes sides to the right as the dragon flies to the left. The Speeder changes direction. The speeder falls down.
"Ugh!" Sam said, angrily.
Tucker looks at the scope coming up in front of him.
"Real-world item detected." A computer voice said.
"That's Fenton tech." Jared said, looking at the scope that is a full green circle above the dashboard now. In the center of it shows a red arrow pointing right to a red dot. "We must be getting close."
"Sweet." Tucker said, smiling.
The speeder passes the scope and flies to the right. The dragon roars and follows to the right. The speeder is in a green void. It slows down as it gets closer to the jail doors. At the cockpit, Tucker has a feared expression as he clutches the controls as Sam is pressing her arms to the back of the seat, calling out.
"Tucker!" Sam yelled. "Look out!"
The speeder flies closer to the doors. It phases through. The dragon collides with the doors face first. Inside the jail, it's dark. The speeder phases through the door. Tucker is looking out of the window, towards what him, Sam, and Jared saw.
"File that on under…" Tucker said, turning the Specter Speeder to the right. "'Would've been nice to know we could do that trick in the first place'. Jared, you should have told us we could do that trick."
"Sorry." Jared said, tossing a jelly baby into his mouth. "We were being chased by a dragon."
Ghost Zone prison….
Walker's arms are hunched over on a desk with fists clenched. One of them lands on the rulebook under it. Walker is talking on a PA microphone.
"Guards, what's going on down there?" Walker asked, as the room is dimmed purple. "Somebody answer me!"
At the metal doorway, Danny barges in with his leg kicking it open. He is back in his hazmat instead of the prison attire. He puts his foot down.
"How about saying…" Danny said, looking at Walker. "'Please'?" Walker is in the room. "Saying 'please' is a rule."
Walker is thrown back in surprise.
"It is?" Walker asked, licking his finger and opening the rulebook.
The book has many paragraphs that read section A-D. Walker's finger is on Section C. Danny's hand comes in and Danny slamming the book on Walker's finger. Walker has a pained expression.
"Is now." Danny said, blinking and looking to the left. The present is still floating and glowing in place, causing Danny to look at it. "The present!"
Danny leaps forward and flies, getting closer to the present. He passes Walker. The present is floating in the upper left corner of the room. Danny is flying from the right reaching out to grab it, but he is held back a few inches away. Walker is holding a tight grip on Danny's other leg. He turns around and thrusts Danny, who gives out a grunt. Danny lands on the floor. He tries to get up, but a huge boot steps on his chest, pinning him to the ground.
"Now let me acquaint you…" Walker said, and Danny lifts his arms to pry the boot off. "…with a few rules." Danny is on the floor with his hands on Walker's boot, staring up. Walker is standing over Danny, staring down. "Rule one." Walker holds up a finger crouches down. "You cross me…" Danny is on the floor and Walker's boot applies pressure to his chest. "…you pay the consequences." Walker is holding up two fingers. "Rule two. Just because you're a ghost doesn't mean I can't crush you…" He clenches a fist. "…within an inch of your…" Danny looked up at Walker's face. "…afterlife." Walker is still standing on Danny and holds out his fingers. "Rule three…"
The Specter Speeder phases through the wall. Tucker is looking at Danny while holding the controls, Sam is looking out with her hands pressed against the window and Jared is eating some chocolate chip cookies. Danny looked over at the Specter Speeder. Sam's hands are still against the window. Tucker runs up. Danny is still under Walker's boot. The speeder is in the distance.
"Tucker, Sam, Jared! How'd you get in here?" Danny asked.
Sam's hands, Tucker's hands, and Jared's hands are pressed against the window of the Specter Speeder. Tucker is on the right, Jared is in the middle, Sam on the left. Tucker is smiling.
"Check it out!" Tucker said, removing his hands from the window. "…real-world stuff…" He moves his hands to the right for emphasis. "…just phases through everything…" Tucker puts his hands back on the window. "…in here."
"Yup. In the real world, ghost stuff phases through there." Jared said, snacking on the chocolate chip cookies.
"In the Ghost Zone, we're the ghosts!" Sam said, her hands on the window.
Danny is upright despite being on the floor under a boot.
"We're the ghosts?" Danny asked, repeating what Sam said. "Jared, that explains why you stayed behind with Sam and Tucker. And, well, didn't come with me. So... maybe it's time to stop fighting like a ghost…" Walker is standing on Danny, whose hands are still on the boot and whose legs have spread out. Danny smirks. "And start fighting like a kid!"
"Yup!" Jared said, and Danny outstretched his arms and transformed back to his human form. "You can!"
Danny turns translucent as Walker's boot sinks into Danny's body. Walker is thrown back, aghast at what happened. He is standing in front of Danny. Danny walks through Walker, who bends forward. Walker turns around to look at Danny. Danny reaches up to take the present.
"I'll take that!" Danny said, turning around and walks off.
Walker tries to grab Danny, only to have his arms pass through him.
"Why…" Walker said, trying to grab Danny but fails. "...can't…" He fails again. "…I…" Walker turns around and lunges for Danny, but misses. He jumps onto Danny but phases through. Danny walks off, translucent. "…touch you?!"
Danny is translucent, but turns opaque.
"Forget it, Walker. This is the Ghost Zone, The Black Pearl and I are not just ghosts…" Danny said, walking to the Specter Speeder with Walker looking at him. "…we're human. Your rules…" He puts the present under one arm and grabs the back of the Specter Speeder with the other. "…don't apply."
The Specter Speeder has Danny hanging on the back of it. The speeder phases through a wall in a green circle in between a closed metal door and a bookcase.
Walker is kneeling on the floor, holding up his arms, "NOOOOO!"
Alicia's cottage in Spittoon…
It's dark, and the moon is showing. Maddie is sitting on the porch, on the bench. She is on the bench, looking at her white cup and saucer. Maddie sips from it.
"Why, hey there!" Jack said, walking up to Maddie, wearing blue overalls over his orange jumpsuit and his hair is in a large bun at the front of his head. He is leaning towards Maddie. "Pretty young thang!"
Jack is holding out four pink flowers.
"Jack Fenton, what on Earth are you doing?" Maddie asked, still holding the cup on the saucer.
Jack rushes to Maddie, holding the flowers and pointing at her.
"Sweet talking you…" Jack said, pointing his finger up. "…proving I can step away from…" He motions his hand toward the window. "…work and pay attention to our relationship." Jack looks at his wrist. "Um... ah." He has taken out a slip of paper from his overalls pocket and is holding out the flowers and closing his eyes. "You've got a smile that shines like…" Jack faces the other direction. "...swamp gas in the moonlight."
Jack opens his eyes and looks away, towards the three men from the general store hiding in the bushes, in the same formation as before. They all give thumbs up, and Jasper on the right holds up two arms and opens his mouth to reveal his bad teeth. Jack is holding up the paper.
"Your mind twinkles like the moon…" Jack said, looking at the paper, sort-of puzzled by the wording. "…off the bumper of my pick-em-up truck, and…" He tries to smile, but pauses and turns around to the three men. "Oh, this…" Jack is holding the paper, Maddie is in the distance on the bench. "…is stupid."
"What's stupid, Jack? Anything…" Maddie said, looking at Jack. "…besides ghosts?"
"No…" Jack said, fuzzes his hair from bun-style to normal. "…but pretending to be something…" He holds out his arms. "I'm not is." Maddie is no longer holding her saucer, it disappeared. "You know I can be a fool…" Jack puts a hand on his head. "…and you know that I can forget things…" He removes his hand from his head. "But the one thing you know more than anything…" Jack stands up straight and points a finger to the air. "…even more than that ghosts exist and that…" He crouches down and waves his hand out. "your sister is a bitter old bat…" Jack is kneeling on the ground with his palm out, while looking at Maddie. "…is that I love you, baby."
"Oh, Jack." Maddie said, touched, lifting her hand to her mouth.
"And…" Jack said, looking back, frowning. "I wanted to give you…" Jack thought about the anniversary present. "To give you…"
Fenton Works…
He thought about the present on the counter, him running out, and pointing out a finger and holding an olive suitcase.
"I'm coming, Maddie!" Jack yelled.
Alicia's cottage in Spittoon…
"Aw, crud." Jack said, hitting his face with his hand.
Jack is kneeling on the ground with his face in his hand, Maddie with her hand on her chest.
"You forgot the present, didn't you?" Maddie asked.
Jack looks up and Alicia comes out of the doorway. Maddie turns to face her.
"Told you he was a fool." Alicia said, smirking.
Maddie looks over at Jack, who is still kneeling on the ground. He shrugs.
"Well I…" Jack said, looking up at Maddie. "I, uh…"
"No he didn't!" Danny said, excitedly.
Jared had typed up the coordinates of the cottage and yard ahead of time on his vortex manipulator. Alicia is still standing in the doorway, Maddie is still on the bench, and Jack is kneeling but looking up. They all stand up and look forward as Jasmine, Danny, and Jared appear in a flash of blue light, Danny is carrying a box. On the ground, Danny lands safely as the time vortex disappears. Danny runs up with the present.
"H-He kept it at home…" Danny said, while Jack is holding out his arms. Danny walks towards Jack, handing the box to him. "—uh, so the mosquitoes wouldn't get it?"
"How did you get the coordinates to this place?" Jasmine asked, looking over at Jared.
Danny holds out his arms at his shoulders.
"River gave me the coordinates on my psychic paper." Jared said, happily.
Jack crouches over to Danny, holding the box.
"Good boy. You're getting a raise in your allowance for this." Jack said, whispering to Danny.
Danny puts his finger on his chin, "I have an allowance?"
Jack slides up on his knees with the present in one hand towards Maddie.
"Happy anniversary, baby!" Jack said, standing up. "And I'm sorry. I'll try to be better about…" Maddie hugs him. "…things in the future."
Alicia walks up from the left. Danny, Jasmine, and Jared walk up from the right. Danny holds up a finger.
"You guys aren't getting a divorce?" Danny asked, putting his arms down.
"Danny, your mom would rather divorce Vlad. If she got married to him instead of your dad." Jared said, looking between Jack, Maddie and Alicia.
Maddie is holding the present.
"Divorce?" Maddie asked, leaning forward to Danny. "Who said anything about us…" She stands up straight. "…getting a divorce?"
Jared looked between Danny and Jasmine from behind. A honking is heard. Danny, Jazz, and Jared turn around. Alicia, Maddie and Jack look up.
A red pick-up truck full of people cheering, which drives up. Jared looked at the person on the driver's seat. The Man in the Blue Bandanna is driving, with the Leaning man in the red shirt hanging off on the car door for the driver's seat, and Jasper with his mouth hanging open, with broken-yet-whitened teeth, in the passenger seat. They are cheering and waving. The trunk has three other men in it, the left-most one is playing a tambourine, the middle one is playing an accordion, and the one in the back is playing a long string instrument. The headlights on the car are all blazing.
The Fentons and Jared are all hunched over. Alicia is in the back, with Maddie holding the gift, Jack next to Maddie, and Danny and Jared behind Jazz. The Fentons all turn around. Jasmine, Danny, and Jared look confused while Maddie and Jack look happy, Jack's arms are up. Alicia's arms are on her neck.
"Surprise!" Jack and Maddie said, at the same time.
Maddie runs up and wraps her arm around Alicia, motioning to the left. Alicia turns around. Pan left to show Alicia's cottage, with a giant poster being unraveled on it. It reads 'A DECADE OF DIVORCE' in big, red letters. Two men come up from behind it, one comes up on the roof. They are waving their arms and cheering.
"A party!" Alicia said, turning to face Maddie. "For the tenth anniversary of my divorce!" She sniffs and cries. "You remembered!"
Maddie thrusts her arms out.
"Well, sure!" Maddie said, facing the other direction, her arm on Alicia's back."I even convinced your ex-husband to come."
Dunk tank…
Jack, Danny, and Jared are looking at the dunk tank. The ex-husband has brown hair and is wearing a tan hat. He is sitting on the platform of the dunk tank over a pool of water. Jasper pops up.
"I could never do country life." Jared said, sadly. "That isn't for me. It's too slow. Give me the suburbs or the city any day."
"Get set to get wet…" Jasper said, lifting his arm, which now has a pot roast in it. "…yuppie!"
Jasper tosses the pot roast which hits the target with a bell sound. The ex-husband is looking at the target as he gets dunked into the water. His hat is still floating above it.
"Agreed." Danny said, grabbing Jared's hand. "Why did you choose this again?"
Jared looked over at another party-goer.
"Yea-haah!" The man cheered.
The man is playing in a band, he is in the middle playing the accordion. The man on the left is playing the tambourine while the man on the right has a long string instrument. The others dancing next to the poster-covered cottage, Jasper is left-most, with the bandanna man next to him, Alicia to the right of the bandana man, and the red-shirt is right-most. Jack is holding Maddie in his arms next to him, and Maddie is still carrying the box.
"Well, aren't you…" Jack said, pointing at the box. "…going to open the present?"
Maddie gives the box to Jack, as he crouches down to let Maddie rip it up. The Box Ghost flies out of it as the background changes to a teal action background.
"I am…" The Box Ghost said, waving his hands all spooky. "The Box Ghost!"
Jared looked between Danny and Jasmine. Jasmine is holding a coral colored book in her hands, reading it.
"They weren't ever gonna…" Danny said, holding his arm out. "…get a divorce!" He looked over at Jared. "It was all just a huge misunderstanding."
"Yup. It was. Like I said, Maddie would rather divorce Vlad if she knew she had to be with Jack." Jared said, happily.
"Mom with Vlad Master. That isn't a combination I can see." Jazz said, looking into a coral colored book. "But, Dad doesn't…" She turns to face Danny and Jared, then turns back to her book. "…apologize! Dad doesn't understand what a goof he can be!"
Jared looked between Jasmine and Danny. Jasmine's head is turned to face Dannyand Jared, her chin is up, and her eyes are closed.
"These are constants!" Jazz said, angrily.
Danny, Jasmine, and Jared turn around to face the Box Ghost.
"Beware!" The Box Ghost said, leaning over and raising his arms before flying off.
Maddie and Jack chase the Box Ghost, "Ghooost!"
"Ah…" Jazz said, closing her book. "…sweet normalcy." She turns to face Jared. "Thank you Jared for telling me earlier. I'll take being…" Jazz lifts a finger and puts it down. "…right and embarrassed over wrong every time."
Jasmine is facing Danny and Jared.
"Want some rhubarb pie?" Jazz asked, holding up a pie, making Danny reach out for it.
"Love some." Danny said, happily.
"Give me some apple pie. Rhubarb isn't my thing." Jared said, smiling.
The bandanna man's head pokes in and he raises his finger. Danny, Jasmine, and Jared turn around to face him.
"I'd stay away from those…" The bandanna man said, looking between Danny, Jasmine, and Jared. "…if I was you."
He spits with a clang. Then he smiles and winks.
